I used to go in regularly for alterations and dry cleaning until I went in once for alterations and an older woman, I believe the grandmother was rude and could careless about my business. Basically said " We cant do it" Instead of the person who usually does it isn't here he will be back later or tomorrow. A year later I gave them a second s chance again when I told her what I needed she was rude said he was busy altering a dress and it takes a long time she didn't ask if I wanted to wait. I don't have the words to express how amazing this place is. I question some reviews when I'm looking someone up on Yelp. Don't question this one. I had an emergency with two pair of men's slacks that needed to be hemmed for an event this evening. I begged for them to be ready at 3 PM after I felt like they could "maybe" make it happen. Had no idea. Ready at 12:17 pm. I can drive 2 miles to a dry cleaner down the hill. I can drive 4 miles and take my dry cleaning here. Amazing. Highly recommend. Excellent costumer service and superb work! I got a dress hemmed and the measurements were right on point! I also left some high heel wedges to be cleaned and they did an awesome job especially considering that they were leather! They also text message when your order is ready to pick up which I found to be very convenient! I also called a few other places in town and they were all going to take over a week to do the job, and at A-French Cleaners I dropped off on Monday afternoon and got a text that my order was ready to be picked up by early Thursday afternoon! Cannot recommend this place enough. I had a horrific stain (wood stain from a kitchen chair! Funny story.), and I took it into their dry cleaning .... it was still wet because my husband said it was too big for our dryer .... and I got it back with no stain and it's super fluffy. I've used A-French for the past 18 months, and as others might say, a bit pricey, but good. And they were, for the most part. Then, about a month ago, their "system" went "down", which left them with manual sorting of clothes, returned to you, etc. I went in to pick up one jacket that they had cleaned, and they could not find it, wait 15 min, no go. OK, I'll come back. One week later, same thing One week later, same thing, only this time with a call to me to say, hey, "We found your jacket"! So I came in again, fourth time now, and again, "Oh, we can't find it". And I waited, and I waited, and I waited.... Finally found it, no apologies, no effort to make it right. Just an inflated bill for $15 to dry clean a jacket. Will I be back? "Mais, non!", and you are a fool if you patronize this business. read more

terrible! I brought the comforter to wash but they didn't even wash and charged me $60. I knew it when I open to use it. It looked the same as before washing. I marked the distinctive dirty area before washing and it is still there. It doesn't smell fresh at all. I will never go there again. read more

The service is impeccable, the owners/staff are super friendly and the little details, that are atypical of what other dry cleaners do in this country, is what makes A-French Cleaners a cut above the rest. The details that have impressed me the most, are the inclusion of collar guards for dress shirts, handkerchiefs for suits and how they pin the sleeves of your shirts so as to minimize wrinkling. I was so happy to walk into a professional dry cleaning service and also alterations! Very happy customer.

They use good chemical's and claim to be 'green' but they don't recycle their hangers which is too bad. Customer service is a bit lower, but I can live with that because I hate that yucky recycled chemical smell and I have tried every dry cleaner in Morgan Hill. The owner's indeed are French, and I love to hear them talk. The husband (Alain sp?) is in my opinion rather arrogant. I have heard him having borderline arguments with customer's about not removing a stain that was already set. He was telling them it was their fault for not bringing it in sooner and not to blame him. Even though it was probably the truth he could've exercised some restraint. Needless to say, that customer will never come back (at least that's what she said)! I often use their seamstress there too with much success, a little costly but worth it. But one time, I had taken 2 pairs of pants to get taken in and when I got home, only one pair was taken in. So I went back and as I was waiting, the husband looked up at me and said to me in his gruff French accent-"WHAT! Not short enough?" What an a-hole, but it was funny at the same time. So I gruffly shot back, "NO! YOU didn't do YOUR job!" Which he replied a humble "Oh, okay". We've been going there for years, and since then, his wife is the one at the front counter now. read more

I got my prom dress hemmed here, and would never go back again or recommend it to anyone. I had to go in this place about 4-5 times just to get my dress right. The first time I went in they were very rude, the man never told me how much it was going to be and it ended up being $70 to cut a few inches off! The third time i had someone pick the dress up for me and when I tried it on it was completely longer on one side and looked horrible. I took it back in to have him fix it and he was a little accommodating because he knew he screwed up. While he was trying to fix it he made two large holes in the bottom of the dress. The final visit I went to pick up my dress once and for all, hoping that the holes were fixed he ended up taking another 2 in off. The final product looked fine but the stress and time for all this was not worth it. read more

They work very hard. I take my clothes here to be altered also. They do an excellent job. They are green and they do recycle the hangers. I have lived in Morgan Hill since 1996 and have switched dry cleaners probably 4 or 5 times since I've lived here. However, I have been with French Cleaners now the longest and will probably never change. At other dry cleaners in town, if something goes wrong or if an item goes missing or if there is damage to an item, the customer is always wrong. The owners usually argue about it. I've left dry cleaners in town because I've witnessed OTHER customers come in to talk about such things and the owners giving them a hard time. This is not good customer service. However, at French Cleaners, they are always very nice to me (I'm picky about that... customers provide your living after all), they always are on time with my dry cleaning and if I need something in a hurry, they will fast-track it for me. I've had several items that needed alterations as well, and they have done a very nice job at that too. Finally, they use organic cleaning materials. In a day and age where we have so many chemicals in our products, it's nice to know they are going the organic route. I highly recommend French Cleaners to anyone. read more

maybe you wouldnt treat me this way, but it was my girlfriend going in for me, and the way she described her experience inside was disgraceful. Ive ran a 5-star family business. Im assuming the women inside was your wife or sister or something. they took my clothes, after yelling about how it wasnt first thing in the morning, told us to return later in the day, when we returned 6-7 hours later, nothing was done and the women was yelling, and would switch languages and continue yelling as if my Girlfriend knew why she was so disturbed. Then ripped out my work clothes 1 by 1 from this laundry sack mixed with others items. My clothes had not 1 thing done to them. And were in worse condition then when i dropped them off. I will never be returning to your establishment. I Do not recommend to anyone looking for a simple, easy, luxurious dry-cleaning experience. If you want to feel as if you're a peasant burdening people with your laundry then go ahead. read more

They are "green cleaners". When waiting to get my clothes in other cleaners I read the signs that say, "The chemicals used cause cancer," etc. So what are the chemicals in my clothes doing to me when I am wearing them? Yuck. I like the fact they don't take phone calls ahead of people who took the time to come into the shop. They will take your number and call you when they are done with customers. The tailoring is very good, pricey, but you have to pay for quality. Not only are they eco friendly but also animal friendly. I like that they bring their dog to work. read more

I would not rate this place any stars. My boyfriend had taken one of his really nice suits here to be cleaned and upon picking it up, he had noticed they did not include the pants along with the jacket. When he had brought it to their attn they insisted that the pants must have fallen off the hanger and that he had lost them. They were extremely rude when speaking to him and wouldn't even offer a discount or his money back. They kept blaming him for trying to come up on a pair of their pants. If he needed a pair of pants that bad, he would just go buy them from a store and not try to get a pair from a cleaners. These people are very ridiculous and rude. I am very sensitive to odors and chemicals. When I'd get my sweaters back from my old dry cleaner, they reeked of chemicals. That's why I switched to the French Cleaners - my clothes don't have that awful odor anymore. They do alterations also. I have recommended this business time and time again because my wedding dress hemming went so well. I brought in a pair of pants to be hemmed, $6.50 and it was done. The hem came out the first time I wore them (no, my shoe did not get caught in the hem). I brought the pants back but since their system had gone down they had no record if it was left or right hem they fixed. Fine. I paid another $6.50 to have it hemmed again. Hem came out again (mind you at no point did ANYONE say to me that the pants they were hemming were not able to hold a hem due to the fabric, I would have saved my money). I brought it back thinking it would be under some sort of warranty but he said that it had to be within a month and no discount. Another $6.50 to hem it and it probably would come out again as the fabric wasn't suited for hemming. I had hand sewn my other pants with same fabric and it is just fine. So that is what I am doing...hemming my own pants and not coming back here or recommending them to anyone. If you want a dry cleaner that stands by their work, do not go here...you will be sorely disappointed. read more

I have used these rude people to dry clean and alter clothes quite a few times in the past 3 years. The quality of their work is mediocre at best. They once hemmed a brand new jumpsuit for me last minute, which was nice and huge since I usually get yelled at or told" NO" immediately when I walk in the door, but it came back to me with iron burn in the linen in the front of the leg. Aside from that, I've decided to write this because I cannot believe how incredibly rude both husband and wife are to their customers. I recently went in at 1pm on a weekday to have some jeans hemmed and was literally screamed at that I didn't have an appointment and it how stupid I was that I didn't read the sign on the door (that was propped wide open) that fittings were after 3:30pm. I have been told, almost every time, that they can't do what I'm asking, and only do when I push back because they are cleaners and I'm a smart gal that knows what cleaners can logically do.
