Stay and Play is located just off a main road, down a dirt path. Our original reservation had to be rescheduled because the weather did not permit us to get on the water.Libby allowed us to reschedule for another day. Now, whilst on the water we had a minor issue with our motor.Though it took them a little bit to locate another boat to get to us, Libby came to the rescue and saved the day. Since we had some complications that didn't allow us to fully enjoy the day, she even let us keep the pontoon a little longer than we were supposed to. She was responsive, flexible and generally very sweet despite the fact we called her 100 times throughout the day. I appreciate businesses who are courteous and put customers first. We will be returning many times this summer. Thanks stay & play!

They made special accommodations for me to pick up, took time to take my out on the lake to teach me how everything worked, and then in the way back I ran out of gas. They had to come pick me up, stayed late, and we're still super friendly and accommodating the whole time . The boating was the highlight of the trip, and whenever I am back in town to see my family, I am renting a boat again, and I will use these guys every time!

I've never met someone more helpful, thoughtful and genuinely kind and appreciate everything she did for us. She went above and beyond. The park itself is kept very clean, including the bathrooms at the campsite. We stayed at site 44 which is used for RVs and tents. We had a tent and a car tent so this site was perfect and spacious for both. There is a power box and water hookup on all the RV sites. The water at Lake Jocassee is as beautiful as everyone claims it to be. We spent hours on the water swimming, floating, and kayaking. There are tons of fish to see if you feel like snorkeling or scuba diving (yes you can dive here! Many people come here to get certified.) We got caught in the rain but that didn't hinder the trip at all. There was no noticeable flooding of any kind. We did witness an emergency on one of the beaches and the rangers were very quick to act and attentive. The man was stabilized and all was well fortunately but I appreciate how quickly the staff acted. (This is one of many reasons why it is so important to fund our packs and keep the appropriate people employed here!)

They were so accommodating and helped us over the phone to book sites. It was dark by the time we got there and we woke up to a surprisingly beautiful view! The water looked sooo clear. We weren't too far from the bathroom (they have showers + hot water)! We had water/electric connections as well and it was really affordable. There are many waterfalls that you can drive to nearby and hiking trails too. We ended up staying another night because we really enjoyed it!

Our only issue was wasps, my girlfriend is allergic and there were 7 that we got rid of before the guy got there to vacuum the other live ones. The staff was very nice and I would definitely recommend this place if staying in the area. We looked at a couple other places and they were down right bland. We stayed here 4 nights since we were celebrating. Parking was easy and safe. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was very clean. The price was very reasonable and we were able to cook breakfast in the morning.

It was so nicely put together and the attention to details were definitely appreciated. The cabin came with everything you may need, while keeping it clean and organized. I loved the little touches like having puzzles and kid books in the loft. The touches of making it 'bird themed' were just enough, and didn't make you feel like you were in a Hitchcock movie. While this was a kid free weekend for us, we definitely could see it being perfect for a family as well. Everything was well maintained. Communication with the staff was fantastic and we were really able to unplug and unwind. If you do get antsy and want to go shopping or exploring, Lake Lure is just a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again.
