Tried Dragon City for the first time last week. Got excellent take-out. The General Tso chicken was loaded with meat, light on breading, nice spicy tang. The broccoli with it was a tad underdone but very fresh-tasting. The shrimp and lobster sauce was delicious - big shrimp and lots of them. The remove the tails, which is a nice touch. I use a walker and was grateful when the lady who took my order helped me get the food to my car. Definitely will be back. read more

This place is very small. The kitchen, which is wide open, is actually bigger than the tiny seating area! It must survive on take out because dining inside is not very inviting. I went for lunch and had their hot and sour soup (which comes with lunch) and Schezwan shrimp. The soup was ok but I've had better. It had a touch of heat but not enough vinegar for the sour flavor. The shrimp was a generous portion of 4 jumbo shrimp, a lot of veggies and a big serving of either steamed or fried rice. I couldn't finish it all. The price was $9.90 for eat in. Beverages were very limited. The quantity of food served was more than ample but the quality was barely adequate. The shrimp dish was marked as spicy on the menu but had zero heat and was otherwise quite bland. On top of that, even though I was eating in, my food was served to me in styrofoam takeout containers with a cheap plastic fork. It was my first visit and my last. The dining room was dirty in all the wrong ways. Everything was sticky, chairs were broken or torn, bokes piled up all over, and dust on top of a lot of the stickiness. Just really unappetizing and it was very hot and humid on top of that. It reminded me of eating from street vendors in third world countries where the food was good but you kept your eyes closed. This is a great restaurant! I was very nicely greeted as I entered the restaurant. I ordered a large Vegetable Lo Mein. The vegetables in the Lo Mein include shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, bamboo shoots & broccoli. The Lo Mein noodles have a great texture & flavor but I personally think it could use more flavor. HORRIBLE! BEWARE! Have ordered the same meal 3-4 times a month for the last year, the mongolian beef (no veggies). Tonight I order again, but this time I guess the cook went crazy with the peppers bc it's 3x spicier. I like some heat (which is why I have ordered) but my mouth was on fire from the 1st bite. After 2nd, I had to quit. My husband, who orders atomic wings which you have to sign a waiver to eat, tried a bite and agreed it had way more kick than usual. Called Dragon City to explain the situation and the woman was argumentative from the start. After a few mins, I finally said "Ma'am I can't eat this" To which she responded rudely "What do you want me to do about it". I bit my tongue, then asked her for a remake. Again, her first concern was not customer service, as she responded with her own question "Will you bring the other back to the store?" Only after telling her that it was No Problem for me to bring the original order back did she reluctantly agree to remake the food. You would think that solved the issue, right? NO, it didn't. Bc then the lady starts in on me AGAIN, with asking "well how do you want this cooked? Less spicy than normal, right? Bc how you got it is how we cook, always cook, so you want it low spice right? Or no spice? You know, you ordered without vegetables, that's probably why it seemed more spicy.." After all the CONTINUED arguing & rudeness, I finally lost my temper with her and stated that I have ALWAYS ordered the Mongolian beef w/No vegetables, again for the last year, and that was NOT the issue. I have been going here for 10 years. Tonight I was appalled at what happened. I called in my order, paid over the phone and followed the instructions they gave me to pickup. I drove into the lot and called back and gave my order number. They proceed to ask me what I ordered and began yelling in Mandarin at each other then hang up. I give it a second, then call back and ask for my order again. Someone says they messed up the order and are making it now, it will be 10minutes. I had already waited 20. I hang up and watch a car pull into the lot, take a bag of food out of the car with my order number on it, then he returns it to the woman inside. She sets it on the out door chair and points to it. I ask of they expect me to eat the food that was returned. They explain he wasn't gone long so it should fine. During Covid... I ask for a refund, then they begrudgingly agreed to make new food. Again. They wouldn't give me the refund I asked for, they were upset to make new food and rude handing it out. 10year patron, and I will not be back again. read more

I must say, I have eaten Chinese food all my life. I am 74 yrs old by the way, so you can imagine how much I have eaten over the years. My wife and I just ordered take out from the Dragon City location on Tylersville Rd. I ordered the Seafood Delight. It was by far, the BEST I have ever eaten! Dragon City is delicious! They have some of the best egg drop soup around! It has always been hot, fresh, and flavorful. I have also tried their beef teriyaki appetizer and it is also delicious! My husband is more adventurous than me and has always seemed to enjoy his food as well. Their prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. The young man who is generally working there has always been friendly. He is personable and seems to care about his customers. He even complimented my husband's clothes once. It was awkwardly awesome! The space is small with just a couple tables. I have never dined in the restaurant itself as we usually opt for carryout. We live right up the road and this is our go-to takeout restaurant. Their hours are convenient and help satisfy my late night egg drop soup cravings. I have eaten at most, if not all, of the Chinese restaurants in this area and this is by far my favorite. I have been eating here for years and the quality has remained the same. They are fast, courteous and my order is always complete in about ten minutes - the time it takes me to drive there after I order. The portions are huge, which is great, because I get another meal out of it. My kids also like to take it for lunch the next day. We can do both. Their shrimp egg rolls are very good. The wonton soup is also great. Get a large - it is cheap and heats up well the next day. We also like the House Fried Rice and broccoli chicken. However my chicken has hard bits of what I can presume was bone in it which caused me to throw it up. My fried rice was also super burnt and tasted like charcoal. Where else does a hungry yet highly unmotivated to get dressed-and-ready girl head on a Saturday night but the local Chinese take-out? I'm normally not a fan of cheap Chinese but it sounded appetizing and Dragon seemed to call my name. We walked in around 9:30pm and were able to order and walk out with piping hot food within a few minutes. I got the Moo Goo Gai Pan and was disappointed in the small amount of water chestnuts that I found in the carton (they're my favorite part!). My boyfriend had the Sweet and Sour Chicken combination. The combo meal was less than $9 and included a good portion of chicken, a cup's worth of fried rice, a small side of white rice (why both, I don't know) and a tasty egg-roll. He was pleased with the taste and scarfed everything down before I'd even finished half of mine! Dragon allows diners to choose either a small or regular portion of almost everything on the menu, I feature I liked. My small Moo Goo was only $4 and the perfect size. My husband and I ate there several times, we would order, run in pick it up and go. The food was decent, not great but not too bad either. That is until one day we decided while driving home to stop in. I walked in, ordered and this is where is all went down hill. I had to sit and wait for the food... and then go to the restroom. I was in utter shock of this place. IT IS FILTHY!!! The bathrooms look worse than any truck stop bathroom I have ever been in. Everything was Dirty, wallpaper peeling off the walls, papers just taped to the walls. The lobby/dining room area wasn't much better. The floors don't look like they have been cleaned in years. I couldn't tell how the kitchen was but if the rest looks this bad, I can't imagine the kitchen is much better. I only have been here once but I was very pleased with my visit. Our wait time was quite long but we came in right during what I suppose was their Saturday night dinner rush because a TON of people came in at the same time we did. Once we were seated though it was all good. The food was all very fresh and tasty. The variety was wonderful and everything seemed very clean. It's honestly the best chinese buffet I've ever been to. We just moved to West Chester and ordered carry out from Dragon City because it was so close. We were so happy with all of our meals. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. Two people can easily share one dinner. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and it was great, as was the MooShu Chicken, Chicken Chow Mee Fun and the Cashew Chicken. The Cashew Chicken has tons of cashews and chicken in it. Their vegetables are hand cut and very fresh. We all loved the Chicken Chow Mee Fun. It is mild but really good. Kind of like fried rice. My husband and I have eaten at numerous Chinese takeout restaurants in Cincinnati and this one was by far the best-by leaps and bounds! We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees and the total came out to $25. The amount of food that was served was enough for 4 people, and that's saying a lot because we can eat quite a bit. This is just down the road from us and our "go to" takeout source for years. Chicken Wing appetizers, though thoroughly American style, are delicious and always crispy. The Combo plates are so huge we get 2 meals out of them. Sweet and Sour Chicken and General Tsao Chicken are our favorites. I moved to West Chester last year and have tried several local chinese restaurants in a search for chinese as good as where I came from....Dragon City is the best! And as a bonus, it is priced lower than the others and will keep me coming back on a regular basis. My kids love the Sweet and Sour chicken as well as the sesame chicken.
