First and last time using this company. They switched the grooming appointment (online by text-not requesting the switch but stating appointment was being moved) two days prior to the appointment. Not terrible but worked around that. From a grooming standpoint our Mini Schnauzer's cut turned out to be extremely uneven in his beard and eyebrows. We asked for a little shorter skirt because it has a tendency to get matted and she gave him no skirt, which looked silly and it too was uneven. Overall, it was not a great cut and his nails were still pretty long after a request to shorten (careful they do not disclose everything up front as far as fees). From a business standpoint, there was a charge for everything that is not fully disclosed in their contract or website. Although they have separate areas they service on certain days they charge a trip charge of $25 no matter what...there is a credit card fee (not fully disclosed), there is a fee for trimming nails, and lots of other services normally included in a full groom/cut. After speaking with Karen, I asked her for a fully signed copy of the agreement (because she kept stating all the fees were in the online contract...); she said she could not access a fully signed copy of our agreement. At the end of going back and forth via text for 2 days, she offered to refund $2 or provide a credit $5 towards the next grooming. Um, no thank you to either. They groom my cat, and cat grooming itself is no easy task, but they make her (and me) very comfortable and at ease right away. This company has to be one of the worst grooming companies with which I've ever had to deal. It's obvious that they don't care anything about the dogs. They just want to do as quick of a groom as possible to move on to the next client. It's a chop shop! The awful service began last October. After waiting easily over a month for the appointment for my dogs, I received a call the day of the appointment from the groomer stating that the appointment would need to be canceled because they can't get in touch with the groomer. They tried to reschedule my appointment for another several weeks out. I find it ironic that if you don't cancel on them 24 hours in advance they charge you a trip charge or cancelation fee. I eventually argued with them and they found someone to send out hours late. The next appointment was an even worse situation. I scheduled another appointment with them after another groomer that I used went out of business due to COVID. The dogs were matted more than usual because they were off the usual grooming routine because of the situation that everyone is going through. At the time the appointment was made, months in advance because the Gentle Touch was booked that far out, the dogs were only slightly matted if at all at that time. Regardless, the groomer ended up having to shave the dogs because of that, and I was completely understanding. This is where things went really off the rails. Karen, the owner is the RUDEST person I've ever had to deal with in a groomer. After the groom, she literally told me that if my dogs were matted again, she would NOT GROOM THEM. What kind of groomer refuses to work with dogs if they're matted? Again, she SHAVED my dogs and was STILL complaining about having to groom them. In March 2021, I booked an appointment for June 12, 2021 for my dogs to get groomed again. Karen, the owner called me April 9th at 12:31pm (over two months ahead of my next appointment!) on a workday that she interrupted mostly to just COMPLAIN AGAIN about my dogs being matted. It was becoming clear that she was just wanting to fire us as customers and that she didn't want to groom our dogs anymore. She said something no groomer has EVER said to me. "Your dogs have the worst matting I've ever seen in 25 years!" Then proceeded to try to arbitrarily raise the price on my dogs for the next groom. I even agreed to the higher price. I find it deeply offensive that she implied we don't take care of our dogs. We treat them very well. The nail is the coffin was today, June 9th. I got a call again today from then company to ask if my dogs are matted. We told her "no" because they aren't. They're never usually matted. They were just off schedule last time because of Covid. Then, she made it impossible for us to agree to this next groom. She stated that if she had to brush the dogs out AT ALL then she would just shave them; which, I was not going agree with her that when it's not necessary. So, basically if she has to do her BASIC grooming job of brushing the dogs when they're not matted she is going to shave them! We got on a conference call to try to figure something out and it basically ended with her hanging up on us, which is really unprofessional. I don't recommended this company and it's obvious that they're cheaper for a reason. read more

Karen does a great job with our dogs! We have 3 big dogs and they all love her and enjoy their baths. She always puts cute bandannas on them and they are always happy to see her. She is so easy to work with and the dogs come back fresh and clean. I highly recommend her! read more

However, do not use this company for anything as one cannot guarantee they will get Haylie. Karen (the other groomer) is unprofessional and dishonest. We have never had any groomer behave like Karen. I called this company to inquire about scheduling weekly grooming services for my English Bulldogs. After leaving a message my call was returned by a lady (name I can't recall but sounded somewhat older). She asked what she could do for me (this was odd as I left a very detailed message regarding the services I was seeking). I inquired if they serviced my area she confirmed they did. I advised The Lady that I was seeking weekly grooming to include a bath, nail grinding and polish. Her initial reply should have been my sign to simply end the call after she enlightened me on how my address (the same one she indicated she serviced and that's literally less than 5 miles from the city she advertises her location) was out of the way and a weekly mileage charge would be assessed due to the distance. She went on to say there would need to be other customers in the area to make it worth their while. I asked if it would be possible to use my dogs personal shampoo as well as grind the toe nails vs cut. The Lady went into great detail to explain nail grinding was more expensive and time consuming vs no extra cost to clip the nail. I politely explained that I preferred the grinding method she then returned to get lecture the cost and how they have a procedure to stop bleeding whenever nails are cut down too far. She suggested their earliest available appointment was 6/21/21. I advised The Lady that I did need something earlier but agreed to book that day and assured her if I found an earlier accommodation I would phone her back to advise. The Lady indicated she would need a credit card to book the appointment. I refused to provide this outlandishly curt and unprofessional individual with any financial security via phone and politely informed her that I didn't feel comfortable with giving my credit card information over the phone. She immediately hung up. Hmmmm, I'm thinking The Lady clearly isn't aware that google hosts a plethora of mobile dog grooming companies and I'm sure most of which have far better 1st impressions. Regardless of how long you've been in business (The Lady made sure to inform me that they've been in business for several years) customer service should never be subtracted from your companies driving force. read more

After having a great first experience with their part-time groomer, Haylie, I advertised on my community NextDoor, arranged a time agreeable to all, and collected information from the 5 interested clients about the seven dogs needing to be groomed. The owner's mother, the office manager, was most unpleasant working with any of us and even changed the day to Sunday on short notice. The groomer arrived on time but forgot to text one of her clients that it was her turn & went home without seeing her 2 dogs. The client called the owner who blamed ME for giving them too many clients! Most businesses would thank you! I was given one price for my dog, $55, but charged almost $80! We have used them twice now on 3 dogs and have had a pleasant experience. We did have a small issue with one of the dogs being properly bathed but after I voiced my concern and spoke to them they fixed the issue. Our golden has a ton of hair and skin issues so we had to have them come back and rebathe her. They were very courteous when I spoke to them and very quick to remedy the issue. I will definitely use them again and recommend their services. He did a great job on shaving our doxi/pom mix. He looks so cute! read more

I called to book an appointment for my dog a few weeks ago. The day of, they never showed so I called back to find out what was going on and they claimed that I never replied to the confirmation call or text. However, I never received any call or text. I tried explaining this and got zero sympathy or understanding from the owner. I asked what number she was calling and she never gave me a response. She blamed me for everything and even charged me $25 for cancelling. I asked for a refund since I never cancelled but she said it was policy. It was horrendous customer service. Do not use this company, there is no concern for the client. The owner said, "Well, this ain't my fault." I know I didn't say my phone number incorrectly, so she must have recorded it incorrectly. Shifting the blame to the customer is one way to destroy a business. Buyer beware. read more

Update- The first time our Lhasa apso had a rash which later turned to a staph infection. We had changed some things in his diet and gave the benefit that this was something we did. A few months later we used the same groomer and we had the same problem and a grooming job that had lines everywhere. After calling the groomer to ask what she did that may have caused a rash and about the grooming job, I was given the excuse that he has curly hair and it's impossible to not have lines and his rash was not from unsanitary tools, maybe due to a hot razor. They agreed to a refund and then tried to get the upper hand and say 'we can't do your pet again.' Which is fine, I don't need someone negligent with a bad attitude touching my puppies. read more

Do not use this groomer. I would not give any stars if I could. They arrived more than an hour late with no call ahead, text or update on arrival after making the appt 3 weeks earlier. I got an estimate after a lengthy conversation when making the appt of $85.00. My dog did not get the trim I asked for and the back hind legs cut is so choppy I will have to call another groomer to fix what was done and the areas that were not groomed. Along with that it took only 35 minutes, our dog arrived back wet because we were told the flea dip needed to be wet which no other groomer has ever done. Insult to injury the bill was $97.43, Over $12.00 higher than the estimate. and more than I have ever paid for a mobile groomer. This was such bad service and overall a bad experience. Not a great way to get a new customer. We will never use this groomer again. After spending a few $ under $100 I have to get another groomer to fix what was done. I was so happy to find a local groomer who works with cats. So hard to find this service in Irving! Ms. Elaine was very helpful in scheduling the service over the phone. Karen came to our home right on time, in her awesome pink mobile grooming truck. She was gentle with our cats, and did a fantastic job with our Maine Coon. His lion cut looks awesome! If I could leave a zero star review, I would. I booked an appointment with this company for a Wednesday afternoon and nobody showed up. After an hour, I called and was told that the female groomer I'd used before wasn't coming. There was no explanation given as to why. The receptionist asked if I wished to reschedule. I'd previously used this service with a good result, so I decided go ahead and reschedule. A young man came to the door around 3:30 pm on a Saturday and took my 10 month old goldendoodle. I was told it would take 30- 45 mins. After over 90 mins in the grooming van, I started to get worried, and I texted the number to the groomer and asked if everything was okay. No one responded. That's when I noticed another car had pulled up. After almost 2 hours, the young man and and older female groomer I'd previously used came out of the van carrying my dog. The female groomer proceeded to tell me that the dog needed to be groomed more often because someone with "experience" needs to groom her since her fur was starting to get matted. She was extremely rude and scolded me for waiting too long between groomings. She was very argumentative and condescending. After they left, I noticed blood all over my rugs and floor. They had cut her paw and didn't tell me. It was apparent that the male groomer was very inexperienced and needed help so he called the female to help him. They clearly knew that the dog's paw was cut and didn't tell me.This is verified by her response to my text (I sent her the pic of my dog's bleeding paw). The whole experience was awful. I hope this review will help others avoid a company that clearly needs to hire experienced groomers who are honest and don't just care about collecting their fee. The terrible customer service was not what I expected from all of the positive reviews. The pictures below speak for themselves. Clearly it was not a "teddy bear" cut.
