I recently moved in the Ko'ula at the Ward Village. Being a newly built Condo, I was looking for more of a modern approach for the shades. The Ko'ula Condo Unit had default local supplier they wanted me to go through but realized this is not the way I wanted to do. I was looking for more upscale modern approach for the window treatments. I was researching online and found A Blinds along with few other local vendors through search. I decided to get an estimate from several vendors by arranging the appointments. At A Blinds, a very nice female staff answered and helped me with the appointments. Daniel and Jae came and gave me suggestion, I was totally sold on their idea. Not to mention their prices were so much more competitive than the default supplier I was told to go with. The material also looked much high end than the other local window treatment companies. I really liked their approach with the energy saving option which had silver aluminum backing in for the extra layer of U.V Protection. After about 2 weeks, they came out to install my new Condo Ko'ula unit. Apparently they have also done the Penthouse at my condo as well as many other units. I was very surprised and after about 3-4 hours from initial start, they were complete flawlessly. I would say I'm more than happy with the current energy saving shades with black out shades in the bedroom. I cannot recommend A Blinds more enough, these guys are top when it comes to window treatments. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to get the best energy saving, blackout shades at the most reasonable prices in the Island. read more

They had variety of fabric choices that were imported from Korea and Japan. We just bought a condo in Aiea and needed some type of window covering for our lanai door. Aaron and Danny with A Blinds came out and unlike other companies, showed me the actual blinds and what it would look like on my window. They explained that the material of the blinds is the same product as what's installed at the Incheon Airport in Korea. I liked that the blinds have a UV protective coating on the backside yet still provide visibility to see outside. We ordered the blinds on the spot and was surprised to find that the shipping process would only take 2-3 weeks. I had gotten a quote from another company and they had indicated a turnaround time of at least 4 weeks. True to their word, the blinds arrived in about 2 1/2 weeks and were installed immediately. Our condo has a strong cross breeze which caused our blinds to sway and get off track. I called Aaron and told him about the problem and by the next week, Danny was out fixing the blinds, no complaints or issues. When I first set out on, deciding what to do about my window coverings, this company was among the first who responded to my request in a timely manner. Scheduling their free consultation was a breeze. They were literally in my house measuring and showing me samples within the next week. At first, I thought I really wanted plantation shutters, and there was nothing that could change my mind about this decision until I met Jae. As he was going through the sample for the plantation shutters, we started talking more about the feel of the home that I was going for rollup shades wasn't some thing that would have crossed my mind until we started talking, and some thing just clicked. At first, I was debating on getting the rollup shades without remote, but the more we spoke the more convenient and feasible it would be to get the shades with the remote. I live in Waikiki, where the noise and light pollution is constant. I needed a solution for my bedroom blinds that would still allow for a glimpse of the view but would be close to blackout blinds at night time. Jae did an amazing consultation and found a tailor-made blind of very high quality that more than matched my color palette. He also measured to the 1/10 of a millimeter and was able to install level blinds in a former lanai that was not level itself! The time between consultation and installation was very quick, which is amazing considering supply chain issues and being in Hawaii. The team at A-Blinds is in constant communication to get your job done to meet your satisfaction. The install team was also amazing and efficient. They installed in two rooms in under two hours with perfect results. The result - simply stunning - the rooms look fresher, brighter and feel more comfortable. After previously purchasing sunscreen shades from A Blinds, me and my wife decided we wanted more privacy. So we contacted Jae. We ask him for a recommendation to add to our existing shades and he said he had a perfect color in mind. The color he picked wasn't a color we would have even consider, but because we trusted him from the experience we had with him before we went with it. On installation day once the first shade was installed we were in love with the color. The color was absolutely beautiful and the fabric was very high quality. I don't recall what the exact name of the color was but depending on the lighting and how the sun hits it, it looks like a very light lavender to somewhat purple. We were walking by the International Marketplace after looking at the yelp. Khibeen was helping us through samples and we decided to get an estimation. Okay, so I walked in their store at the mall thinking it was a dinnerware store while I was shopping at IMP. Looked like they've got some fancy plate and porcelain sets if you look from their storefront (note they have a different name for their signage - SOM ). They were actually a shade company that carries shades and blinds that are made with high-quality fabrics but also carries some of the high-end brand dinnerware at this location. I actually had a home that recently has been renovated and was needing new window treatments so I got more info on that from them. The sales staff seemed very professional and were very confident about the quality of their products. They said they get the materials from many different countries and places and their factory and HQ are based in California. For the shade that I chose for my home, I decided to go with the modern, minimal design one they had, which was recommended by Jae and Dongjin. Price-wise, it was reasonable because I thought it was going to be more on the expensive side since the quality was really good when I looked at the sample they had. Yes I had quotes from few other places as well but I chose this place over others because they gave me the best price. From placing orders to installation, Dongjin came to install with his helper. He was very professional in getting the shade to be installed perfectly. It looked just fabulous and the color really brighten up the room with the nice ambience. Check out the photos I posted.
