I decided on this place for Miss Lola after reading their reviews here and on Google. We did NOT want to go back to Petsmart after the last groom and I wanted someone who could be gentle with Lola. I liked how other reviewers mentioned how well they do with small dogs, and Yorkies in particular. They were very professional and very nice as well on the phone, so we decided to take a chance. (I don't remember the lady's name at the front desk, even though she told me, so I apologize!!!) Front desk lady asked me how I wanted Lola's hair and I said short cut lol. She asked me some other questions about the cut and I had no idea what she meant. She then pulls out a photo book of dogs and their cuts (much like the hair cut & style books you see in hair salons!) and starts pointing to different cuts! I asked her about the photos and she said all the pets in the book are their clients and they do holidays photos every year. I was SOLD lol!!! After all the questions were answered she took Lola away to the back and Lola looked like she was with an old friend (aww). The grooming seemed to take forever but I know how my dog acts...when I came back to get her, she wasn't even happy to see me at first! Lola was just hanging out with her old friend!!! However, Lola looked fantastic! They even managed to get a bow in her hair, and offered to spray her with doggie cologne. We will definitely be back soon. I just came from this grooming of pets location! The groomer is very professional and courtesy. Her prices are very reasonable and her hours are conducive to those who work during the day or who get off from work in the early mornings. My pet got a teddy bear cut at a cost of 60 dollars! She was in by 7 am and done by 1 pm. The hair cut looked great on my animal and she seemed happy upon pick up! People with pets that need a groomer in the southern sector of Dallas County give her your business. She is worth it! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I've gone to Connie for the past year to have my fur baby groomed. The last time I took him he got a bad cut I didn't complain I let the bad cut grow out. Today I took him to get cut and specifically met with Connie and explained the previous problem and asked her please do not cut his tail at all. The entire tail has been cut more than the previous time. Connie tells my husband the next cut is free. This cut should have been free you did the very opposite of what I asked. Connie did make it right the following day and refund me for the cut. read more

I have been taking my little yorkie here for grooming and today we tried out the doggie daycare. I like the work they do when I get my pup groomed. I feel safe leaving her in their care. I feel they care about my pet. I think they do a good job. I have been pleased the times I have taken her for grooming. Today we tried out daycare. They only take smaller dogs here. Which I really like! My pup needs some other dog interaction. I liked that they recognized that this first interaction with other dogs might have been too much. So they moved my yorkie with another yorkie so that my pup wouldn't be so stressed with the other dogs. I am very pleased with the business I have done here. The prices are fair. I think I will have a long business relationship here at Karla's grooming. read more

Ms Connie at the front desk is very informative. She really cares about your pets. I have anxiety about leaving my pom with other groomers after seeing what happened to those other dogs at the other grooming place that I will not name. I don't worry when I drop her off there. I literally ask her everything, including about my dogs eating habit and attitudes. She will talk with you as long as you like. And answer as many questions or concerns that you may have. I wish they were open on weekends though. read more

Stay Away!!! This place is super dirty and disgusting. I did not notice how unkept the place was when I dropped off my dog in the AM. (Only noticed after waiting for 30 mins in the lobby when dog had been in the owners possession for 8 hours). After my giving specific instructions on how to cut my dog, the owner did not listen and gave my dog a basic buzz cut. My poor dog stay in this filthy place for over 8 hours only to have a haircut that I could have given with my own clippers. This owner does not care about appearances. If the owner cared, there would not be poop greeting you in the flower beds as you come into the establishment. Pee in the front lobby simmering. Additionally, dust, dog hair and trash all over the place. The Dust / Dog hair was a least 2 inches piled high on all of the surface as far as the eye can see (look behind the counter). Dirty /Mudding Doors and entry way floors. If the front lobby looks like this, I can only Imagine what the back of the house looks like. Save your hard own money and go elsewhere. The fact this place was super dirty only leads me to believe that the owner does not care about her business, which mean she certainly does not care about your dog well-being and appearance. read more

Connie is a loving, caring lady and our dogs have always been treated very well. Our elderly golden retriever loved her baths & the blow-drier. Our little Cavalier King Charles can easily become a matted mess, but Karla's has her spiffed up and happy in no time. Their prices are reasonable, and a lot of care goes into both the grooming and treatment of our pets. We'll always bring our pets here. read more
