If you are looking for a good place to get a haircut this is the place! The owners name is "Macho" he is so funny and he cuts hair very good best fade I've seen in a while. I usually get my cut done by "David". David is around my age and is hilarious too we get along no problem he is cool to talk to. The first time I tried "Fade Specialist" they greeted me in like a regular customer, now everytime I go up there we always have a good conversation. I just moved down here this year and needed a barber to go to and found this place. They do my cut just the way I like it every time, and if you don't like it they verify before you leave the chair. It is very clean in the inside and has television with sports. Ever since the first time I've been here I have come here since. Trust me if you are new to the town this is a nice friend place to visit will cut whatever hairstyle you want. Don't let the reviews on here fool you this is a good barbershop! read more

I believe in supporting Black businesses only when they operate professionally. I have come to this shop several times since i moved to Vegas, of which almost each time i left with unsatisfactory results. I took a chance on this shop cause i didn't know of any barbers and no one had any referrals. I should have cut ties from the first time my hairline was moved back a quarter inch. I'm a woman and most women want to maintain their feminine attributes when getting a tapered, fade, etc... i had to grow my hairline back as i looked like a fool and i won't be sharing those photos. First time I went, arriving early, a brother with locs smelling like he smoked all the weed in Vegas; moved my haiine back like i mentioned before, and my haircut was lopsided. I had to come back after i had already tipped him for service. He had to even out what was suppose to be a mowhawk. Second time this barber was pretty decent, however, his hands were foul smelling and he knew it! He tried to mask the scent with hand sanitizer only making it worse. The third time, another barber faded my hair but was too afraid to pick out my afro and when i got home, one side was much lower than the other.i had to cut my own damn hair to even it out. So again today (9/30/20), going against my better judgment, trying to crunch time for a family event, i went to the same shop. I walk in, early again, there was one chair open, however this barber would never turn around as he was too busy cleaning his clippers. I wasn't acknowledged by anyone in the barbershop, not even by the owner. Eventually 15 minutes later, the owner's chair opened up. He said nothing to me. He didn't ask what service did i need or was i waiting on a specific barber. He too set in his chair and begin to clean his clippers. I was shook! Like who comes into a barbershop just sit there? I won't beg you to take my money. It's cool. You earned this review. Perhaps you'll step up your professionalism and make certain you QA your barbers work before clients leave out the door. Just because you can hold clippers doesn't mean you can cut hair. read more

Rude over the phone and in person I know Macho personally his old barber had more class and respect towards clients the people he has now are arrogant and mediocre at their craft I was told over the phone "Are you making an appointment or not because I'm with a client and don't have time for allat" you're not even a good enough barber to speak that way you messed up a taper fade. read more

Best haircuts in Vegas by far!! Doesn't matter which barber you get, they all do great work. I get a haircut and a beard cut every time and the quality keeps me coming back every time. I do suggest making an appointment as most of the customers get one on a regular basis. The wait might take a little longer than expected but it's only because they take their time on the haircuts and make sure you look good. Definitely a barber shop feel in there, friendly atmosphere and can't say enough about the quality. read more

I was a walk in and met a barber who said his name was "L." "L" has no idea he just gave me the best haircut I've ever gotten. I didn't want to cross town to come to this shop because after my last experience with a barber closer ti hime, I was just willing to buy clippers and learn to cut my iwn hair in my bathroom. I can't compare this shop or these barbers to any other place else because I have no frame of reference. I have been to two batbers in my life, and the other guy doesn't deserve to be mentiined as he didn't do half of the work that "L" did. Was the shop the cleanest, or most modern probably not... but I'm there for a haircut not to judge men on their housecleaning... I absolutely LOVE this place!! My son refuses to go anywhere else!! We have gone to about six other barbers in town- he has gotten cut ALL along his forehead to where he has a thin line of blood across his face, he's had a line up that you have to tilt your head to make it look straight, he's even gotten ringworm all the way around his neck! NOTHING like this has EVER happened to my son here, all the barbers are awesome!! It's the classic barbershop environment that is very hard to find nowadays. I am a licensed beauty professional here in Vegas...I am a stickler for sanitation and I know what to look for!! The Fade Specialist is a legit, clean, and authentic shop!! I just moved to this part of town and had driven by this shop multiple times. It was time for a hair cut so I decided to give them a try. I arrived at the shop at 9 and I was already in a chair getting my hair cut by 9:01. This is extremely rare, especially for a Saturday. I let him know what I wanted and I was done in less than 20 minutes. Seth did a great job and I would recommend him. My wife approves and i'll definitely be back. read more

Disgrace of a place. Barber said he understood cut i wanted for my child and he decided to cut off all of it. My son was crying at the end. And another barber didnt want to cut my sons hair cause it was long. Hello thats why i took him. Bad thing he didnt say it to my face i heard him telling the othe barber that was cutting my other sons hair. Listen to me and never go there,never. For 16$ i thought i would be worth it. Horrible experience! The barber who cut my hair didn't know how to cut my hair or didn't want to cut my hair. I had been wearing a cap all day he didn't wet my hair to straighten it. He just used clippers to cut my hair. When I got home and combed my hair it seemed like a blind guy had cut my hair. I had to cut my own hair to fix the horrible cut I got at fade specialist. just moved to vegas from LA and a co-worker told me about this place so I decided to give it a try. switching barbers isn't always easy but I was pretty satisfied! the environment was relaxed and there wasn't a long wait time. was there for about 2 minutes until I was helped and the barber was really helpful in making sure that I got what I asked for and understood the actual terminologies. price was similar to what im used to so there wasn't a big surprise. I would definitely go back again and now im relieved I don't have to keep searching for a new barber. read more
