I was totally shocked when my order was delivered. The price I paid was ridiculous for what I got. I ordered shrimp with mixed vegetable. It said it was a combo so not exactly sure what it's a combination of. I'm used to ordering my food and you get the one container full of the main item and your rice or noodles are on the side. I paid $16.75 for this and it was half the container of noodles and half the container of the main dish. I also paid $14.05 for shrimp fried rice and all it was is brown rice with small shrimp nothing else, no vegetables or anything. You actually get charged for your fortune cookies. The most basic of all Chinese carryouts. Barely get what you pay for and pretty low quality. Most of my order was rice. The lady who took my order was very unfriendly and scolded me for not clarifying lunch or dinner portion. Never said thankyou, and seem mad I was there. The entire counter is fully plexiglassed in. after our "criminal" spree, my friend and i were hungry after fleeing the scene at a tricky situation. don't worry we were already charged and punished so it's a done deal. but regardless, entering New Asian we were off put by the various security unplaced by the staff. as criminals, we quite honestly didn't fuck with this. we weren't tryna do a three for one. two crimes were enough for that afternoon. our bad. i ordered rice and sweet and sour sauce while my friended order two egg rolls. a simple and reasonably quick process. wrong, took them a minimum of 15-20 to prepare and serve our food. but there was a friendly man who waiting with us to help ease our nerves. the food itself was good but not a feat bc it was pretty rudimentary. can't really mess up rice or premade egg rolls. pricing was fine -- not to much to add here. overall good meal unsettling experience. would come again tho. read more

My fiancé and I were staying in town for work and had been craving Asian food for a few days. It was a Sunday so our options were limited, but I'm so glad it worked out that way because New Asian did not disappoint! We ordered the hot and sour soup and the garlic wings after reading a prior review and they were both excellent. We also ordered the house mei fun,which could've been a lil spicier as requested, but was fresh and a generous portion. The steak and shrimp hibachi was delicious as well- the shrimp were huge and the yum yum sauce was great. Would definitely recommend this establishment, give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up read more

Terrible. This place used to be ok but I think it's under different ownership. They are absolutely the rudest people I have ever seen. The food is pretty good but the prices are double what they used to be and apparently you have to pay extra for sauces. I asked for hot oil and the guy said it was an additional dollar, you don't even get a fortune cookie that all Chinese restaurants give out. No soy sauce, duck sauce or hot mustard, I'm not kidding nothing. I have never ever been charged for hot oil before. I highly suggest that if you want Chinese to go to Shanghai bistro on Wards Corner road. Not only is the food better it is cooked fresh for about the same price and has nice clean dining room to sit at and enjoy your meal. I have ordered from here a few times. I'm pretty consistent with ordering the same dish, and it's been cooked well every time. It's a good spot for a quick fix! Food is always ready in the amount of time they say over the phone so I'm never waiting when I arrive to pick up. Not really a spot I would choose to eat inside, definitely a pick up only feeling. I literally never left write reviews. But I just called to place a pickup order and the lady on the phone was hard to understand. I was trying to be patient and made it very clear what I wanted but she kept yelling at me and when I said I was sorry and couldn't understand what she said, she said ok bye. Smh. We have ordered takeout several times and it has always been so good. Sometimes food is not ready by pick up time but it is always fresh and there are generally only 2 people working and they get decent business. There serving sizes are great.
