I have been going to this nail shop for at least three years…read more I was disappointed when I went in recently to get the nail acrylic removed they placed to let my nails breathe. Before she started she asked if " I was ready for pain" I didn't think anything adverse because they are usually professional and pay attention to detail. Sad to say a part of my nail was taken off during the removal process to let my nails breathe... I bled profusely and it still hurts. The action was careless and unnecessary. I am taking care of the nail very carefully to make sure I don't get an infection and to ensure my nail grows back properly. I keep wondering in the back of my mind was the act purposeful against me personally until I read another review. This experience was disheartening because I liked this place. I normally see an older lady with glasses who does a good job. She really cut and clean your cuticles and takes her time. today I saw a different tech. Didn't get her name but she normally sits in the front, always dressed up and handle the register. she did such a horrible job. She didn't cut my cuticles but said she did. I told her I like them short and she barely cut them. Didn't file my nails. They are all crooked and chipped looking. The service was rushed. Not sure why when there was only one other customer and 2 other techs sitting around. I paid for deluxe pedi for $62 to get crappy service.

Then they started the service and the water was cold and the lady doing my pedicure was speaking in her language loud the ENTIRE time. This made the entire experience awful. In addition to the whole service being subpar, the lady was using dirty tools on my feet. She grabbed what looked like a kindergarteners pencil Box and it was labeled "soiled " she then started using the tools on me and I finally said something. She gave me attitude and I ended up leaving. I will be reporting them to the health department/ it's only A matter of time until this filthy establishment gets shut down. I would highly discourage anyone from Going here

I've been coming to The Nail Spot for six years, and I absolutely love my nail tech. The ladies here have always been warm, friendly, and welcoming, and they've kept me coming back year after year. Unfortunately, my visit on Wednesday, July 15, around 3:30 p.m. was very upsetting. When I walked in, there was only one other customer in the salon getting a pedicure. The owner was loudly yelling at the staff. It wasn't just raising his voice--it was shouting. It created an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone, including the other customer and, most importantly, the employees. My nail tech was visibly shaken. I quietly asked her what had happened, and she explained that he was upset because customers were texting their nail techs directly to make appointments instead of calling the salon. I've scheduled my appointments this way for the past six years because it's always been convenient and has never been an issue. He told them if they don't like his rules, they are welcome to leave! The owner eventually stormed out and sat on a chair outside the salon. A short time later, he came back in, slammed his drink on the counter, walked to the back, and began yelling at the staff again. Before I left, I told him that he shouldn't be yelling at his employees. He responded by saying he'd told them the same thing over and over. I told him that regardless of the reason, people deserve to be spoken to with kindness and respect, and that this kind of behavior should never happen in front of customers because it created a very awkward and uncomfortable environment for everyone. He apologized, but it didn't feel particularly sincere--he just seemed frustrated. I understand that he may have valid reasons for wanting customers to call the salon directly instead of texting their nail techs. That's his business decision to make. However, there is never a reason to berate employees in front of customers. I'm still giving five stars because of the wonderful women who work there and because my nail tech has consistently provided excellent service for six years. They deserve recognition. That said, if this had been my first experience at this salon, I honestly would not have returned. Be aware of this whack-o. I couldn't believe how he was talking to them. Not okay!!!!!
