I want to bear testimony of the professionalism, experience, integrity, and compassion that Mark and Suzanne displayed while I first came here to California and my 2015 Volvo XC60 took a turn for the worst the day after I arrived. I found A Import Specialist while searching for a Volvo mechanic that had 4 stars or higher in the Riverside area. I drove all the way from Detroit to start my new life here in California when my Volvo decided it didn't want to pick up and move anymore. I got ahold of Mark first and he gave me a very honest perspective of what I was looking at mechanically and financially. I won't lie, it was a doozy. There were so many components in the engine that were dying a slow death and the cost to fix them was a lot for me at the time. Here's the thing, I love the way this car drives and this was my first European car but I had no idea that the parts were so expensive. Mark and Suzanne stuck with me through the entire process of working with my warranty adjustor, gave me updates constantly, and even worked with me in regard to the balance that I had to pay out of pocket because they knew how strapped I was. I'll be honest, for me it was a lot of money, but when I researched some of the prices for Volvo parts that fit my 10 year old car there was only one game in town and they weren't cheap. I am so thankful that they were honest with me about my situation and were willing to work with me. My Volvo runs like a dream now. I realize that they also have a reputation to uphold and do not want you coming back because of a cheap fix and collateral damage happening to your car. I'm not sure if I left a review but I want to make sure I leave a review because this is very important I took my Mercedes C300 to the shop 2017 because it was not running and it needed a starter. They put the starter in fine no problem. It's what happened afterwards that is bewildering to me, first I find their tool in the backseat of my car on the floor, second all kinds of quarters pennies nickels and dimes had been pulled from the sides of the seats, third I go get an oil change from Valvoline, and Valvoline pulls out 9 quarts of oil "now how in the h e **". Forth, now my sunroof, I just happened to pop it open because I use my sunroof all the time now my son roof don't want to close it's acting all funny the shade won't close at all someone's been f****** with my car. Thank God I caught the oil and had it removed in time before the engine got ruined, The sunroof I will take it somewhere else to have it repaired like I said the car was in perfect shape absolutely nothing was wrong with the car now I see all kinds of little dings inside where it looks like somebody took their little tool and poked around my vehicle. This is very sad. I have no one else to blame but them because the car was perfect before it sat at their shop. Ladies be careful taking your vehicle to a place when you are by yourself. read more

Incredible!! I was so nervous about taking my Mercedes to get repaired. You hear the horror stories about other mechanics. So I did my research and I had read through numerous reviews and recommendations on local Euro Car Repair shops. A Import Specialists stood out, and when I reached out by phone I immediately knew why. Suzanne was super sweet and knowledgeable. She told me to have my car towed in the next morning and she would have the mechanic (Mark) look at it and get me an estimate. My car was in at 8:00 am and they called us by 10:00 am with the estimate. It was very reasonable and a lot less than we feared it would cost based on research of the cost of the part plus the book rate that was shown, AND she said it would be done that same day! They had my car completed by 3:00 pm that afternoon!! Mark did a fantastic job with the repair and was so very helpful when I asked him a few other questions on a couple of other non-related issues. He even took a moment to check out one of them before I left. They are honest, trustworthy, reliable, kind, and caring! I will be going to them for ALL my repairs and maintenance. I stopped in to see if they could service my car, like all the other shops I tried, they were booked up and behind. After leaving I called to see if I could get an estimate on the 100k service and make an appointment. The lady who answered told me she was busy and would look up what was required for the service and call me back, that was Monday and it is now Wednesday; THERE HAS BEEN NO CALL BACK! I have attempted to call three times, I think this lady recognizes the (562) area code and will nOt answer the phone. This is poor customer service and I would be careful taking my car to this establishment. read more

I have been meaning to review this place for awhile now.....This is THE best place to take your import vehicle!!!! I have an Audi and it has been wonderful since I bought it, until it wasn't...and I made the mistake of taking it 3 times to another place who kept "fixing it" until it would have the exact same problem again. I ended up finally giving up on that place and took a leap of faith and went to A Import Specialist. Can I just say, Mark and Suzane are incredibly kind and down to earth and delivered on their promise to take care of me and get my car back up and running. They were pleasant to work with and showed me empathy and understanding for the frustration I was experiencing with my car. I was going to post a 5 star review for Mark because i considered him a friend, I am so glad I never did ...you will all think i made it up..i have invoice orders along with cheap Chinese parts and completely wrong diagnosis given to me for my Car repairs. I am thankful for our a true Audi Specialist Common Wealth Audi.....where I was told that the reason my car broke down was due to faulty aftermarket coils and spark plugs. .. .As for what Marks Rude wife said ..Audi is full of full of it...she also said I still needed to do other work $1200 more to truly fix the problem..funny thing is Audi could've done that work since the extended warranty would've paid for it.. but none of it was necessary. Like the previous review From Don G...they had no idea how to work on something other than Volvo. The sad part is that we liked Mark. Funny thing about these new 5 star reviews is that they came right after the BBB started their investigation. They were given the opportunity to just credit us on our next repair $250...that was flat out denied.....so they lost a customer that has trusted them over the years...even traded them a 2001 passat in 2006 in return for work to be done on our previous 07 audi A4 and Q7. I just picked up my VW Passat from A Import Specialist great experience so far took care of the issue that I went in with and found others however they broke it down since I couldn't afford to take care of everything all at once. Mark was very thorough in explaining each issue and broke it down by how much each item would cost and what it would repair. I'm coming back my experience was pleasant. My family and I have trusted A Import Specialist with our cars for years. They are very honest people and will never rip you off. There have been a couple of times that I have dropped my car off there thinking that something was wrong with it, when there wasn't anything at all. Both times I thought that I was going to have to pay something and Mark said, "I drove it around and found nothing wrong with it so it you don't owe anything." NOTHING. I found A Import Specialist after I got an outrageous price from VW dealer to fix my Jetta. At first, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place and that said a lot about the business. Years ago when I start studding German language, one of the first saying that I learn in German was: "ordnung ist das halbe leben" - in fact that is the basement of German society, the key to success. Long story short - perfect customer service, very fair price, good quality work. I found my new doctor for my old Jetta. Had engine coils and spark plugs replaced in Audi A4. 3 weeks later check engine light came back on. Mark tried to sell us additional work to fix the problem. Took vehicle to Commonwealth Audi and two of the engine coils had failed and all parts were aftermarket, not Audi parts as Mark claimed. Husband went to get a refund and his Wife got nasty with him...Mark never called him back regarding our refund. Was making the drive from OC to have him service our cars.... Not anymore! read more

I have been bringing my Mini Cooper here for a few years but, I'm just now taking the time to write a review. Mark has always done really good work on my car. Every time I have brought my car in Mark warns me to check my oil more often since Minis are known to burn oil. I finally sheepishly confessed that I don't know how. I'm not just a dumb girl. Minis have the worst designed dip sticks and are impossible to read. Mark offered to check my oil for me and I have been taking him up on it. I've had my range rover in a few times for everything from replacing airbags to scheduled service. Everytime I have been a happy customer - at one point I had a computer recalibration issue that had to be fixed at the dealership ( side note the service at range rover Pasadena far exceeds that of Anaheim Hills) and Mark even spoke to the service tech there to go through everything that had been done on the car. It took the dealer a week to figure it out and they were far less communicative about what was going on. A import is always able to get my car in, turn it around quickly, and do so at a very reasonable price no matter what the service is. I wouldn't trust anyone else! They are amazing, honest, reliable, and efficient! I grew up watching my mom constantly played by her mechanic (across the street from North high school ) Every time she brought her car in, even for an oil change, she'd have some major thing go wrong 2-3 weeks later.
