This is coming from a true big back, cake lover, fat kid. I have been eating cakes for 30 years and this by far has been the driest, blandest, most atrocious, excuse of a cake I've ever consumed. The roaches in my apartment didn't even bother trying the cake. The cake was decorated beautifully, but does beauty matter if you're ugly on the inside? I have had better Betty Crocker cakes baked by children. I will just stick to my Chantilly cake from Wholefoods from now on.

I got cupcakes from here for my son's birthday party where we hosted a lot of friends and family. I got several different kinds and they were all delicious! Ordering online was super easy and they were ready at the promised time. They were also affordable compared to some other bakeries around. Definitely recommend if you're looking for affordable, yummy cupcakes!

found this place on tik tok and the moment you walk in, you can smell all of the delicious treats. we got the cake pops, sugar cookies and dubai chocolate skull cake everything we got was soooo good. the sugar cookies were so soft they melted in our mouths customer service was fantastic, they are so nice inside. i'll definitely be coming back

We added the donuts/cones afterwards, but they did have the option there to do that too, so next time I'd just have them add everything.

Soo happy with A Cake Occasion! We used them for my daughter's 2nd birthday party cake. I had a custom cake made. It was nice to be able to pick out all of the flavors from soo many options. We went with almost all chocolate and had a fudge layer inside - sooo good! They made the cake exactly how I expected it. It was beautiful! We received a lot of compliments on it. Service was great through the whole process and everything was perfect.

I had an amazingly cute custom cake made. It was beyond adorable. My daughter loved it as did all of our guests. It was nicely baked and I could tell the ingredients were high quality. I paid $91 but I dont know if this is considered a fair deal or not as this was the first custom cake I ever ordered. Seemed like a good deal to me. My only complaint is that their admin side needs a little work. The person who took the order and the person who answers the phone dont have a good system. I ended up explaining what the cake looked like when I called in rather than just giving a name for the order. For a split second I was concerned it didnt get made at all which was scary, and could also be a very easy fix.

Love love love this place! We got our wedding cake here and they did an exceptional job. They did exactly what we wanted and we got so many compliments. The taste of the cake is also amazing! They pay attention to the details of their cake and you can definitely tell. It's a family own business, which I love to support. They also gave us a 1 year anniversary cake for free with the same design as our wedding cake. That was super thoughtful! We get all our cakes here for all occasions!

Ignore negative reviews as they are simply based off some false entitlement. Hands down the best cakes, cupcakes, brownies around. We use them for all occasions. They are like family and truly give you great customer service. Honestly if you think grocery store cakes are good then this is not the place for you.

We were skeptical since we haven't had much luck finding a good cakery in the area - too dry, too sweet, etc. We've finally found it! With the big focus on custom cakes lately, it seems like flavor and moisture of the actual cake isn't always there. I've found design and aesthetic takes away from enjoying the cake. We got a birthday cake made here and it was delish and beautiful. We will be back for all our future bakery needs. So yummy!

This place is great!!! If you need a birthday cake or wedding cake this is your spot! I come here for cupcakes to bring to my customers. Always fresh! I ordered two cakes from this bakery and it was by far the worst experience. 1st Cake wasn't done on time and was for a photo shoot. I also requested a certain flavor and my cake didn't have the flavors I requested. My second cake was a layered cake and did not even came close to what I asked on it. You are better off buying a cake from a grocery store, will taste better as well. Don't waste your money buying from this bakery read more

I have been going to this store for about 5 years and they have never let me down. This year was no different even though I didn't get to go in and talk to them directly about what I wanted on the cake due to social distancing. This family is so nice and helpful. They are working hard to follow all the current health rules and still deliver a great product to their customers. My daughter loved her cake and so did her buddies. This place is by far the best place to order a cake. I have been buying cakes from here for 20 years now and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this place! The cake was absolutely delicious and everyone at the party kept asking where it was from. They did such an amazing job with what I wanted and worked off a picture from pinterest while customizing it to what I wanted. It's been 3 days since the party and I just had a piece of leftover cake and had to write a review. It still tasted like it was freshly baked! Called in June to inquire about a custom cake. Was told to send a photo with what kind of cake I wanted and size. Never heard back. Tried calling a few times and always got the full answering machine. Today I finally got through. Was told I should have called back after I sent the email. No one told me that when I called. The girl found my email and asked if I wanted the image printed and put on a cake. Why would I call a speciality cake company for a cake like that when I could go to king soopers? She then told me a price for a 3D cake made with Rice Krispies would be $195! I asked if the whole cake would be made out of that and I was told there would be a thin layer of cake at the bottom I want a cake not Rice Krispies. read more

I ordered my daughters first birthday cake from here. We were so excited because we were referred from the photographer who did her pictures. She raved and said how good this place was. When I picked the cake up I couldn't believe what I was given. The cake was LITTERALY falling apart! It looked nothing like what it was supposed to look like. It was the day of the party and we had guests at our house. I was in tears thinking about how this was the memory I was going to have of my daughters birthday with no cake! We got in the car and the entire top layer fell off and took the 2nd layer with it. We turned around and took it back in and they half ass tried to put it back together. Needless to say I will tell EVERYONE I know to never go here. If you want a delicious quality cake try mulberries cake shop. read more

I cannot thank the staff (especially Denay - I don't know the spelling, sorry!) enough for helping me out yesterday. A little background - I live in California and am the proud Aunt of two kids who are performing in Beauty and the Beast at their school. At the last minute (yesterday at about 1:00 Colorado time) I decided to get them a cake for a little party that was happening after the show. I called, and they were able to put together an adorable cake using one that they already had and put on edible images of Beauty and the Beast and Lumiere (my nephew is Lumiere). They also changed out pink roses to red on the already beautifully decorated cake. Well, it was a hit! And I'm told it was very tasty too! So thank you for helping me out (trust me, I took up way too much of their time) and making the party just a little more special. read more

I stopped in to get a birthday cupcake for my 12 year old dog. I had heard good things about this place and it didn't disappoint. I (of course) got myself a little something too. I love that I know all the ingredients that went into her carrot cake cupcake and that it was homemade like I usually do for my pup. They were so yummy and the staff was amazing! I had ordered a Spring Fling cake that stated it feeds 10, when I picked up the cake,, not only was it so small,, there was no way it would serve 10. Maybe 5. The cake could also be seen that through the little frosting that was there. I told it wouldn't work for me, she was so rude grabbed the cake and stormed off, not saying a word to me, I was going to purchase a ready made cake there instead, but she was so rude I didn't. read more

I had high expectations for his place, but what a huge disappointment. First off the cake didn't look exactly like what I ordered- and that was my request. I thought it was acceptable so I paid $75 and took it home. Ugh, what a mistake. This cake wasn't any good. A cake from king soopers is way better than this. The gentlemen who helped me at the cake store was very friendly and patient since I was so indecisive when I came in to decorate/create the cake I wanted for my party. He was very accommodating and listened to me attentively. If you have a vision for your cake to be a particular way, they will listen and work with you to incorporate all your ideas. When they cake was delivered to my house and served to my guests, everyone loved it. The cake looked great and it was really moist and scrumptious! We have used A Cake Occasion for several parties over the last few years now. The first was my nephew's Babtism...the cake was wonderful and decorated beautiful. Then we had a Superhero Baby Shower...that cake was beyond expectation, delicious and the decorations were exactly what we asked for. Awesome local bakery. The head cake decorator is simply amazing. They would give Cake Boss a run for his money. They can design anything you want. They can build characters, use fondant in amazing ways and their cakes are always delicious. Their cupcakes, cookies and peanut brittle (around the holidays) are awesome too. Their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them. read more

Great experience here. We were trying to finalize details for our wedding, and just wanted to get the cake thing taken care of. Didn't put much research in to it. We just wanted to find somewhere local and independent, and man, are we glad we came here. Great service, reasonable price, and easily the best cake I've ever had. And I don't like cake... Cake Occasion did a great job on my husbands retirement cake. We provided the basic idea and the cut out signs for the cake and let them take the design from there. Many compliments from guests on the cake design. But we did agree that the cake did not have the great flavor that we remember from past cake purchases at this bakery. This bakery is amazing. I was hesitant to use them at first due to some of the reviews but I have tasted there cakes through friend's birthday parties and absolutely loved them. Last year they made my daughter a pokemon cake that still gets talked about to this day. This year they topped it in my opinion with a Harry Potter birthday cake. I even threw them for a loop. Originally the cake was supposed to just lack most of the toppers (snitch, glasses, and wand) since I had ordered custom cake toppers online. Those failed to come in so I called three days before the party and they added the toppers without hesitation. Everyone at the party kept commenting on how cool it looked and I deeply regretted cutting into the cake when it was time to be served...for five seconds. The taste was amazing. Rich, moist, and best of all it didn't crumble everywhere. Everyone at the bakery was very nice and knowledgeable on how to make the cake we wanted at the best price. I did NOT pay an arm or a leg for either cake even though it looks like I would have. read more

Where do I even start. I ordered my wedding cake about 8 months in advanced. 4 days before my wedding I get a call that I couldn't have the cake flavor we picked out. She then told me they've known they wouldn't be to able to Get the flavor for months. So I asked, if you haven't been able to get the cake flavor for months why are you telling me 4 days before my wedding. At this point I don't have time to look anywhere else, which is extremely disappointing. The cherry chip flavor was extremely important to my husband and i, every member of my family has a cherry chip wedding cake, and that was the most important thing to us, but they waited until the very last second to tell me they couldn't get it, to where I had to impulsively pick something else that I didn't want. They did refund me $20, of my $160 total after I complained and talked to 3 different people including the owner. Then I get the cake on my wedding day and it's horrible. We chose the geode style cake based off a model that was in the lobby of the place. I said I want that with rose gold marbling, she even went and sprayed their rose gold on a candy flower so i could make sure it was the right color. The cake I got had HOT PINK lines all over it that resembled zebra stripes closer than marbling, and the center of the geode had NO ombré it was all dark purple rock candy crammed into the center of the cake. It looked like I had my 9 year old niece do it, it looked rushed, cheap and nothing like the model. So instead of a cherry chip, rose gold marbled cake with an ombré geode. I got a vanilla hot pink zebra striped cake with purple rock candy thrown in the middle. I won't be coming here again and I'll make sure all of my friends and family know not to as well. read more

I almost regretted getting this flavor because with each bite, the salt was getting a bit overpowering. BANANA PUDDING This was probably my preferred flavor of the two. It didn't necessarily have a strong banana flavor punching through, but it was the right amount of sweetness that I wanted in an ice cream flavor.

The staff were pretty efficient and looked to have a good system going for bussing tables. Hailing from CA, I am no stranger to good pho, and this place hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to get the regular instead of the large, because wow those portion sizes were indeed huge. My husband made the "mistake" of ordering the combination vermicelli bowl, and it came packed with tender proteins and crispy egg rolls. That just meant for some delicious leftovers (that actually reheated perfectly). The pho broth was as clear as I had imagined from looking at other patrons' photos. It still had a good depth of flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had been a long travel day for us, so I didn't want oily soup. (Sometimes I do enjoy rich, oilier pho broth, but not that night.) The pho came with a plethora of herbs, which I of course used all of. Be warned that their chili oil is very spicy, which I accidentally put too much of without first trying (oops). I generally don't go to the same spot twice during a trip, as I enjoy trying out different local businesses, but Pho 92 would have been a spot I'd return to again if we had had the time and if I had wanted pho again. Service was very friendly and helpful, asking if I wanted to bundle the two empanadas I wanted with a sauce for $10, a deal I had not noticed. I got a mushroom empanada, a BBQ chicken empanada, and a side of chimichurri. I was told it would take about 10 minutes for my order, which I appreciated for two reasons: (1) it set my expectation properly and (2) it meant the empanadas would be freshly baked. My empanadas were ready on time and were excellent. They were crispier than other baked empanadas I've had and had great fillings. The chimichurri was one of the best I've had, packed with herbs and the right amount of acidity. I thought the size of the empanadas was reasonable, with two being enough for the light meal I wanted. There were different staff there the second time I visited, and the empanadas weren't cooked as well. The bottoms were a little soggy. The atmosphere is spare but clean, with seating only at counters at the windows. But they also had a nice outdoor patio and a water dispenser inside, which are nice features.

If I could I would rate this a bad place for business. We have been customers for a few years now and this last visit is our last. Their cake have always been a hit or miss by that I mean too dry they are never ready in time and we would have to wait. This last cake we ordered was great until this past weekend. I received a call from a staff member about returning some plastic parts from a princess cake they made for us Jan 26th. When we ordered the cake they did ask for a deposit we were told it was because of they type of cake not at any moment did she say we need to bring the parts back. So when this staff member called me she had a attitude and decided to say I was not a respectable person and so on. She then got the owner on the phone and she was extremely rude and was pretty much saying that they were going to charge me for the parts that I thought belonged to the cake because her staff did not inform us we needed to take it back. She also said she did not believe me but she had to say the customer was right even if she did not think so she had more things to say that made me realize she probably should NOT have a bakery and her customer service sucks to say the lease. So 1st I would never buy a cake with rented items that makes me think that is not very clean. 2nd for the OWNER to yell and me and tell me maybe I should buy my cake from a Wal-Mart is rude and they have lost a costumer. I will never refer a person to this place because they clearly do not know how to run a business and inform customers of "rented" items. read more

I was referred by a wedding venue to try this company, so I set up a scheduled cake tasting. When my fiancé and I arrived, they were extremely busy - which impressed us. We looked at their books for about 5 minutes and then were told to sit at the table and our samples would be out in just a moment. When the samples arrived, they forgot the forks - 20 minutes later, she finally brought them out to us. No body ever sat down with us to discuss what we wanted, pricing, etc. We were left guessing what cake/fillings were what and it was just all very informal and rushed. I understand being busy, but what is the point of scheduling an appointment if you don't have someone available to focus on the appointment?! While I was looking at options at A Cake Occasion, the owner walked in and was carrying several King Soopers bags filled with Betty Crocker cake mixes..... what a disappointment. I left immediately.
