Cute little restaurant in the tiny town of Adams, WI. I had a belgian waffle with cherry topping and 2 scrambled eggs. Waffle with the cherry topping was great. I also took 2 cookies for later in the day. While i greatly enjoyed the breakfast i was disappointed in the peanut butter cookie. It wasn't fresh. It looked delicious and i was hopeful but it was hard and not pleasant to eat. Maybe it just had been in the cookie jar too long. I mean it is a bakery and cafe and should be fresh. Their easter cookies and pies in the display case looked AMAZING. I wish i had chosen one of tbose. Anyway, i would go back for breakfast and for pie or maybe one of tnose beautifully decorated easter cookies. But the peanut butter cookie - i will pass on that. Staff were very nice! read more

Wonderful small town place to stop for a slamming breakfast sandwich, frozen pizza or sweet treat to go. The menu is pretty extensive and they serve breakfast all day. A favorite dish seems to be the Alaskan waffle which is topped with ice cream, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We ate breakfast here and have stopped in a few times just to pick up some bakery items. We love the banana cream pie cup, lemon curd bread, turtle lava cake and chocolate covered Twinkie's. Service can be slow (by Milwaukee/city standards) but everything is served hot and to order. There is typically one waitress working too so keep that in mind. Cash payment is preferred and there is a small surcharge for credit card purchases. They have weekly bingo games and you seat yourself if you want to dine in. This is a breakfast / lunch spot as they are not open during dinner hours. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Adams County or camping at Roche-a-Cri state park nearby. read more

Never knew this place was here. A friend told me about it so we checked it out. This place was amazing. Many baked goods and a full menu. I had a wonderful Denver omelette and my wife had turkey soup and salad with turkey. Saved room for desert and there were so many to choose from. I had Dutch apple blueberry pie and my wife had Dutch apple cherry pie Both were excellent and nice sized slices The service was great and the place had other things for sale. Becky's is such a cute place! When you walk in, the atmosphere is like an adorable scene from a movie: a bakery-meets-diner type setting. They always have it decorated super cute for Holidays, and the staff is absolutely amazing! The bakery items and regular menu is top notch! I give extra support to Becky's due to their support of the community; offering various items for sale made by local people. Candles are just one of the awesome items! They make sure to have flyers and announcements visible for the community to participate (like school sporting and music events, community theater, etc) And speaking of candles, I wish I could buy one in the scent of the establishment itself! Food is good. Service is good. Ambience is so-so. This is a converted store, I think. Long and narrow. They are trying everything to be successful, even bingo. The breakfast menu is extensive and has lots of unusual features. Lunch sandwiches have always been good. I ordered a cake from here during the holidays and it was excellent. I just think this place is trying too hard to be all things to all people. When it first opened, I was hoping it would be just a bakery, but it kept getting more and more items and food. A specialty bakery in town would be great. There's bakery at the grocery store and kwik trip so I suppose they had to branch out. Maybe try narrowing down the menu and getting better at making something outstanding instead of mediocre things. read more

The food is good, but the owner can be crabby. I tried to buy more things to cheer her up, but nothing worked. I bought a dozen dark chocolate and a dozen milk chocolate strawberries for valentines day. Ive been buying them every valentines day since Beckys opened. They always came a dozen in a well presented box. This year they gave them to me in 6 4 packs. It did not give a good presentation. When i questioned it, i was told that boxes cost money. I said i would pay for the boxes.so then they put them all in one massive cake box that was way too big. We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. It feels like a café inside of a north woods gift shop. They apparently have baked goods and ice cream in the back. The good: portions were large -- the ham slices on the Eggs Benedict were like a half an inch thick. The English muffin could've been better toasted. The hashbrowns were good but the shack browns were amazing. Service was attentive and quick. The not as good: the coffee was not great -- simultaneously bitter and tasteless... at least it was cheap. The French toast was very disappointing -- bland city. I would not recommend it. The loaded breakfast bowls, however, were large and full of flavor, I'd stick to that. read more

I was in the area for work again and decided to give Becky's another try after seeing their specials online. I ordered the peanut butter bacon burger with fries and got some edible cookie dough to eat along with water. It was $25 with a 20% tip for the two items, so a little pricey. It did take a solid 30 min to get my burger and fries and at the time when I ordered I was the only person there. A few others came in to get ice cream and many did pick up orders. That seems to be the majority of their business. The burger was really good. It was definitely a good sized burger, because I couldn't even finish it all. The PB was an interesting touch and not something I'd normally put on a burger. The fries were good. The cookie dough was awesome, however the mini spoon they give you is worthless. I took a fork to it. The only reason I'm giving the 4 stars was because of the slower service. Otherwise it was really good. Also there are sooooo many sweets to pick from. Stopped in yesterday to "just get a snack or ice cream" and the amount of treats they have was overwhelming in a good way (pies bread cakes sweets ice cream...) And they make most of them there in their small kitchen which is impressive-- more importantly they taste phenomenal. We got banana bread to take home and my husband got a pastry and chocolate truffle. We ended up getting lunch as well and my roast beef dip was so tasty and my husband had the breakfast taco bowl the ladies that work there are so nice- overall great experience for anything you're looking for - snack, meal, or need a cake for a special occasion ! read more

First time in the Sells area and this place came recommended by our Airbnb host. Took the entire family for breakfast and we all loved our meals! The biscuits and gravy (one of my favorite things for breakfast) was the best we've ever had (outside of what I make at home). The gravy was full of delicious sausage and biscuits were oh so good (we split a half order amongst all of us because we ordered other things). The southwestern stuffed burrito was also tasty- and gravy delish! All the meals are quite generous so I'd recommend sharing since most breakfast foods don't reheat well. And our servers were very friendly and efficient- giving us some ideas of places to visit while we were in the area. We'll be going back for ice cream some evening!! read more

Love BSSB for the food and the atmosphere. Had the grilled chicken wrap and fries. Lightly seasoned chicken with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and cheese slightly melted. Super hot French fries too! My husband and I got our wedding cake from Becky's and it was amazing. Becky was ready for us to come in with so many specific requests (and from what we can in the shop it looks like they can do just about anything!) but we didn't have a very specific idea, just wanted a classic wedding cake. If you've driven down the main drag in Adams, you've surely seen Becky's Sugar Shack - it's the bright neon pink building. While exploring the Adams downtown area one day this summer we stopped in to see if anything looked appealing. The shop is cute and offers a decent variety of baked goods and savory hot food. I ended up purchasing a box of day-old pumpkin cake donuts (a mix of frosted and not) and a chocolate cannoli. The donuts were okay. I think they'd probably be good fresh, but I'd honestly skip them from the day-old shelf. True, it was $1.50 for six, which is a steal, but they were a bit dried out. The frosted ones were slightly better with the glaze giving things a little moisture. The cannoli was a tasty treat that I really enjoyed, but beware: aside from the shell it's really got very little to do with an actual cannoli. The filling was a sugary, light, whipped cream frosting. The overall effect reminded me more of a creme horn. I'd get it again, but if a cannoli is what you crave you will likely be disappointed, at least with that particular variety. There were several to choose from and I'll probably buy a few the next time I'm in. read more

I bought 2 dozen of there truffles of different flavors. We served them at a party and nobody cared for them. Everybody thought they were like eating frosting with no flavor or chocolate at all.
