The day before 4th of July, my husband and I were on the way to Vegas from LA when our BMW Z3 decided to die on us while driving. We called our insurance company (USAA) and they referred us to Fast Trac since we wanted to be towed all the way to Vegas; about 90 minutes waiting in the middle of the desert and $400 later, the tow arrived and our guy (s/o to Darell) apologized for the delay in coming to get us since he was picking up another group before us. After he helped out with the other group, we went back to get our car towed and another 90 minutes later, we made it to Vegas! After he dropped off the car with the auto shop, he was kind enough to give us a lift to our hotel, which was another 15 minutes away. I'll make this review short, as there is nothing nice to say about this company. They caused $2700 worth of damage to my brand new 2017 Lincoln that I have only had for a little over a year. When I took my car in to Lincoln they said thank god I was okay because the damage to the vehicle was so extensive it could have been life threatening, to the extent they would not allow me to drive it off the lot. I was out of a car for over 30 days, and when I called the tow truck company they told me and I quote "You can not prove the damage was from us, go ahead and try to sue us. People have tried before and failed, than hung up on me" I have filed against this company with the Better Business Bureau and will be filing a small claims court suit. BEWARE of the NEGLIGENCE! Was so impressed and thankful to Jacob & Anothony. Called y insurance company and asked for a tow since we broke down. Jacob quickly called within 10 minutes after completing the call with my insurance. Jacob asked if we were okay and if we were in danger, thankfully we were able to get off freeway into a parking lot. Jacob explained he would get to us in a half hour which didn't feel like it, it was more like 15 minutes. He quickly got our truck on his flatbed. The gentlemen Jacob was clean his truck interior was clean considering he had been busy working for 12 hours. We are not from here in Barstow but his professionalism and cleanliness far exceeded what we've encountered in Salt Lake City Utah where we currently reside. While being towed into town his manager Anthony contacted me to explain he tried contacting the auto shop we were taking our to get fixed and could not get a hold of anyone and explained our car would not be safe due to the unsafe area of where the auto shop was located. He offered to have our car stored at their yard. Anthony went outpf his way to contact back our insurance to explain the dangerous situation to approve the over night storage and extra tow in the morning. Boy were we ever relieved we followed his advice because there was random people walking around at night even by the hotel we spent the night at. So Jacob went out of his way that night to take us to the hotel which was completely opposite his yard location to drop. read more

IF you break down in the middle of the desert, I hope you are as fortunate as we were last Friday. We shredded the serpentine belt on our truck just 12 miles outside of Barstow and Fast Trac came to the Rescue! When our USAA roadside service sent us 4 miles in the wrong direction to a "shop" that was a wet spot on the side of the road, Ted our driver when he discovered that my wife has a life threatening condition, took the initiative to make sure we were not stranded. He guided us through the process of asking our roadside assistance to allow us to go back to his shop in Barstow. When we arrived Paul and his staff welcomed us and offered us cool water and all the A/C we could absorb. Even though they were extremely busy because of the 106 degree temperature outside the shop was able to inspect my vehicle, replace the belt and put me back on the road within about an hour of arriving at the shop. Finally, to my surprise the bill at the end of this ordeal was completely reasonable! I now have friends in the middle of the desert between Las Vegas and Southern California. A few days ago my cars engine blew so I got a ride home and I called CHP letting them know that my car was stuck on the side of the freeway. Later that day I was told that Fast Trac was the company that picked up my car and was storing it. Days go by and I wait until Monday morning to call (since some of their office personnel are only their during business hours). I asked if I can just sell my car to them so that I won't have to pay my towing fees. I told them that I have my lien release stamped and all of my paper work, however, they refused. They told me that they would charge me $280 to tow it to a junk yard however. I told them that that was too expensive for me. So a few days go by and I get a junk yard tow truck to pick up my car and junk it. The whole day I had one of the employees asking me how much I was charged by the junk yard tow truck. I kept telling them $75. He kept giving me condescending looks, which I ignored. I was so relieved when I finally took care of everything. I really do believe that Fast Trac should train there employees to be a little more professional. read more

My "hippie van" broke down and had a little episode in Barstow, on a Saturday no less. I was scared I'd be stuck there getting harassed by cops until Monday.. or that the cops would arrange a tow. But thank everything holy there are good people at Fast Trac who actually do what they do to serve you, not screw you. Was certainly the first time in my life I've ever met a genuine and friendly tow company owner, and yeah I met the owner.. he's the one that lifted me off the side of the road. Super professional trucks and gear. Did a solid job. Best part is they dont just provide towing service, they also have a shop and a team of mechanics that did a super quick diagnosis and repair to my van. In my case I needed a new fuel pump, and they put in a new engine air filter for free. My baby never cranked up so fast, and she picks up speed so much faster now. My husband and I were heading to northern California from New Mexico for a visit with our family when our car overheated and lost power. We discovered that we had no water in the radiator due to our water pump going out. We called our roadside service who recommended Fast Track so we had them give the tow service a call for us. We were told that they'd be out in about an hour. Well the driver showed up in 20 minutes. He was very nice and treated us well.We had our camp trailer with so he towed everything back to their shop. He called in the mechanic very early to please come fix our car and even though he wasn't due in yet he came right down and got it done.The owner was also extremely nice and made us feel comfortable while we waited. Stranded outside the mojave desert we got in touch with Fast Trac Towing in Barstow. The owner, Paul Jordan, offered a discount price for towing if we agree to have the repair done in his shop (Sales International). While I sat in the waiting room my friend talked with the mechanic and a sales associate and came to the agreement that the labor fee would be rolled into the diagnostic test. When presented with the bill (my friend was not present) I ended up paying $175.35 in labor fees alone. $85 for the diagnostics test and the rest for installing an alternator belt and one cooler hose. I didn't know about the separate conversation between my friend and the mechanic/sales associate. Back on the road we find ourselves stranded again 200 miles from Barstow on I-15 without cell signal. The alternator belt ripped again because the alternator pulley was loose. The repair shop in UT repaired the loose pulley, put the alternator back in, put the belt back on and charged us only for one hour of labor. No diagnostics test needed. The repair time included a trip to the local AutoZone shop to get a new part. I contacted Paul Jordan via email to address this situation but got no response back from him. Only once I called him did he verify that he got my email. He insisted to address the issue over the phone - he refused to answer via email saying that he had no time for that. We feel cheated on and taken advantage of in a precarious situation. We were promised (verbally) that the diagnostic test would be part of the labor but it wasn't. Despite being charged for the alternator diagnostics test the underlying problem was not detected and repaired. The repair did not take two hours. His repair lasted only 200 miles. We think Paul Jordan offered lower towing fees to get the repair deal as well and then recovered the lower towing fees via labor costs. Breaking down near the Mojave desert leaves you with very view choices when it comes to towing and repair shops - we certainly made the wrong one. read more

Absolutely awful. I requested a tow through my insurance company. USAA called these guys to come tow my broken down car. They were supposed to show up between 1130-1200. They showed up at 1045 and since I wasn't with my vehicle yet (I was still at work), they canceled the tow and told me to call my insurance company back to get them to put in for a re-dispatch. I did that and was sitting by my car at 1130. I called to see where they were and the said they were on their way back. I get a call 5 min later asking me if I was here. I said yes and the guy asked if I was the one who needed a "jump"? I said, "no, I am the one who needs a tow." He said, "oh, I am going to have to go get the truck. No one said this was a tow." Now I am going to be late getting back to work because these clowns can't communicate with insurance companies, their customers, or each other clearly. I do not recommend. By the way, it is now 1215 and they are still not here. read more

I spent the last 5-days with my wife touring the Grand Canyon on the motorcycle. On our way home Sunday, March 25th, 2012, we had a massive blowout on Interstate 40, 110-miles from Needles and 68-miles from Barsow. It could not have been a more remote area with a high wind advisory and a huge storm approaching. When I called the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) for a tow they told me I did not have a current AMA membership and told me I would need to pay $500 if I needed them to set up a tow? Long story short, when I verified today that I did have coverage and confirmed I made the annual payment back in Sept 11' through Sept 12' they would not return my call? In fact when I went back online to the AMA today I found I was not able to access my online account information (good thing I printed everything I needed this morning). I asked for the manager of the Roadside Services department and directly to voice mail with no return call? AMA Membership 1079246 Expires on 9-30-12. When I hung up I called Geico. They immediately sent out a local tow truck company called "Fast Trac Towing" who arrived in no time at all. The driver Josh even called B & B Cycle to see if the store manager would ask the mechanic to come in on his day off to install my rear tire! If you ever need a tow these guy go the extra mile. My brother was on his way from NY to Southern California. He made it to the Mojave desert national preserve when the alternator happened to give up. His car wouldn't move and I was about a 7 hour drive away. He was still about and hour and a half out from Barstow. The driver made suggestions for closer locations East that might save him money but since he was heading West he went with Fast Trac Towing. The driver was friendly and made good time picking him up. It was about 7pm (on a Saturday!) when he made the call for a tow. I met him in Barstow a little after 10pm. They kept the car over night and by noon the next day we were informed that the car was fixed! The employee that met us there to pick it up was very personable. The price was very fair especially considering how far they had to tow it and the time of day. They are kind and honest men! We had an exceptional experience there and are so thankful! read more

The suspension gave out in my 2002 crown vic and I needed a tow, so I called this place. Everything was going very well, they got to my vehicle in a timely manner, towed it 22 miles for only $200, but the guy who drove the tow truck really botched getting my car off the truck. He did it in a very careless manner and ended up cracking the front bumper pretty badly and made it loose. There was also additional damage done to the suspension, like the tire becoming loose and wobbling in all directions. I tried calling the owner to tell him about it and to ask about some compensation for it but he insisted that the operator of the tow truck couldn't have done anything to avoid what he did the car - and even began to act a little immature and sarcastic with me (but that's no biggie). So in conclusion, if your car breaks down because of an issue under the hood and money is an issue then I could definitely recommend calling this place. However if it's an issue with your suspension then I would advise against it, because it seems their methods of handling vehicles can do even more damage to your vehicle than before. read more
