Cute little shop run by a husband-and-wife team. It was our first visit, and my Phoenix was made to feel right at home. Just got my puppy Cooper groomed here, and they did an awesome job! The whole process was great. Very friendly when I first called, and was able to get my puppy in the next day. The staff here is awesome. They really want to help the animals and make sure the owners are happy as well. She was very caring for my puppy, especially after we had a terrible half haircut at the Petsmart in Euless. Never go there. Always come here. I will be only using this salon for my puppies. :) read more

I took my Standard Poodle yesterday and got her back WITHOUT A SILLY HAIRCUT! She was professionally groomed and did not come out smelling like a teenage boy who got a bottle of cologne for Christmas. Plus she came out happy with a bounce in her step, a very very different attitude than she had with a previous groomer. Great shop, we'll be back. read more

I am 49. I've never not had dog(s) in my life, so needless to say I've been to groomers all across America. My dogs let me know what they like and the 5 dogs I have brought here over the last 8 yrs love this place, no fear, no anxiety at all. They do a great job and the doggies look like they should be headed off to a competition they are so well groomed. Kind of a funky building. Prices are fair. If you are new to the area, this is the place to bring your furry baby. read more

Tammy was amazing! It was our first trip in and tried my best to explain the length we wanted for our dog. He looks great! I was even able to get a same day appointment at the last minute. Definitely our new go to groomer instead of Pet Smart. Local business, helpful staff, and dog is now happy with his summer cut. read more

John Paul pet grooming has been owned and operated by the same family for over 40 years. I have been taking by pets to them for almost that long. They have always been outgoing and warm to me. My babies have always looked good after grooming and if there was any problems they were resolved to my satisfaction. My babies were always happy to go to Tammy, the owner, and playful though tired when they got home. I have moved several times but always make the time to travel to John Pauls. read more

Don't take your pets there, I had a bad experience last Thursday. The main lady told me she accidentally cut my dog, I didnt really paid attention, but 10min after I got home my dog had a seizure. I didn't understood why, I checked her under leg and she had a deep cut which in my point of view didn't looked like an "accident". I went back and she didnt wanted to return the money back, and she instead offered a discount for the next appointment which is ridiculous if she even thinks we'll be back!! After that I took my dog to the animal hospital which on our way she had another seizure in less than an hour, the vet told me it was caused because of stress that might have been caused by how the groomer might have treated her! read more

Our poor fur baby was butchered and traumatized at PetSmart, so John Paul's had an uphill battle trying to "fix" her. But they did it! Not only did she look wonderful, she was happy and content. You could just tell they treated her wonderfully and they really knew what they are doing. Thank GOODNESS we found someplace that is professional, talented, and obviously loves dogs! We will be back again ... and again!!! read more

In that awful moment, they were compassionate, gentle, and present. I will always be grateful for that. But sadly, the care and kindness stopped there. When I returned to pick up her remains, the experience couldn't have felt more different. The front desk person was on the phone, which I understand--clinics are busy places. But while I stood there, barely holding myself together, I could hear and see three staff members in the back laughing loudly and carrying on, who had clearly seen me. I waited in silence for ten long minutes before one of them finally shouted from the back room, asking, "Do you need something?" I was in pieces. I wasn't about to yell across rooms for my pet's ashes. Eventually, one woman came out. She looked annoyed, rolled her eyes, handed me a small bag, and turned around and walked away. No words. No eye contact. No compassion. Just... ouch. That moment hurt. It still hurts. After everything, that final goodbye felt cold, rushed, and disrespectful. I understand people have off days, but this wasn't a moment for carelessness. I hope this feedback is taken to heart, because grieving pet parents deserve tenderness and dignity from beginning to end.
