The big thing to fix before we moved in, was demolishing the old, impractical closet shelving and organizing (to replace with new). Because it all happened far faster than expected, we found ourselves needing contractor help in a hurry to get a large walk-in closet and four other bedroom closets demolished, patched, and painted. I went on Yelp, found CHS were top rated, and sent them a message. Bill and his team at CHS replied within 24 hours to our first inquiry. We exchanged texts with photos and questions and got and accepted a quote within a day. They were in our house three days later and got the job done two days after that. They stripped the floor to ceiling old shelves, patched and repainted the walls, fixed the hardwood floors and left everything completely clean. From first Yelp search to finished job, one week. I am very disappointed in the work and level of service I received from Ronald's Painting. I had…read morethem install cabinets, back splash tiles, and renovate a whole bathroom. They completed the job but it felt like the bare minimum was done. They didn't caulk anything. Tile work was C- work. The vanity they bought was messed up and warped but they still installed it instead of returning it and waiting for a new one. There wasn't any quality control until I came back from abroad to complain. You can tell they are just a painting company trying to take on more types of work. Maybe stay in your lane. When they installed my cabinets, they didn't bother to put in an electrical outlet above the stove so I have somewhere to plug in the built-in microwave I had installed. They just installed it over the old one and didn't bother. I'm pretty sure they didn't pull any permits because no one would approve that to be up to code. My mom found them from a flyer through church but I guess that doesn't mean they're honest or do good work. STAY AWAY! Update - Ron called me back almost immediately as soon as the review went up. He couldn't return my call but he definitely acted quickly with the review. As you can see from his passive-aggressive response, there is ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY, which showed throughout the project. Everything was my fault or the other contractor's fault or how long it's been etc... Yes, the other contractor was a poor communicator but I can assure you that his work had nothing to do with Ron's work. Am I not allowed to sub-contract work out how I see fit according to my budget? So when I brought in another contractor for the other stuff, your team said screw it, we don't need to take ownership for anything? Like the demo being left in my backyard? Yeah, thought so. The reason it's been 10 months is that I've had the house listed for sale. I've recently taken down the listing and am renting it and purchased new appliances, which is when I noticed that Ron's team didn't put in the outlet above the stove for a microwave/hood or put in a water line for the fridge. It's the small details that I thought when I paid Ron, I wouldn't have to worry about. I was wrong. Please don't act like I was a satisfied customer when we parted ways 10 months ago. When I got back from my honeymoon, I was very displeased with the work done and had to do several walkthroughs with your Foreman to even get it to just "all right". So now that I've had to spend more money to fix your lazy mistakes, I'm leaving the review.

The crew was very polite (they moved the blueberry trees out of the way), tarped the deck, as well as the yard on the other side of the house. They knocked it out in about 4 hours, blew the driveway clean, and left no trace. I ONLY found 3 nails on the deck. The weather was perfect, and the shingles match the rest of the house. After my friend's recommendation, I called Blue Fox Roofing to inquire about an estimate for a complete roof replacement. During our initial conversation, I informed him that the company that was already working on other projects on my property was fully expected to handle the roofing as well. When I called, he assured me that he could do a better job and even offered to include some extras if I chose his company. I mentioned the other company and that my insurance would cover the new roof. I provided him with the insurance company's price for all roofing-related work. He was fine with this and expressed his willingness to complete the job immediately. Since he was a professional roofer, he assured me that the job would be done correctly. I provided him with all the details that the insurance company had given me, and he reiterated that he was the right person for the job. However, during our conversation with Jay, my wife signed a contract with the other company without knowing that I was seeking this alternative bid. Consequently, I found myself under contract with the other company. Jay informed me that I had three days to cancel that contract, and if I did, he could start the job immediately. After having several conversations with my wife, I decided to cancel the first contract. The next morning, I called Jay and left a message stating that the previous contract had been canceled and that we were ready to proceed with his company. I asked him to let me know what steps we needed to take to set the job start date. I did not hear from Jay for over six hours when I called him again and explained that I was ready to move forward with his company. To my surprise, he responded that there was no reason to return my first call because the job did not pay enough for him to be interested in it. He even suggested that if I could convince the insurance company to increase its payment, he would call me back. I was shocked and felt betrayed. Now, without a roofer, I had burned the first bridge and foolishly believed in his lies and deceitfulness. Today, I am without a roof or roofer, but I am determined to find a solution. We had a fantastic experience with Kevin from start to finish…read more We had a leak showing up in our laundry room and were having a tough time figuring it out since it wasn't happening when we were doing laundry and it only happened certain times when it rained, not all the time. My husband attempted to find the leak when looking at the pipes in the attic, cutting out part of the wall in the laundry room to make sure no pipes behind the washer/dryer were having issues, but eventually came to the conclusion that it could potentially be rain coming into the dryer vent which is on our roof - so if we had an extremely hard rain that came in a crazy angle, our wall was getting wet. Mike came to do the estimate the next morning. One day later, his crew came out to do the job. They were quick and efficient and the new gutter looks great. They even replaced the old curved connecting sections that the broken piece fit into so it looks extra sharp. The price is about what I expected to spend. Stacy, who answers phones and does scheduling, called to make sure I was satisfied before mailing out the invoice. This is a nice touch, because I'm used to paying contractors in cash at the completion of a job, whether I am satisfied or not.
