I called Climate Experts to fix a cracked PVC pipe on the outlet side of my water softener filter…read more The repair involved exposing and replacing a roughly 2-foot section of pipe (3/4" to 2"), and it completely resolved the issue with my water softener system. The technician was friendly and knew what he was doing; he worked efficiently and had it sorted without any hassle. My only real note is on price: the repair was on the expensive side for what it was. That said, the work was done right, and the problem was fixed, which ultimately matters most. Overall a solid experience, and I'd consider them again for future plumbing needs.

I am writing to formally address a dispute regarding the water heater installation services…read moreprovided by Climate Experts. Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Forced Purchase of Additional Water Heater: Due to time constraints related to the sale of the house, Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, leaving me with no choice but to purchase the recommended water heater for installation in the attic. The new water heater was installed with an invoice dated 17 February 2025 and signed 13 February 2025. Issues and Concerns Failure to Honor Signed Quote: The signed quote explicitly stated that the water heater could be installed in the garage. Climate Experts refused to honor this agreement, citing additional costs and unforeseen circumstances despite having sufficient information (pictures, listing details, etc.) to prepare the quote. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. Financial Impact: I incurred additional costs due to Climate Experts' refusal to honor the original agreement and their lack of due diligence.

They installed a brand new air conditioning system back in June and it has been leaking and…read moredripping water ever since and 2 months later they came out for the fifth attempt to repair it and 9 hours later the caulk is liquid as water and there is active water sitting on the system AGAIN and worse than ever before. When I reached out to their customer service, I was told that despite the fact that they offer a one-year warranty to remove the system they would send me a quote for a cost to remove it. Each time they come out they find new issues with the previous repair job but ultimately blame it on the heat. Their poor system has caused water damage in my garage and in the vent nearest the handler and it's been ignored the last two attempts to repair the system. At this point I am not interested in a sixth time at my home. To add insult to injury, the last time they showed up they drove across my lawn leaving about a 10-ft rut in brand new sod and said nothing to me about it. The last photos are 24 hrs after their FIFTH time at my home. The silver tape is covered in condensation and there is active standing water on the horizontal portion of the handler stand, AGAIN. The caulk about 9 hours after installation was wet to the touch like pen ink. That was the same issue with the mastic 3 in 4 days after it was installed and the owner blamed it on the brand of mastic they were using yet they came out with a second type of brand and 3 days later it was also dripping. To add insult to injury last night I requested a date for them to come and remove the system. Their contract specifically states that they will remove and refund 100% if the customer is not happy with the system within a year. It is written in plain English. Today the owner responds back with the availability to have the system removed and tells me that oh by the way, they're only going to refund me 90% because of a finance fee between him and the finance company he contracts. So he expects me to take a $1,100 loss for a system that's been causing damage to my home for 3 months and I've wasted probably about 25 hours of paid time off to have to come home and wait on his technicians to attempt to repair it once again. The owner has never acknowledged any responsibility to the issues and continually blamed it on "me not happy with the systems performance" yet his agent when I have sent texts with photos of the issues has acknowledged on several occasions that there are issues with the system or install.

Palm Bay Air & Heat - Air Conditioning installation. I was…read morereferred by ServicePlus Home Warranty (an on-line company) to contact Palm Bay Air & Heat as the local contractor. Palm Bay Air & Heat were indifferent and took 3 phone calls to get them to verify the claim number from ServicePlus. Every time the answer was to call back later. Finally the claim was located, the technician took 2 days to come to the house. This company charges you the $75.00 Service Call up front on the phone before the technician comes to the site. Every time I called Palm Bay Air & Heat, the customer service personnel refused to give their name and got irritated when you insisted about it. Every time they had to put you on hold to check with the manager, and their answer was to call later. I already had the feeling that this was a mistake to continue with this company, but it was the one recommended by the Home Warranty Company. The technician finally came to inspect the unit and it was an old unit, so he recommended to replace the same and to upgrade to 4 ton of power. I gave the deposit (they made me pay the 3% VISA charge, because I didn't pay with a Cashier's check) and the technician promised to come back to fill the Old Unit with Freon to at least alleviate the extreme heat in the house. The manager was upset when I called to check on the time of arrival, because I was getting free Freon. The technician showed up 2 days later at 10:30 PM to fill the Freon. By this point it was 4 days already into the situation without Air Conditioning in the middle of Summer. The unit stopped cooling 2 days later (6 days so far). When questioned when the unit was going to be installed, I got the run around again by the manager that the units and parts had to be ordered. They should have done this the day they got the deposit. Finally on Saturday they called to confirm the installation by Tuesday morning (11 days so far). I do have to say that the 4 technicians did a great installation job and finally the house was cooled down again on Tuesday. The technician got the balance payment, (by the way it was required to be a Cashier's check, no credit card) on Aug 4th and asked me to sign and choose the date I wanted for the inspector to come to the house. I picked a Friday, Aug 14th. They charged $195.00 for the Permit/inspection fee. I waited for 9 hours on Aug 14th and the inspector never showed up. When I contacted Palm Bay Air & Heat to find out what happened, again, they put me on hold to check with the manager, and their answer was to call later. I tried several times and got angry because I figured out that they never contacted the Permit office. To my surprise the Permit Office In Melbourne had issue the Permit to Palm Bay Air & Heat but had not paid for it. This is the dumb process by any government agency I have ever seen. So, Palm Bay Air & Heat gets to keep the permit indefinitely without paying for it, keeps the $195.00, and I never got an inspector to come to see the unit, even though I paid for it. I ended up paying to another company to come to inspect the unit. I definitely don't want anything to do with ServicePlus Home Warranty, Palm Bay Air & Heat, and neither to deal with the Permit Office in Melbourne, FL. That manager at Palm Bay Air & Heat is nothing else than a tightwad.
