Cincinnati has a handful of high quality Chinese restaurants . today I'm trying Asian Paradise. I located in Loveland at the corner of Fields Ertel & Montgomery Road. The dining area is very pleasant. Soft jazz playing and a large tree in the dining area creates a peaceful atmosphere. The place is very clean. I chose the Broccoli with brown sauce w/ beef. A generous potion of wonton soup. Steaming hot and delicious started my lunch. Service was great as was the meal. Tender beef with broccoli and carrots perfectly seasoned with hints of fresh ginger authentic flavors. They also have freshly made sushi. read more

The Miso Soup, Sushi, Dumplings and most of the mains were very delicious! The only problem was the Pad Thai as it was not anything like we have had at other restaurants. Stick with any other option and you will enjoy this little gem North of Cincinnati. We will be back again for sure for more fresh made Sushi! read more

Christmas Eve dinner at Asian Paradise. The reservation allowed us to get seated in less than 5 minutes (last year it was 45 minutes). My daughter, wive and I ordered soup. The Egg Drop, Wonton, and Hot & Sour soup was top notch. I give it high marks. Our waitress came back regularly to check on us. I had the Chrissy Red Snapper. It was good (above average). My wife enjoyed the crab cakes. My daughter had the Paradise Special. We had a great booth. Much better than last year's chaos. read more

We came here tonight with some friends, we were stopping through on a road trip. All of the food was very good - my husband and I shared the peanut avocado sushi, which was very unique (peanuts and avocado in it), and the Mongolian beef. Our friends had other types of sushi, and we all split the gyoza and chicken lettuce wraps. The gyoza came with a dipping sauce that was tasty, too. Waitservice was quick and friendly. I did think prices were a little high (ie, our Mongolian beef was $25) but I'm not sure if that's typical for the area or not. We came here while staying at great wolf lodge and our experience was top notch. We came in around lunch time and was not busy. We ordered sashimi and friend rice lunch specials. Our favorite sushi and amazing service. We stop in here at least three times a month and have had nothing but the best experience. I was working my way through the menu (and loving everything I tried) but we now mostly get the sushi and the sashimi. The fish is fresh and perfectly prepared. And the wasabi is the best I've had! My wife and I joined friends for dinner at Asian Paradise. It was a Tuesday, and the place was quiet. The service was terrific, and the food was even better. This is not our first visit. Asian Paradise is our go-to restaurant whenever we want a taste of the Far East. Meal prices are reasonable for what you get. My wife ordered the Crispy Walnut Shrimp and Chicken dish, and I ordered Chicken Pad Thai level 3. My wife always gets two meals from her entree. While we didn't have it this time, the Grilled Sesame sesame-crusted salmon, Vietnamese Basil Beef, Crispy Peking Duck, and General Tso's Chicken are can't-miss choices. Stopped for a quick dinner after looking at the menu online. We each ordered soup, egg drop (not pictured) and hot & sour, yum! For the main dish we split the pineapple fried rice, it was a generous portion and delicious! The server was friendly and prompt, ambiance was nice, no wait at the time we visited (roughly 7pm). Seven of our family enjoyed Asian Paradise last night. We had a nice big table in a secluded area with a wonderful server. The before dinner drinks were good and prompt as was the dinners. I had the Sambal delight which had shrimp, scallops, and chicken over a bed of special vegetables with brown rice on the side. I would recommend if you like sea food. read more

The food here is always mediocre at best and grossly overpriced. We have been here a few times since the spring because my kids love their sushi. I am not a huge sushi guy so always get something else. Lettuce wraps and crab rangoons are pretty damn good but the typical Americanized Chinese dishes like General Tsos, and Fried rice are always mushy and flavorless. They always overcook the rice to the point where you can't discern the grains by the time the dish arrives to the table. The server we have had the last couple of times Keith has the personality of a cardboard box. Never a smile or something kind to say or that would increase his tip share and you always need to chase him down to get refills. I asked for some soy sauce when the entrees arrived to which I was told yes and he never returned. I waited patiently for a few minutes, saw the guy make a few passes then finally went to the sushi bar to ask for a soy dispenser and those two guys said ask a server, I told them I did but was ignored and they both shrugged their shoulders so I walked into the kitchen and grabbed another server who was walking out and she was kind enough to help. The sushi for my kids didn't come out until about 20 minutes after my wife and I got our entree. Not super annoying, they were busy, but I probably would've tried to space the orders closer. We recently ate here with a group. The restaurant itself is spacious, and the tree in the middle of the dining room is a whimsical touch. Pros: the sesame chicken was very popular; you can get white or brown rice for no extra charge; a decent side salad or one of three soups comes with your lunch entree; the spicy mango dish includes lots of large chunks of mango; the kitchen is responsive if there's something something wrong with your food. Cons: the black tea isn't very strong (green was okay); the Mongolian beef can either be great or oily and underseasoned; you have to ask to increase the spiciness of your dish and to get chopsticks (basic parts of service at other Asian establishments); your food may not be hot if it waits to be served in a group; and the day we were there, there weren't enough wait staff for the number of patrons. In sum, despite these annoyances, the group was generally well pleased with the experience. Convenient local Thai and sushi spot with something for everyone. We stopped here because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. Though there was nothing about this restaurant that stood out it was a pleasant experience, food came out quickly and wide variety of Thai, Japanese, Fusion, and Sushi dishes. We got gyoza and Thai crab cakes to start, with a few sushi rolls and pad Thai for dinner. Apps were fantastic. Gyoza was crispy on the outside and the Thai crab cakes were a unique blend of spices with thick pieces of crab. I would order these again. Rolls were the Paradise roll, Pink Lady, and Salmon lover. I don't normally order cooked rolls or ones with cream cheese but really liked the Paradise roll which is chicken and cream cheese, and though I don't think it's really sushi I really liked it. The sushi was awesome. We ordered an appetizer of Gyoza. They had a good flavor and had been pan fried to give it a crispy crust on one side. We each ordered the lunch special of 3 Sushi Rolls. This also comes with a choice of soup. We both ordered the Wonton soup with the rolls. The soup was delicious! More flavorful than most wonton soups I've had and the dumplings in the soup were also big in addition to having great flavor. We both really enjoyed our rolls. There was more fish in them than some other places and it wasn't all chopped fish. All of it tasted great! Fresh and prepared well. There was also a few more pieces per roll than we expected for lunch specials. We'd likely skip the appetizer next time and maybe get the 2 roll lunch special instead because it was too much food. I've been meaning to check this place out for a while and it was just kind of disappointing. I got the sesame chicken for takeout and it just simply wasn't good. The chicken was super over cooked so it was really dry in the middle even though it had a ton of sauce. The sauce also tasted kind of off - I don't know what it was but it did not taste right to me. Maybe this was simply an ordering issue or the chicken got overcooked in the takeout container, but I won't be ordering that again and will probably opt for my tried and true places over this. I will say that this place is more known for sushi from what I understand, and the interior of it is really beautiful. May be worth checking out if you're a sushi person, but wouldn't recommend it for a chicken dish. read more

We've driven by this place but never stopped mainly due to its location in a strip mall. We were very pleasantly surprised by our visit. I give this place a 4-star rating for the following reasons. Food - 4.5 Stars - We had the Gyoza, Lettuce Wraps, Mongolian Beef, and Mango Shrimp. The entrees were excellent. I thought the Mongolian Beef was on point and not overloaded with "fillers." My wife really liked the Grilled Mango Shrimp. The lettuce wrap filling was excellent, and the wraps were fresh. The dish would benefit from a more elaborate sauce than the accompanying soy sauce. The Gyoza was good, but pretty much the same as lots of other places. Ambiance - 3.5 Stars - The tree was an interesting note right when we walked in. It felt a little Rainforest Cafe, but it was kinda cool. The sushi bar area seemed nice, and the overall layout of the place was nice. Service - 4.5 Stars - Our server did a great job. She understood the importance of pacing the delivery of food to the table. She was present, and friendly, but didn't loiter. Value - 4 Stars - With a bottle of wine (half-price) and a 20% gratuity, we got out for $100. Pretty good. I look forward to going back and trying the Sushi. read more

I tend to stay away from Asian restaurants due to multiple food allergies and language barriers (fear of getting glutened and suffering for days) My work wanted to order lunch for pick up from here, so I went into the restaurant to place a very large order. I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable the hostess was regarding food allergies/ Celiac Disease, and was very helpful when I placed order. Food was delicious and all enjoyed it! The name connotes a "happy ending" kind of situation, but... this place is, hands down, the best sushi in Ohio... and Kentucky, from what I have experienced. I know, I know - eating sushi in the Midwest is ill-advised, right?!?! Kind of like ordering a slushee in Tijuana... or a hamburger in India... But, this stuff is goooood. I order the Chef's Special sashimi for lunch at least twice per week, and it never disappoints. Their white tuna and salmon are always super fresh and buttery. The lunch specials come with soup or salad, and I enjoy their wonton soup with the bowl of fried, crispy wontons. Also delicious are their sushi rolls, stir fry dishes, gyoza, and Spicy Kani salad. The mango salad with shrimp is a nice, light, beautiful dish for more health-conscious eaters. I'm not a huge fan of their curries; they're not made in a traditional way and are a bit off on color and taste, in my opinion; but I've heard others find them tasty. There's only one server I find to be rude, but he hasn't waited on me for months, and he still says hello when he sees me, so I don't let it bother me too much. The woman who is always at the front, seating people and waiting on tables, works extra hard to ensure everyone is happy in the restaurant. When she's not there (which isn't often), the difference is obvious. Still, I enjoy coming here very much. The staff is friendly and I've only ever had to wait a couple of minutes for my food to brought out. Owner is wonderful and walks around to check on patrons. Restaurant is always clean. I usually get the 3 sushi roll lunch special (select items ie. California, Spicy Tuna, vegetable, Yellowtale, etc.) and it comes with a salad. Standard salad is miso dressing which is pretty good, but I love their ginger dressing. $0.50 for eel sauce on the side, not bad. A lot of places charge $1.00 nowadays. Went for a solo dinner this time. Got a margarita off the Happy Hour menu and it was surprisingly good! Will order the next time I go for dinner. Had the rice vermicelli with scallops. I added peanuts and some hot oil on the side and it was delicious. Had to add some soy sauce as there wasn't a real "sauce" on it. But it was fresh and hot (temp). This is one of my favorite places and the service is always good. I visit at least once a week when I work in the office. They are closed on Mondays so that sucks. Went in for Chicken Pad Thai - ordered two. Was served a reddish orange colored dish that had a sour smell. My husbands came wrong so it was remade. Both were made with thin vermicelli noodles as well. We tried but could not eat our meals. Our daughter got grilled chicken that was very dry so she ate the veggies served with it and white rice. Dropped in yesterday on Christmas w no reso and a group of nine. They quickly accommodated us, changed the channel so we could keep an eye on the football game, and thus began a very good meal. Service was outstanding. Our waiter and the expediter were on top of everything. Drinks were refilled quickly and as needed and the food was very, very good. I particularly recommend the red snapper (whole but entirely de-boned) which was lightly flash fried in a lovely jalapeño vinaigrette w mango, pineapple and broccoli. I'm conflicted whether I wanted to give this a 2 or 3 Stars. I really wanted to like this place, especially after reading all the good reviews. BUT...our dining experience was ruined after we saw our waitress who I believe is probably the owner, made rude comments to her employee. She called him "dummy", "mucho loco" and told him to "open your eyes!" This all happened right in front of us. Talk about awkward. Throughout our whole time there she continuously complained about how tired she was to other workers. Definitely ruined our dining experience and our mood; we ended up taking our food to-go after a few bites. At least our waitress was nice to us. She checked up on us a few times, was very friendly, and offered to help pack our to-go food. Not sure why she gave us a small kiddie cup for our drink to-go. That's a first. I am pretty sure they have bigger cups... As for the food, it was okay. The soups came in a cute pot with crunchy noodles on the side. My bf enjoyed the egg drop soup but his fried rice (no pineapple) was too salty. He described it as "I can feel the salt grains as I chew" lol Is it just me or does the water have a chlorine taste? Let me start off by saying the food was cool. Our service, not so much. While our server was nice...he failed to check on our table. We had to flag him down for refills on waters, and our bill. Every time we'd look up he'd be on the phone or talking at the host stand. Then we happen to leave our card and came back to get it..he threw it away intentionally. My friend and I were in the Fields Ertel area and were craving some Asian food. The restaurant was crowded however the wait was only 15 minutes. I ordered some sushi and my friend ordered the Pad Thai. My sushi was fresh and tasted very good. I would say above average for most sushi restaurants I have been to. My friend said the Pad Thai was good but he would try something else if we came back . The service was great. The only real negative was the cost. This restaurant is well above average as far as prices compared to similar restaurants. That would be the only reason if I did not return. read more
