There were four slip covers for the cushions and one large slip cover that ran across the entire couch. I had high expectations and told the owner about this. We kidding each other a little bit about what the outcome would be and he said - I can't promise you anything - but he would do his best. However I found out later that he did do his best. He soaked all the slip covers overnight which could've caused damage to his machines. When I put them back on my couch I was happy that I brought my slip covers to Railroad Drive In cleaners.

I brought two of the three bags out and popped back inside to grab a third. When I came back, the bags were gone. No knock/ring or "hey, can I take these?" Nothing, just gone. Then 2 minutes later I get a text from some other named laundry company, telling me I have to Venmo or Zelle him $48. WHAT???? He hadn't even had time to weigh the bags. I had spoken on the phone to TWO men. They said nothing of any of this. They were changing the terms of the agreement. I called Elio on the store phone line, or so I thought. He then told me he sold the company to Mike the driver, and deal with him. He said that he is just doing the laundry work for Mike, but it's Mike's company now. Then he told me he isn't in the store, or even in the state. I tell him I don't like deal being changed, and I don't have their payment methods, and to just bring the bags back. He told me I will have to PAY THEIR MINIMUM, $25 to get my clothing back!!!!! When I objected, he started mouthing off to me. I hung up and called the local Police, who sent a car over. They took care of it. The infractions were clear: - They took the bags without notice (not even all the bags I had) - They changed the agreement after the fact. - They tried to create an illegal bailment with my property. It was originally $250 and I purchased it for $50. I figured that even if I spent another $50 on alterations, it would be worth it. And I was right - it was completely worth it. The tailoring job was amazing. You could not tell it was altered and it fit me better than if I had purchased the blazer in my size. There is always something I would like to fix when I buy off the rack... Since then I have brought a ton of my toddler's clothes for alterations. As a first time mom, I've prepurchased cute outfits for my child to "grow into", and after a year and a half I realized that growing into the perfect fit NEVER happens. Sizes are all different, or we miss the season and it doesn't fit anymore. The biggest issue we have is that the waist fits but the pant legs are way too long. I'm relieved to say that I finally found someone to make adjustments to the clothes who I trust and my toddler finally has clothes that fit - as do I... They then mislabeled about $1000 in items and I had to go through the rack to find my stuff which was a completely different name on the ticket. Every time I went to Smart Set Too I wasn't sure what kind of curve ball I was going to get thrown at me. 'We don't have your items; Come back we need more time; You didn't drop anything off' when I clearly did drop items off and they put the wrong tickets to the names.
