Rosie was such a special part of our birth experience and now I just can't imagine it without her. She met with us in the weeks before to get to know us and to talk about our desires for our birth and techniques we hoped to use during labor and delivery. She was available 24/7 from 37 weeks, kept in touch about my weekly doctor appointments and also sent me links to things she thought I'd be interested in or things that would help me and baby. She met us at the hospital when we asked her to join us. She was such a calm and confident presence during my labor, offering me and my husband support and reassurance. She was polite and courteous towards the staff when requesting that I come off the continuous monitor and move around. We were able to have the natural hospital birth that we hoped for and our happy and healthy baby girl arrived beautifully. Rosie stayed with us to offer help with initiating breastfeeding and then paid us a number of visits at home postpartum to spend time with us, to talk about the birth and to help us in practical ways. She will always have a special place in our hearts and I am delighted to recommend Rosie as a doula!

Unlike the first location, the team was incredibly responsive, lead with empathy and explained every step of the way. Dr. Jeffrey Richmond who did my surgery is a saint. He legit saved my life. Once out of surgery, I was sent to recover on 7 Tower- with an award winning team of nurses and pcas who were all so sensitive to my condition and did their best to make me feel comfortable and heal with integrity. Special shout-out to my nurses: Emily, Scheno, Gabby Marc ( PCA), Khiki ( vein expert ) and Patrick from PT who didn't just help me to work on my mobility but gave me pep talks when was becoming emotionally challenged. Shout out to Scott in 4 Tower. Amazing nurse Unfortunately I have been back twice. The ER waiting time is unforgiving. I checked in after 1:00 PM and did not get a bed until after 1 the next morning. Visiting hours are 24 hrs and valley parking is available. The 24 hrs is tricky as they have "quiet time" starting 9:30 PM but if your roommate has guest until 2:00 AM, then you might not get rest. Meals are decent and well balanced. Typical breakfast: French toast and eggs, juice and fruit. Lunch/ dinner: a chicken or fish and mashed potatoes etc. They even throw in a little Hagan Daaz or icy. Critical care: 8/10 Quality of care: 10/10 Facility: 10/10 Food: 8/10

This has to be one of the worst emergency rooms in the country, definitely in New York. My wife got…read moreto the hospital into the emergency room on her own accord at around 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. She was finally discharged at around 5:30 the following morning with absolutely zero findings, still in pain. They actually asked her to return if she still had pain, but they were discharging her with pain. She was called after almost an hour back to the emergency ward out of the waiting room and placed on a stretcher in the corridor by the nurses station for about 10 hours. Apparently no rooms available, even though there were two empty ones. They didn't check on her or ask her if she needed anything. It took hours between CT scan and ultrasound to get any kind of results. We will never even consider this location for any emergencies in the future and you should not as well. I think there was a major failure in the nursing staff because it's their responsibility to make sure that patients are comfortable and informed. Why my wife was standing, waiting to get her discharge papers with IV still in her arm absolutely unacceptable.

Thanks to the breathing techniques, visualizations, and overall mindset preparation she taught, I was able to have an unmedicated 7-hour labor (most of it at home, arriving to the hospital almost 8cm dilated!!) with no tearing--delivering a healthy 7lb baby girl. Elizabeth's guidance gave me the confidence to trust my body and stay calm through every stage of labor. The tools I learned helped me through my surges, stay as relaxed as possible, and truly embrace the wonder and joy of the birth experience. I'm beyond grateful for this course and would highly recommend it to any expecting mama looking for an empowering, positive birth! Our bodies were made for birth and I am so proud of what I was able to accomplish with Elizabeth's help!

She truly cared so much about my husband and I and took the time to walk us through each and every step. We were so nervous being first time parents about the birthing experience and she truly not only prepared us but really put us at ease. When it came time for the actual day of the labor things did not go exactly as planned and Elizabeth was right there for it all! I cannot imagine going through that whole experience without her there. My husband feels the exact same way. She also was so great with the doctors and nurses. She never overstepped but kindly had my back throughout the process. I do believe that should she not have been there, the hospital staff would have pushed me to do things that I didn't want, like a C-section. It took far more time to do a natural birth but with her support I was able to have my daughter vaginally like I very much wanted. If you are considering hiring Elizabeth as your doula, I would definitely do it! She made our pregnancy and birth feel so much safer and she really took care of us every step of the way.
