I would NOT drop my dogs at Pet Paradise in Las Colinas. I arrived to pick up my two puppies, as scheduled at 0700, on Friday, June 27th. The staff had been locked outside since 0530 and was standing there like idiots - only one young woman out of SIX seemed concerned that the dogs were locked inside alone. They reported they had called their manager repeatedly and knocked on her door - no response. At 0800, I finally called the Irving Fire Department to rescue my dogs and all the other animals in the building. They arrived with two trucks, a chief and two police cars. The firemen had to threaten to break down the door of the manager apartment to get her to open the door. There were 11 other customers who were equally as pissed off - several stormed off and I was shocked at the few that stayed and left their dogs knowing the situation. All the dogs had been unattended for more than 12 hours. My dogs were not bathed as scheduled. They reeked of urine and stool and were full of anxiety. The policy of the animals being unattended at night is unsafe and not what I am paying for. The manager not showing up to work amplified an already dangerous situation. I was told by the young woman that checked me out I would be contacted about a refund as she felt I deserved this. I have heard from no one at PP. read more

Absolutely the worst grooming experience ever. I booked through the app, got a confirmation, showed up, and was told the groomer "doesn't work Sundays." They rescheduled me with a discount, but when I came back, it wasn't even a full grooming--just head and paws. To make it worse, the person wasn't even a real groomer, just "in training," and no professional groomer was available. Totally unprofessional, a waste of time, and I will never bring my dog here again. The prices here have NOTHING to do with the service you get. I have taken my Golden Doodle, Chase, to Pet Paradise Las Colinas, all his life. He's 4! He had to have his right leg amputated, due to a failed hip replacement. Their groomer, Menico, did a fantastic job grooming him for us, every 3 weeks, even as a Tripod! When Menico retired, I took him to their new groomer, Sam, which was a huge mistake! After she had him 3-1/2 hours, she called to say she couldn't groom him! I picked him up wet and totally stressed out! I tried calling her multiple times after that, because she said if I would let her try again, she would get him in and out as her 1st appointment, so he didn't get so tired. She wouldn't even give me the courtesy of a call back! I ended up taking him to Cutie Pie Pet Groomers in Coppell, which did an amazing job with him! His well being was their main concern. They gave him breaks, made sure was relaxed and happy throughout the process, and he looked absolutely adorable when I picked him up! He scored a new stuffed toy on the way out and seemed like a happy puppy! Definitely will never trust my baby with Sam at Pet Paradise again! read more

I am so sad to be writing this review, my pup has loved pet paradise for almost two years now but lately things have gone down hill. Pick up and drop off take 30-40minutes and I even had one girl walk back out and say they couldn't find my dog just to have to call another employee to frantically look in all of the kennels. I have had food come back that was portioned per day that should've been given and day report that were never written. To top it all off we got this notice today (see attached photo) my dog is 3yr old and has had several medical problems that has made it where we are unable to get him neutered. We have actively been working with our vet to get this done but now we are being charged an extra $20 because he isn't allowed in daycare. (which I totally understand since he is not fixed) Since he is not a daycare dog we are told that he gets serval walks a day and time in the yard by himself but we have never seen proof that is the case such as written reports, verbal reports upon pick up or even checking in on the cameras. This place use to be fabulous and I just can't say that anymore. We took Rocket here for almost a year before we were told we weren't allowed back after being 8 minutes late to pick him up on a Sunday. When my husband Josh dropped Rocket off that morning, the manager Roger told Josh they were overbooked (had 150 dogs there that day) and that they couldn't guarantee Rocket any time outside. I was very upset to hear this from Josh (and would've taken Rocket elsewhere if we hadn't had an appointment to get to) and had initially planned to ask for a discount for the day in light of all this, but I decided to drop it since we were 8 minutes late picking Rocket up. When I got there to pick up Rocket (we called on the way there), Roger curtly and impolitely told me we had to pick our dog up on time. Roger told me he was struggling to get a dog his medication, implying that was my fault for being late to get Rocket (I'm not sure how being late means he can't give a dog its medication, but it certainly reinforces the concerns I had that they weren't capable of giving my dog his Heartguard chew when we boarded him). I was pretty taken aback, particularly given what had happened that morning, and I said so. Roger told me that since I didn't like his services, I couldn't come back ever again. Given how extreme and bizarre Roger's terrible customer service was, we figured he was just stressed over having to attend to overpacked dog kennels and figured he'd go back to normal on Tuesday, 6/1. Nope. He told my husband he would take Rocket the rest of the week but that I wasn't allowed to pick him up (had I known this, I would've told my husband to bring him home and never leave him there again, since I'm not leaving my fur baby with a man who says he'll hold him hostage from me). That night, I went to cancel all future reservations online (so I could stop getting notifications and to ensure I wouldn't be charged), but Roger had already blocked my account, and I couldn't do so. The way Roger acted, you would think I'd cussed him out or done something violent. I just had a bit of an attitude because the guy who'd said he would be doing a terrible job taking care of my dog that day was giving me grief about being 8 minutes late, when he'd never given me any kind of warning before. Roger letting the place get overbooked was not the first time my dog didn't get enough time outside, contrary to the employees telling me he'd get three hours/day outside, even during daycare (he usually gets nowhere close to that). There were several times where staff didn't take him out for hours in the afternoon and Rocket peed everywhere (a LOT of pee) when we picked him up. We tried asking them several times to take him outside when we were on our way there (we'd call and let them know), but they didn't make an effort to stick with this. It's a shame this is the only doggie daycare place in Las Colinas. I'm hoping that, now that it's the "busy season" and more people are back at work, more places will open up nearby and give this place competition so that Roger/Pet Paradise can get their comeuppance when people leave for something better (i.e., good customer service and not a hoarding situation). I had lodged my dog with Pet Paradise in the past & then moved and tried out a different facility vs Pet Paradise since it was closer.. the other facility was a terrible experience for both my dog and myself.. so terrible that I left my trip early to get back to him sooner.. that particular facility- he came home lethargic( I'm still not convinced they gave him a sedative & little to no water & he came home clearly traumatized) so I went back to Pet Paradise in Las Colinas even though it's a bit further.. bc every single time he had stayed with them in the past he came back happy, tail wagging, & exactly himself. Upon entering Pet Paradise, even though it had been over a year since he had stayed with them- we were both greeted immediately, Dayna was very friendly & assured me he would be well taken care of after hearing of his previous lodging experience & gave me her card telling me how to reach front desk, if needed. Dayna made me feel very good about leaving him in their care.. they hit every single point! His progress reports (forever connected- totally worth it!!!) were super detailed and I know his expressions, I wasn't the only one on vacation!! He was as well!! I called a couple times on top of that to check on him they answered both times(which the other facility I had tried you could not get through unless you assigned yourself as a new client) checked on him right then and there & they let me know he wasn't eating as he should so asked which toppers they could add his second day of stay. & that did the trick!! When I picked him up this afternoon, he was happy, tail wagging & seemed to like Megan a lot!! She was one of the girls I spoke with when I called and so very friendly!! When we left he was upright in the car acting just like he always does. It's so important to find the right place to care for our fur babies!! Look no further than Pet Paradise. It's worth the drive for me to take bc it seems like they not only genuinely care about our pups but focus on providing quality care(at a reasonable price) to our pups so that our pups don't focus on the fact that we are away from them.. I will be looking no where else for dog lodging as they have made this experience(& every other previous experience in the past) a wonderful one for both Derby & me!! read more

For how much Pet Paradise charges, I was unfortunately very disappointed with the service we received. During my trip, I checked on my dog via the web cam service consistently, and he got maybe 15 minutes of play time twice a day, which is far less than what Pet Paradise promises. This upset me but I decided not to complain because I figured they were busy. When I came to pick my dog up, he looked visibly thinner, was squealing for water in the car (he drank a whole bottle and then more when we got home), and then ate like he hadn't had food in days. He also smelled awful, which surprised me because other boarders I've used at this price point always bathe your pets before you pick them up. It just was not a $47 a night service. It's TRUE! They keep your fur babies locked in a cage with no play. This is unacceptable. I requested a same day reservation as Diego wanted to play and burn some energy. THEY ACCEPTED MY REQUEST. Get their at 945am, wasnt greeted! It was a stare down contest until she said dropping off. Customer service is truly extinct. I made it my business to watch the cameras today and guess what? He did not get any play time. I called and spoke to the same girl who wanted to make sure I was dropping off (she was pleasant this go round) and she claims he went out and had play time from 12-1230. I had the camera up at 11:47. The lies!!! The deceit!!! The audacity!!!! Furthermore she tells me they are overbooked with 154 dogs. Why was my request accepted?? And again unacceptable!! Then she say he is schd to go back out from 2/230. Again watching and nothing. Same dogs that were playing earlier, were out. my baby nowhere in site. I am highly upset and disturbed. That being said, when he had his meet and greet play time he came back with a scratch ball m his stomach. I kno the boys can be rough and rowdy however awareness/communication would have been nice. I absolutely love this place and I'm so excited that I found! If you searching for an outstanding doggie daycare this is it, Pet Paradise was one of the top that came up in my search box and I'll grateful it did. It was very easy for me to call in and set up an account for my dog. The entire staff is super professional, friendly, and has a huge heart for dogs! Georgia is the first person that I met when my dog arrived! Georgia came out and gave my puppy so much love and care that when I left I knew my pup was in great hands! The facility is super clean, they open up at 6:30 AM Monday through Friday and close at 7 PM Monday through Friday. They have a on-site grooming facility as well with friendly staff that treats all the pets with the most love in the world! Be sure that if you do come here, make sure your doggy bag is packed with treats and food so that your dog can eat throughout the day. There is an inside area for dogs to play when it rains or is cold outside! And then obviously when the temperature is right they go outside and play and have fun in the sun! This review is for grooming only. Our previous pooch was groomed by Meneco at Pet Paradise and we LOVED her. She was incredibly patient with him because he sometimes would pull an attitude and become grouchy. Not with Meneco! I think she really put him at ease and treated him so kindly. Our little guy passed away about 3 years ago and we just weren't ready to give love to a new furry baby until last December. Once she was ready for grooming, it was impossible to get an appointment with Meneco. She books up QUICKLY- yikes! I had to take her to another groomer and I was not happy with the results. I decided to take a day off from work and took advantage by booking a grooming appointment far in advance. Fast forward to yesterday. Of course, Verda Belle was not thrilled when she walked into Pet Paradise. The dogs barking seemed to frighten her and she is super shy with humans. As soon as we walked in, Meneco was at the front desk. I said hello and that I used to bring a previous furry baby to her named... and then she finished my sentence with his name! What?! I was amazed that she remembered me! I loved that! Like I said, Verda Belle is shy and some times potties when she is scared. Meneco literally got down on the floor and talked to her, which my dog loved. Pretty soon, Meneco was holding her. Damn, she is like a dog whisperer! You have no idea how much that put my mind at ease. I was called as soon as she was ready to go home and she looked AMAZING! She was actually happy and wagging her tail. Let me tell you, she pranced out of there like she was a diva! I also want to compliment the gal at the front desk who took my info. They have 1 indoor play room and 2 outdoor/covered play areas. I love that they have webcams, so during play time, you can watch your pup on an app from your phone. The app is only $1.99/month and such an added perk to be able to see how your furry friend is enjoying their day. I have 2 small dogs, a mini-schnauzer and a malte-poo, that have been boarded at another place over the years. I decided to make a change and try Pet Paradise after seeing the great reviews here on Yelp and so glad I did so! Oh, but I was soooo very nervous, acting like an unnecessarily overprotective parent when I went to drop them off for their stay. The owner personally talked to me and completely eased my worries, never making me feel silly for all my comments and questions. They have free webcam you can view online, which I would view sporadically while on my trip. I received an email with a pic of my dogs and an honest report of how they were doing.... I knew it was honest as one of my dogs doesn't like to socialize with other dogs, just people, which I had not mentioned, but they noted. I felt so much better getting that email from them! They didn't try to sell me on grooming...I asked of they has grooming, which they do. So, I asked for them to "try* to groom my mini-schnauzer BC other groomers have had issues. Amazingly, my little girl came out looking so pretty and mat-free! Not only that, but they said she was really good...no issues at all! My other dog was clean as if he had been with me all week and not boarded at all...if you know what I mean? Some boarders return dogs to you smelling and looking a little worse for the wear. Last, I can tell when my schnauzer isn't happy. She mopes, gives me dirty looks, and won't give me kisses. When I got them home, they ran around playing for a solid 15 minutes before passing out. And, I got lots of kisses. I have some happy dogs, so I know they were treated very well! I am definitely coming back for both boarding and grooming and highly recommend others do, too. read more

I called and walked into Pet Paradise on two occasions to ask the staff if they are able to provide insulin medication to my kitty. Both times I was told yes the manager administers insulin to all the diabetic pets that stay at Pet Paradise Las Colinas. I then went ahead and booked a stay for my kitty over the weekend as I was going out of town. Fast forward to the morning I drop off my kitty, I go in and speak to the front desk staff and show them that I've brought his insulin/injections. They nod and agree to taking the insulin and my kitty into the cat room. Thankfully I requested to talk to a manager to double check that my cat was in good hands. When I spoke to the manager she flatly said "no we don't administer insulin to pets here"! Ummmm?!??? Are you kidding me? If I didn't request to speak to the manager my poor kitty would've gone to the cat room and I would've left for vacation without him having anyone to give his insulin. Thank god I spoke to the manager because the front desk staff has absolutely no clue what the rules/regulations are. They are sooo lost and confused all the time(as I have dropped my car here before he was diabetic). I had two hours before my flight and had to run around and find a place to keep my cat for the weekend. They left me in a panic and ruined my vacation! Took him back to get more information on what happened but told by the staff that it can't be their fault and claimed my dog must did him that to himself and they won't do anything about it. I understand accidents happen or even maybe he was sick to his stomach,but the amount of dog s**t on my dog was ridiculous. They sent updates every day and did not mention anything. We thought it was ok to board here since we use them for daycare some times,but we now see that was a mistake. This place is trash. I called to talk to a manager and of course she was incompetent. Ready to play Russian roulette with your baby's life? Than Pet Paradise is the place for You! I'll keep it short. The attached picture is from when I picked my in-laws and my best friends dog Buster from the vet in the middle of his stay at Pet Paradise. He's lost his eye sight in that eye forever. Pet Paradise has been great to work with! Despite cameras everywhere, there's no video and nobody know what happened despite being "supervised playtime". Vet said his eye was popped out of socket for at least 5 hrs. PP said the would help with bill but since my mother in law got caught in Hurricane Harvey and was 2 days late to a follow up vet appointment 2 months later, PP told us they are relieved of any and all payment. Additionally, we've been held to all boarding costs. What EXELLECENT customer service. So go ahead and take your pet there if your willing to take the risk with your baby's life. This place is outstanding. Great facility, very affordable, friendly service. I dropped my dog here for his first ever doggie daycare experience and they were very understanding and patient with me. I called several times to check on him (I couldn't get the doggie cam to work on my work network) and they gave me a good update. They also offer grooming and boarding services so we took advantage and got his nails trimmed. Everyone was so friendly and they obviously love animals. Drop-off and pick off were quick and easy and they're open 6:30 am to 7 pm so it's very easy for working people. I wanted socialization and stimulation for my dog and he certainly got it here. We've taken our husky and boston terrier for day care and boarding (5 nights) a couple times over the past month or so and have had great experiences with the staff and reservation process at this Pet Paradise location. You can view the pet cams for free on the website (via pc) or iphone for a small subscription fee. I was kinda bummed at the fee, but there's an option for like $6/year so in reality it's not a big deal. During their last boarding stay, we added a bath for the husky which included a nail trim and quick brush. I do wish she brushed for a while longer, but I understand the groomer is on a time limit also. He came home smelling great! What sets PP apart from the one other boarding/daycare place we've tried is that they are proactive and call us whenever something unexpected happens. We received one call about the husky throwing up his food (they stressed it was just food) and that they'd watch him closer afterwards. There was another call about the husky's behavior and how he didn't seem to jive with one other dog. They ended up just splitting them up into different play groups and no other issues happened. It's extra cute because your pups come home with a report card after their day of play. read more
