I was afraid that the experience at the vet might make my cat really anxious and he might start attacking the staff, but the Dr. and his staff seem to be cat whisperers and were able to keep him calm by wrapping him in a warm towel. Dr. Cosimini gave me great suggestions such as using a lasagna pan for a water dish and ways to keep up with my cat's oral hygiene. It was overall a great experience, and unless I move far away, I won't go anywhere else for my cat's medical care.

When I took my kittens in, the doctor followed up with me on a call I'd made to him about my older cat a few months before. It's just so personal, genuine and warm. I also don't feel price gouging like I do elsewhere (and also the prices are reasonable) and I've never felt pressured to do anything. They're great. There are at least 10 veterinarians within a 10 min drive of me but I'll drive 30 mins to these guys any day.

At my most recent visit this week, the tech had initially prepared us for laboratory studies. However, the veterinarian used her medical expertise and discretion to suggest that we should actually wait another year given that our two cats were healthy and laboratory tests would be expensive and likely low yield. However, last year, when one of our cats was ill, they were quick to suggest a test showing our cat actually had stomach cancer. This allowed us to make appropriate decisions to keep her comfortable and understand what options were available. I would definitely recommend Boston Cat hospital for your cats. It may feel expensive sometimes, but the vets are so considerate of your animals, your time, and your financial situation that I am delighted that I get to work with them.
