If you've ever tried to heave heavy debris three feet up into a trailer bed versus rolling it into a ground-level dumpster, you understand why this matters. When I called to sort it out, the rep (a guy named Kevin) initially told me they only rent roll-off dumpsters -- until he talked to the local contractor and then suddenly decided a trailer counted as my 10-yard dumpster. Make it make sense. I asked to escalate. He said he was the top of the chain. I asked if he owned the company. He said no. I pointed out that meant someone above him existed. Didn't matter -- I got nowhere. His solution? Keep the trailer and he'd throw in an extra $500 credit or two more days. Neither of which helps when the problem is the type of container, not the price or the time. He refused a straightforward discount. And if I returned it? Still on the hook for a $250 trip fee. Do yourself a favor -- Google local dumpster companies in your area and call one directly. You'll know exactly what's showing up and who to call if it doesn't.

This is by far the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Cami who took my order gave me the dimensions of the bin I was going to receive as 4' x 8' x 16'. I verified these dimensions with her three times during our phone call. She told me that I had to pay an extra $125 to have it delivered on Saturday which was the only day they had available before my crew is coming to help me clean out my garage. They charged my credit card for the full amount of $594 for the bin including 1000 pounds of trash for a week including the $125 that I had to pay to have it delivered on Saturday. Then Friday afternoon I got a call from them saying he was on his way and he would be there in 45 minutes. When he arrived he had a 2' x 8' x 16' bin on his truck so I told him that it wasn't the one I ordered and I couldn't use it since the level of my garbage would be far beyond 2 feet high. I had some tall stuff that needed to be disposed of from my garage and he said he didn't work for Affordable Dumpster rentals that he worked for another company and they booked the delivery through his company so they made the mistake. I called and got Antonio on the phone and was told if I refused the delivery I would have to pay a refusal charge. I told him I wasn't gonna pay a refusal charge because I didn't make a mistake. We argued for 20 minutes while he told me that Cami had told me the dimensions incorrectly and that she also said they were about 4' x 8' x 16'. She never said it was going to be 2 feet high or even that it could be 2 feet high or I wouldn't have ordered it. So today is Monday and I received a call from them after I requested a full refund telling me that I would only receive $219 back and then I was going to have to pay $375 for a refusal fee. I explained to George that I wasn't willing to pay that because I didn't make the mistake. We argued for 20 minutes and I finally just hung up after I told him I was going to sue them for the rest plus damages for harassment and failing to follow through with their side of the bargain.
