The oven would not heat up, and they replaced a small part for the ignition. It only took a few minutes, and the price was fair!

I first called Zack maybe 4-5 years ago about our leaking washer. Over the phone he told me that he…read morewould save me the trip charge because what I was describing would cost more to fix than for me to go buy a new washer. Right then I knew he was honest. A couple weeks ago our fridge was having an issue with the paddle for the ice/water sticking so I called him and we had a couple other small issues we figured we would get fixed at the same time. He charges a trip charge which gets applied to your repair if you decide to do it. His fee for fixing the first appliance is a flat rate plus parts. Additional appliances were also a flat rate but way less than the first item. So if you have a few things to do at once it saves you. He came out and diagnosed our issues and then ordered the parts needed and came back a few days later and fixed everything. He takes a variety of payment methods and warranties his work. He was so pleasant to have around and I'm normally not comfortable having people in the house. Even my dog liked him! Anyway I highly recommend Zack for help with keeping appliances out of landfills and in good working order.

Wow! Zack is great!…read more Our Maytag dryer kept giving off "check lint screen" error lights and wouldn't work. We had religiously cleaned the screen after each use, but the dryer came with the house, so we didn't really know how old it was. (Zach said 8-10 years.) Anyway, we called a little after lunch, and while Zach was at another job and picked up. He was able to sort of diagnose our problem over the phone and was able to get from Naperville to Westmont in less than 20 minutes. (I hope he didn't drive too fast.) We were not really expecting any appointment until next week, but within an hour, Zack was able to diagnose the problem, and FINISH the repair and the dryer area looks great. I'm typing this up at 4:20pm and we called him not even 4 hours ago. Very happy with ZTG. Thanks Zack!

I also had an unbelievable experience with this company. I have a front load Samsung washer that's…read moremounted on a pedestal that was off level. In the spin cycle the machine was ready to come off the pedestal. I did a search for a Samsung dealer close to Lemont and call All Appliance. He said he could have someone out on a Saturday between noon and 3 and that the call would more than likely be $220 because it might require 2 tech's to do the job. At 2:45 the "dispatcher" called and said the tech wouldn't be able to make it. I asked why and he said he didn't know. Shame on me, I called them again to see if they could make it for the following Saturday and they called back and assured me they could. I took the day off work to be there and asked if they could get the job done by3PM and they assure be they could. At 2 PM the dispatcher, Micahel, called and told me they couldn't make it. Obviously that upset me and I did raise my voice a bit, and asked him how he could "stiff me 2 weeks in a row and how do you run a business that way?" To my amazement, he said "it's a free country, go get someone else" and then hung up. I was amazed. I called Samsung and found out they really aren't a certified Samsung repair company...thier site implies they are. Samsung sent out another company who did a great job and was $60 less expensive. Here's the kicker.....I put a complaint in with the BBB (along with reviews on Yellow Pages). Two days after the BBB complaint was put in I get a Voice Mail from Michael from All Appliance chewing me out for complaining to the BBB. He said he "has feeling too" and that's why he said what he said. He also told me I only told the BBB my side of the story and that I need to make sure when I do future reviews to tell his side! I'm not kidding! I have 10 customer service representatives that staff my customer service department. I saved Michael's Voice Mail and played it for them as an example of how not to meet a customers needs. That's about the only thing this company was good for.

We have Samsung refrigerator that is approximately six years old. Starting in December, the fridge…read moreside has been warming up and thus spoiling food even through it is saying the temperature is 34 degrees on the outside. I have had the unpleasant experience of calling and dealing with All Appliance Repairs and Installation in Romeoville, IL on Weber Road. First of all they claim to service Samsung appliances, though as it turns out, they are not even certified to do the work. Second, the charge more of a service fee to service the Samsung as opposed to other brands. After the first visit, they repaired the control board which was around $200. It took "3-14 days" to get the parts, which seems to be a bit much, but I'll give them that. After weeks of it not working, they show up and replace this part. To our excitement, the fridge worked for about two weeks, then heated up yet again to around 52 degrees. Many phone calls were made and messages left for the repair person and it was less than timely of a response given. Apparently they didn't change the cooling sensors, "which they usually do with this type of repair" so that was going to need to be done. You guessed it, another "3-14 days" to get those in. Weeks go by and finally the parts are in, which I had to keep calling about, and they come out to put these in. This time the repair man was supposed to show up in the window of time given, yet totally did not show up nor did he even call. I called and spoke with the customer service person who contacted the repair man and apparently he ran over and would be able to show up in approximately two hours (nice that he probably gave himself a lunch in my opinion). Then, he called the house and claimed he was at the house to my husband and said nobody was there. My husband literally stood outside on our porch and explained that he was standing outside and there was not anyone here, the repair man kept up with this story for a bit, then continued to be delayed for the second window given. Eventually, the repair was done and we defrosted as we were told and to our excitement, the fridge worked for a few days, and then, just as before, it started warming up. Phone call after phone call was made and finally, they returned a call and claimed they were calling Samsung directly and that they were getting nowhere. They claimed to have called two times. I interjected with "it usually takes me five or six messages to actually get a phone call returned by you, so perhaps being a bit more persistent would be required." He claimed that "we will call eight to ten times then." After a about a week, I put in another call, no return. Now, the freezer, which had been working fine, decided to stop even though the display was saying 2 degrees. Now mind you, it has been hovering around 52 degrees in the fridge this whole time and the only thing working was the freezer. I called last night while having a friend in the heating and cooling industry take a look at it and upon removing the covering piece, discovered the evaporation coils were frozen over. I have been speaking with All Appliance Repair and let me tell you the unprofessionalism is ridiculous! I'm not sure where the customer service person has gotten the idea or training that just by saying "I have to go and take another call" and hanging up abruptly or "I'll call you back in five minutes" and hanging up abruptly, is professional, but we both disagreed on that and he tried to, weakly, debate his point that he was professional. After all this frustration, and a 90 day warranty on their service that has never worked more than a few days at a time, they have agreed to refund only $200 or the nearly $340 spent on this nightmare of a transaction. I would suggest never using this company if you want an appliance to be fixed right the first time. He says the technician does not want to work on the item any longer as he deems it a lemon at this point, though it has clearly worked for a number of years without a problem. He also challenges me, the customer, to find someone that can actually diagnose and fix this refrigerator and to let them know what is wrong with it. Is this really the professionalism that a company should possess? Should a company that has been so leisurely providing service be keeping any money for this service that has yet to work for this transaction especially considering they warrantee their work for 90 days?
