If you love Christmas, you can't pass this place up. Located right in the middle of the village on Pine Knot, this place is simply amazing. They seem all manor of Christmas decorations and my wife was able to pick up a few Department 56 North Pole series prices to add to our collection. We just made the trip yesterday and picked up 4 Nightmare Before Christmas pieces as well. It was hot yesterday but still felt like Christmas as soon as we walked in. We're been helped by two different ladies during our visits. They are always friendly, helpful, and caring. They check each piece before packing it carefully for sale. This store makes me happy just by walking thru the door! read more

I love Christmas stores. I think every tourist destination should have one! Obviously I'm biased since I collect Christmas ornaments as souvenirs instead of shot glasses, spoons or magnets. CHRISTMAS STORE N MORE has a great collection of ornaments and, more importantly, BIG BEAR ornaments! Even though it is the middle of summer, there are several displays showcasing various Christmas designs/themes. I was so surprised to see all the good reviews because our experience was not. If Christmas can be depressing, this is the place to be. When my husband and I walked in we were the only ones in the store. The sales lady did not greet us, it was completely silent (no Christmas music in a Christmas store in December?!!!). Not impressed by the basic, cheap looking ornaments, was hoping to find something more unique. Many of the trees used to display the ornaments had seen better days and not much thought was put into decorating them. It felt sad and depressing. read more

The woman at the counter was extremely rude and doubted that I just purchased my items 10 minutes before. She bagged up 2 $10 ornaments and a $35 pine tree item. I spent $59. My husband took a squishy ornament out of the wrapping to hand to my son and showed me that the top of the ornament was flapping. I ran in for a quick exchange and showed her the ornament and she mentioned that she "ALWAYS TAKES OFF THE TAGS" like that wasn't the one she just sold me. She asked if the other also had the tag. I walked outside and grabbed it and walked right in and showed her that she didn't take off the tag either. If I was going to steal a $10 squishy donut ornament, I wouldn't have brought it back for an exchange. I got cute pine trees as a memory of Big Bear and I sure hope this isn't a constant reminder of the terrible customer service. read more

My parents and I are long time Big Bear vacationers so we don't frequent Pine Knot and Village Drive as much as we used to. Luckily though we drove through this last trip ...we were intrigued by the store's name and dropped in. This shop reminds me of one of the long gone unique stores this Main area was once known for! My mother and I had a wonderful experience. The store owner was delightful and had a wonderful collection of holiday decor for all seasons. It's nice to see Jim Shore pieces in person and I couldn't resist picking up a few beautiful Halloween and summer pieces. We will definitely return during Future trips to Big Bear! read more

This used to be my favorite spot to shop abs but all my Xmas ornaments and little gifts each year I visit Big Bear. I just came in and the women with long blonde straggly hair behind the counter was coughing all over and NOT wearing a mask. I asked her if she had a mask or could wear one and she said "NO." DO NOT SHOP HERE UNTIL THEY FOLLOW CDC GUIDELINES... P. S - Fire that rude women .. you just lost a large sale. read more

I wasn't even aware what Steinbach ornaments were until I walked into the sweetest little Christmas store I've ever seen. How could you not fall in love with these ornaments?! I didn't initially invest in them, but kept thinking about them all the way home. Called the shop and lucky me the owner Shannon was willing to ship them to me. She even had a special one in her own collection she was willing to part with for me. How could I not have Little Red Ridinghood with the Wolf?! I will definitely be ordering future pieces from Shannon! If you are in the area stop in and fall in love with this wonderland and the sweetest owners. read more

Very rude staff. We were stared at and followed around. We were deciding between two ornaments with our children and the old rude lady walked up and asked if we were going to buy or not. In this economy and around the holidays I am appalled by their behavior. read more

I walked around the village to look for my angel. I always get an angel for myself wherever I go. So, I stumbled on Shannon's shop, (she is a very lovely shop host!) She is the store owner. The owner was so kind and helpful. We bought a gorgeous Snoopy Nativity scene for my MIL that we know she'll love. All the ornaments and gifts were unique and different from anything else we saw in other shops as well. Also snagged an adorable ornament for the tree, it's never too early to prep for Christmas in our house. Will definitely come back next time!! read more

This store is so beautiful and cute it's almost overwhelming! I love the feeling of Christmas any month of the year and you will definitely find that here. I was here with my best friend Marge Gunderson. She was visiting from North Dakota. We couldn't believe that Big Bear had a year round Christmas shop! Geez, we were flabbergasted. We were lucky enough to meet Shannon the owner. She was a real hoot! She was a veritable cornucopia of information regarding Christmas supplies. We bought some beautiful decorations. Maybe I just came on an off day because the reviews seem pretty positive. I have a huge thing for Christmas. I decorate early November and have hundreds of ornaments, so I was very excited to see this store. Lots of cool Christmas stuff. Some I've seen elsewhere for about the same price or lower when on sale, nothing exciting. The thing that really annoyed me was the cashier (possibly owner). She followed us around like we were going to steal. She didn't ask if we needed help, just followed us not saying anything and rudely staring. I found a wall sign I wanted to buy for my son's teacher and asked her to hold it. That seemed to satisfy her and she went back behind the counter. I go to pay and my bill was nearly $40 (extremely overpriced for a printed pressboard sign, btw but it was something my son wanted to get her). I paid cash. She had the audacity to complain that my quarter was dented. Like honestly? Take the quarter and be happy I'm buying anything. Very rude lady. Won't be back again. There's so many NICE shop owners in the village. Not worth the drama for stuff I can pretty much buy anywhere. read more
