All great Chinese food reminds me of the place I used to go to when I lived in Washington state very authentic little bit hot on the temperature but I guess when you take it home you'll still be at a good temperature to eat so I should just let it cool down a little bit that's about it. I've always struggled to find good Chinese takeout until now. This spot which is now close to home for us, is an absolute must. They cover all the essentials and I love that you can select small or large sized entrees. The small is perfect for me but if my husband and I were sharing we would get the large. We've always found service to be quick with just a quick phone call in and then pick up is efficient too. We will be back! read more

Look no more, this is your Chinese take out place. Finding good Chinese takeout can be very difficult when you're not in a big city. This place hit the marks for us. Clean, (you can see the kitchen), food is very fresh, generous portions and nice sized pieces of meat. Hubby had the sweet and sour chicken ; the batter coating was very light so you clearly had a nice chunk of chicken with a little batter coating. I had pork egg foo young, again nice sized pieces of pork and not too many onions - just right. My egg roll had tons of veggies compared to the amount of wrap and was lightly fried. I've eaten here dozens and dozens of times since they started. The menu is small and doesn't have 200 dishes on it. You know how a restaurant with 200 items on the menu keeps such a wide variety of foodstuffs fresh? They don't, so I respect A Chinese Takeout for their simpler and purer approach as you will not experience freezer burned or weird smelling scallops or any dicey less-mainstream item here. Their food is fantastic, and I enjoy the vibe from the employees as it's the same folks since they started, and they're proud to be doing this as well as it can be done. You will not face a disinterested new hire who leaves the eggrolls out of your bag because every order is right every time. Simple, good food. All the standard dishes are covered, and most are very good. They take covid-19 seriously as well. Potstickers, fried cheese dumplings, wonton soup, fried rice, lo mein, chicken wings are all good. The two gals who take the orders are very good as well. Having been here quite a few times and am finally motivated enough by the great food to write a review. I often visit in the area for business trips and there aren't many restaurant choices around. For the times I've gone they are always fast, kitchen seems very clean, foods are very good quality and portion with unbeatable prices. Wish there were more places like this in NJ...recommend! Ps. It was the broccoli and beef that really impressed me today--the broccolis were actually green and fresh and beef tasted like real beef...if you know what i mean. read more

Sort of new Chinese place that opened up right down the road from us. We've been a few times and they are sooo friendly! Once we went in and were ordering our usuals (minus what my dad gets because he wasn't home) and the lady asked "Did you still want the beef fried rice no vegetables?" I only order general Tso's chicken and crab rangoon wontons when I go to Chinese restaurants. So I can't comment on anything on the menu but those two things. I can say A Chinese Take Out has really good general Tso's chicken and crab rangoon wontons. They might be the best in the area. The wontons they serve I have had at other restaurants and are my favorite kind. I have not found any other Chinese restaurants in the Milford area that have this specific type of wonton. I will be going back for more soon. read more

Five stars is for the value. We tried several different dishes and enjoyed them all. Our favorites were the hunan chicken, Singapore noodles and yellow curry. The bourbon chicken was as expected, executed well but just not our best pick. Singapore noodle is a curry thin rice noodle and is large portion for $7.95. The small size alone is fine for an entree for one person at $5.95. We spent about $33 and had enough food for four people. We will definitely be getting take out from here on a regular basis. They have the standard dishes but better quality than many primarily take out Chinese restaurants. read more

Tried this place for the first time last night and it was amazing. The wonton soup was one of the best I've ever had. The sesame chicken and chicken and broccoli were also very good. Best Chinese place in goshen! I had the honey chicken and my mom had the chicken lo mein, and I was just amazing! We also got a free can of soda because of the "happy hour". I really really enjoyed my food, and the restaurant was absolutely spotless! The employees were so nice and even offered us a bag for our leftovers even though they didn't have to at all! Decided to check Yelp before placing an order with the usual local Chinese take-out. Was surprised with all the great reviews and decided to give it a try. The pork fried rice was hands down better than most. The amount of pork in the fried rice was crazy. Liked that they only add onion and eggs. Not a fan of peas and carrots in my rice. The Hot & Sour soup was good but a bit on the too sour side. Plenty of goodies in the soup though. On a whim I also ordered the donuts. Pretty tasty. We will be back to try other menu items.
