It was only supposed to be three days. She would not have it. I paid her the full amount and picked up my dogs, but I would not recommend this facility. I do not know how my dogs were treated as I cannot ask them, but I do know they were really happy to come home.

Someone had recommended Adette so we quickly called to see if they could accommodate us. They saved us! Adette was so patient with us and we were able to take care of all the info over the phone and have Jill, our pitbull, there within an hour even though it was within closing time. We loved how sweet they were and we also loved that they use natural approach to everything. Jill looked so happy when we picked her up vs how she looked when we picked her up from the sitter that cancelled on us. The ranch was very clean and we would recommend them to anyone. Tip: it's a little hard to find so keep your eyes peeled or you'll miss it.

My husband and I could not be more thrilled with the results of a board and train experience at K9…read moreMastery for our Belgian Malinois mix, Zeus. At the end of 2022, I became pregnant and we started to notice more territorial and protective behaviors in Zeus. He was 1.5 years old at the time and still demonstrated intermittent destructive behaviors every couple of months. He also had a traumatic experience with crate training as an 8 week old puppy where he escaped and ended up sustaining a complete fracture of his leg. Due to this event, we had not been successful with crate training because of his anxiety. We tried increasing his exercise, using mentally stimulating toys, hiring a trainer who came to the home, and gradually re-attempting crate training. None of these efforts worked and Zeus' behaviors worsened. We had two incidents where Zeus bit another dog in the dog park that backs up to our home (which he thinks is part of our property) and where he barked at and cornered a 10 year old boy. My husband and I lost hope and, as our due date approached, we made the very difficult decision to post Zeus on a re-homing page. The next day after making the post, we had someone interested in taking Zeus. On that same day, a good friend recommended we send Zeus to K9 Mastery and generously wanted to gift us the opportunity. Christie was extremely accommodating in taking Zeus on short notice due to the urgency of the situation with our first baby arriving in a couple months. Zeus stayed at K9 mastery for 6 weeks and we got weekly updates. He was a handful when he first arrived as Christie dealt with his extreme separation anxiety and fear of the crate. Despite Zeus somehow escaping a heavy duty crate, digging under the fence, and chewing through dry wall, Christie did not give up on Zeus. She tried a variety of techniques ("puppy" heartbeat next to his crate, CBD oil, a steel welded crate, increasing his exercise in addition to training, etc.) to help get him past his separation and crate anxiety. Things got better as the weeks went by and when we arrived to pickup Zeus, we saw a new dog. Christie gave us the tools to adequately meet his mental and physical needs in a way that worked for our family and lifestyle. She taught us how to take control and lead Zeus so he doesn't feel the need to dominate and protect. In the several months that we've had him home, we have not had any issues with destruction, crate training, or aggressive behaviors with people coming into the home. He maintains the boundaries we've instilled with the new baby. We've received several compliments from strangers and neighbors while we've been out with Zeus on his excellent obedience. He listens despite distractions (food, toys, other dogs, loud noises, sudden movements, and his ultimate weakness, squirrels). We are so grateful to Christie for allowing us to keep our dog. Our home would not be the same without him and his sweet, goofy, and loving personality. We highly recommend K9 Mastery for all your dog training needs! Sadie is always exhausted when we pick her up from all of the running and play time she gets on the property. Several times, Sadie has needed medication for minor issues during her stay and Annie administered it without hesitation. Annie is also extremely accommodating when it comes to the drop off/pick up times. She even has given us random tips here and there when asked. We now live in the Fort Worth area and refuse to board Sadie anywhere here because we know that no place will compare to MRSD. Annie/MRSD is truly a gem!!! :)

If you want someone reliable who will make sure your animals are okay, this is not the sitter for…read moreyou. Our experience with this person was pretty awful. We went on a trip and she called and said that our front gate would not open. We had given her instructions on how to go through the side gate should the electricity go out and the front gate not open. But since she didn't take any notes when she came to meet us and our dogs, I guess she forgot that and left our dogs in their crates for 15 hours before we could get someone to our house to let our dogs out. Then, to add insult to injury, she had the nerve to keep our money. Now I don't know about you but if I pay someone to let my dogs out and they don't, I would not expect to pay them. Call me crazy! This was an especially cold day in our area and according to our neighbor, we had no precipitation and the side gate was not frozen. According to Pat Anderson, the side gate was frozen and she said "she's in no shape to be climbing over a 3 foot chain linked fence". Granted...she did say she was sorry as she cashed our check. I'm sure someone out there has had a positive experience with her but for us, we will never use her again and felt it important to let people know.

Can I give them ten stars?! I won't lie, part of me kind of doesn't want to write this or say…read moreanything because I don't want to have to fight for my baby to have a great place to stay, but also as a truly psycho pet parent...I know, I'll own it... this place made my heart so happy. This was my third or fourth (can't even remember the others were so traumatizing) doggy daycare to visit. This is the only one that didn't instantly hit me in the face with the smell of urine or wet dog...eww. Also, this one has amazing staff members that actually seem happy in their jobs, not just hating their lives and overwhelmed by dogs. BHV takes a completely different approach to daycare than the others I saw. They keep the dogs in play groups of no more than 8-10 dogs. Others literally got as high as 40! I had a baby anxiety attack just watching it on the monitors. They let the play groups go outside and run around for around 20 minutes and play really hard, then that group goes back to their individual dog set up, which is NOT a crate! It's this precious little white picket fence area where the fence is 4-5 feet tall...pending height of the animals (they have a room for big dogs and a room for small dogs). You bring your baby's bed, stuffed toys, snacks, whatever they need, they provide water bowls, food bowls, etc. There is a big screen TV in all of the rooms where your dog will be resting for some background noise so that they aren't freaked out by every new sound. If you use the normal space with the picket fences, your babies can still see their friends "across the way" so they know they're not alone. During the approximately 1 hr to 1.5 hrs that your dog will be in the white picket fence area resting, there is one staff member coming around a few times to let each dog out to run down the hall and say "hi" to all of it's friends and get a little energy out, if it wants. You can also actually board your animal here over night...they have many levels of quite nice spaces (a couple suites are nicer than my bedroom LOL). This review is not about that, as we only use them for daycare. My dog and others that I've witnessed get so excited when pulling into the parking lot. Drop offs have become "mom, get outta my way, love you bye, I have friends to see". They post pics of the dogs throughout the day on social media so you can see your baby having fun. My husband and I have quickly fallen in love with this place, the lovely "hoos" that run it and even the fellow parents. It just seems like everyone loves being a part of this place. I have zero guilt about leaving my kid here, as I know she is having tons of fun and comes home a tired baby.
