Please read before considering AHA Our experience with AHA has been absolutely terrible. Their original work was poorly done, full of mistakes, and Travis has been awful to deal with. You can see in the attached pictures that our crawlspace looks nothing like the work that the company advertises. We've been trying to get the company to fix these issues for 2+ years and they've either been giving us the run-around or ghosting us for that time. The dehumidifiers they used were never designed to control the humidity in a crawlspace, and since they were undersized and overworked, they failed after roughly a year. Since then, the humidity in our crawlspace has been consistently in the 70%-80% range and is sometimes above 90%. The high humidity levels and high variations have led to cracking throughout our home, causing thousands of dollars in damages. High humidity also attracts insects, rodents, and snakes, so now our crawlspace is a mess. The company charged for the "best" option and then did work that was not only substandard but ultimately resulted in an uncontrolled crawlspace with high humidity. And they're warranty? They're warranty isn't worth the paper that it's written on. The warranty has been broken for 2+ years, and yet AHA/Travis refuse to do anything about it. Ultimately, we will have to file a lawsuit against the company for a chance to recover some of the damages that have been done to our home. Maybe AHA has done good work in the past, but our experience has been anything but positive. Travis is quick to mention his "rave" reviews, but if you look closely, you'll find several others with similarly awful experiences. I'm confident that Travis will reply with a bogus response, but he's pretty good at laying down the BS. I hope this serves as a warning to anyone considering AHA in the future. It's sad when you see reviews so you call a company. Owner was suppose to show up and never did. No phone call and nothing. I'm glad I waited for nothing. Called the lady that answered the phone said he would call me. Next day or two did. Said he was in area, he may stop by. Never did. I called THREE times again ( wondering why) and no response. Okay no problem, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Company made contact right away, scheduled evaluation right away. Contractor finally got out to our house after putting us off continuously for two hours. He said he only needed 10 minutes for evaluation so I let him come out even though we had some place to be. Even knowing this, he kept digging and digging (literally, with our spade, mind you). I finally had to leave to go to appointment and my husband had to join us separately after contractor had left. Contractor apparently broke our shovel and said he would fix and return and also bring quote. Been almost two weeks and haven't received either yet. What a shame considering my first impression was initially a positive one! read more

Took several attempt to get Travis to actually show up after tasking several attempts to get him to give me a quote. His subs did a good job but there were payment issues and I was harassed during my vacation to pay remaining deposit before the was complete. The Job was never completed to my satisfaction and I gave up as Travis would only show up after dark and do odd jobs in my yard instead of what I actually hired him to do. Now the Dehumidifier isn't working correctly (still under his warranty) and he won't return calls or emails. read more

Travis jumped in and tackled my half finished crawlspace. It was a difficult job with severe humidity issues and not much clearance under the house. He and his team did a fantastic job completing the encapsulation and installing a dehumidifier. He stands by his work, I highly recommend. read more

Established in 2004.

In 2004 my father and I decided to design and build our first speck home in our development Falling Waters. We didnt know a whole lot about building homes at the time but knew we wanted to implement the best building practices focusing on energy efficient green homes. Pouring ourselves into research we stumbled onto information about new ways to approach the crawlspace. We found research and reports that just made sense to us. Having to spend over 20 thousand dollars to replace floor joists we knew there had to be a better way. Coincidentally code was being changed in North Carolina to allow for a unvented "encapsulated" crawl space right as we were breaking ground on our first home. We became the first home in history to be built without the traditional vents. A healthy home was born. It was a challenge in the beginning to convince builders and customers it's bad science to vent a crawl space. A lot has changed since then and a properly encapsulated crawl space is the benchmark.
