We needed a 40 yd bin for a demolition waste of a 2 BD / 2 BA / 1000 SQFT SFR. Debris Box delivered the bin and conveniently positioned it in the driveway. Easy accessible. There pricing and 2 week rental policy is very competitive, and worth considering. It was disappointing that some inconsiderate neighbors dumped a few hundred pounds of waste into our bin - which ended up costing us a $500 for the weight overage. DRIVERS BEWARE! While driving on the 163, a white large dumpster on a truck was completely uncovered and many various items were flying out of the dumpster. One of these items hit my windshield and caused significant damage where my windshield had to be replaced. Upon contacting the company (Debris Box), the "investigator" of the incident James Smith was unwilling to help me come to a resolution regarding the damage his company caused to my windshield. James was all ready to regurgitate a lie that I could have written myself. James claimed that this large dumpster was carrying "foam" and was "empty". It sure wasnt empty, and sure wasnt carrying foam, because it was spilling out all over onto the freeway. James was arrogant, had zero ability to take responsibility for his company's careless business practices, and it appeared that this was not his first complaint regarding road debris. The automatic deceitful lie of foam and an empty dumpster is something he must tell all the others that complain about their careless business practices. The dumpster should have been covered and secure since there was trash and debris flying all over the place from it. This was a clear violation of state vehicle code laws. It is nothing short of malpractice & negligence on this company to allow their driver to put many others on the freeway at risk with no cover. We have used Debris Box 5 times in the past two months to rent 4-yd bins for demolition waste. There isn't any place for a large dumpster. The staff and delivery guys have been friendly and helpful. The delivery guy pushed the bin into the garage which made it more convenient to fill and kept it off the street. I offered him a tip for being helpful but he didn't accept it and just wanted a handshake with a smile. They are very quick with delivery and pickup. I don't know if it is an issue but we are usually surprised by how much we are over the 800lb base weight allowance and have to pay $17 / 100lb over. read more

This was our first time using Debris Box, I have used another company in the past. Kevin was extremely helpful in getting everything set up and very informative as to what we could and could not put in the dumpster. Debris Box allows concrete and other materials that other companies would not allow, this was awesome. I had to make a couple of changes once the dumpster was ordered, and we had a couple of hiccups, but Kevin took care of us! I will definitely use Debris Box again, and I highly recommend them! A word of advice: please know that when you rent a dumpster, they weigh it afterwards, and you most likely will be charged more (this is how ALL dumpster rental companies work). I was jacked around by another dumpster company and called Greg at Debris Box and he set me up with a 10 yard lowboy for my concrete disposal. He explained that if concrete was clean with no steel, it would be one price but if there was steel in the concrete it would be a higher price. Got lowboy out to me that day for my next day demo of my driveway. No steel, clean concrete, so I got the cheaper price. Dropped off on a Thursday and picked up on Monday. I just had a horrible experience with Debris Box. One of their drivers was driving on the 52 and a rock flew out of one of their boxes and broke the windshield of my truck. I called them trying to get the matter resolved and spoke with James. He could not have been ruder and refused to take any responsibility. He claimed it was a road hazard and that all vehicles face it and even proceeded to pontificate on some BS story about when he was driving behind one of his competitors how their trucks broke his windshield and they didn't claim responsibility. If that ever happened, I will eat my hat!! I will never do business with this company because I do not like working with people who #1 are not nice and #2 will not take responsibility for their actions. I could only imagine what their reaction would be if they broke something on my property delivering or picking up a bin. Low Brow, Low Class and not worthy of doing business with. Great communicators! From the start, I got honest prices for varying sizes of containers I could get. I was not totally sure the big size that I wanted would fit in my driveway. These guys have a service where they will come to your house and survey your land to see what size will fit... If you need them to. I asked them to call me when they were on their way. They called. Perfect. My driveway is tricky and the driver went out of his way to make the debris box work for me. Very skilled placement. I had the box for the advertised 14 days and called to schedule a pick up of the full container... Again... No problems making an appointment. They called when they were on their way, as requested. So happy to be rid of my junk and they made it easy and stress free. Peter was the person who called me each time. Very professional, honest, and accommodating. The day after my box had already been picked up, Peter called me with an update. I had gone over 0.49 pounds. I like the accuracy. And I was charged for that amount, not for a full ton for being over. Excellent. I tried other companies before them, but the communication was always bad. Other companies promised a certain size of dumpster, but brought out something different. Debris box and Peter specifically were very helpful. read more

James is The most unprofessional guy I have ever met in my life. A total rip off. He came and looked at my dirt, told me don't include tree branches and stumps and it was ok for the truck to be delivered for dirt removal and then when it was pick up day he tells me it's gonna cost an additional $750 on top of my $465 to recycle the dirt. He is dishonest and a total jerk yelling at me over the phone. What kind of sales associate yells at their customers. I was going to use multiple roll off bins from them but as of now they have yet to take away the one they just left on my front lawn. Terrible customer service. I am horrified with their business. My name is Pete Manos. I have been in the business for a good while. But never have used these guys because I am usually working in a city were I am forced to use a bigger company. I was working in Lake Side and was able to use them. I guess some of the smaller guys can only work in unincorporated cities that doesn't make much sense to me. You think it would be nice to be able to choose who you want to use but I guess San Diego likes monopolies. Any ways this is the best dumpster company I have ever used in San Diego. Also on the plus side it was nice having a driver that could stop on a dime and maneuver his truck like a pro and also speak clear English So there was no communication problems. WARNING!!! RIP OFF!!! BE AWARE!!! STAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN FORM THIS "BUSINESS" Got their box to remove paver debris at my home in RSF. Rate was good and called them on Friday and they promised to bring box in Saturday. Asked the guys to bring plywood to not scratch my driveway. Got the box on Saturday, no plywood. My wife found old carton boxes and we used them instead. Monday morning they came to pick loaded (5-6 tons) box. Got a call from them and rate from $480 suddenly raised to $770!!! Because I misinformed them about my debris!!! What a BS, they new what I'm loading and they new it's a paver tiles with old thinset and grout. I UNDERSTOOD THEIR SYSTEM: THEY GIVE YOU GOOD RATE, ONCE YOU LOAD THE CONTAINER (ITS' A DEBRIS CONTAINER AND LOADING IS EXPENSIVE) THEY CHANGE THE RATE AND THEN YOU HAVE OPTION TO ACCEPT THE RATE OR UNLOAD THE CONTAINER WHILE YOU ALREADY PAID FOR IT'S LOADING. VERY TRICKY AND SMART IN A BAD WAY((( I declined higher rate and their "manager" blamed me in being tricky and cheater.
