There was quite a few cars on the lot so I could definitely see why it took a while. They followed up with me in regards to running A little behind schedule so I definitely appreciate that. Update on the timing belt service we had. a long with the other mistakes and on going problems, they said they flushed the cooling system since the water pump was changed, they had to drain the coolant. They flat out lied to us about that. I had the cooling system flushed and there was proof it was never flushed at all. When we picked the car up from them and drove 5 miles home, parked on our steep driveway and coolant and 3 engine brackets were coming out the bottom of the car. I asume they just pulled the water pump off and never even drained or cleaned up the coolant spilled all over the car. They did suspension work while doing the timing belt. How did they miss the pieces falling off the car? While doing both front control arms after they did the timing belt? They also screwed up the control arms and had the replace both of them. The bushings were tearing apart after 3 months. Either it was cheap parts or they did the job wrong. They Never Explained What Was Wrong. Not one word. Didn't show the parts they replaced. Not the same quality of work they used to do. Use caution if at all. I know 100% that they lie to cover up!! This place is the only review I have ever given. I update as I slowly learn the effects of their poor Quality of work on our car. read more

Crooks, disguised in nice guys! They charged me 1200$ for a 2 hours labor job pretending they fix my car. They keep my car for almost 2 weeks to seal 2 injectors. I'll fill up a claim at the Federal Consumer Protection and I'll ask for my money in the Court. After I drove the car for 10 miles the engine light pop up and the car had the same codes like it had before. When I brought the car back they asked me to take it to a VW dealer. I sugest you to do the same things if you are scamed by this shop . I'll update and share my story on all local groups to be sure that they won't gone scam other customers read more

First let me say Audi sucks! They have a faulty transmission and they KNOW it. That being said , I had no choice and was forced to replace my transmission in my 2018 A3. Scott and his team helped me when no other shop could. I have been using GT Imports now for two years to service my older Audi. I went to them after purchasing the Audi and having some concerns about its mechanical reliability. They confirmed some of the things I was afraid of, but walked me through a very open and honest process of which things to tackle first, how to budget for them, and how to prevent future damage. Having now used them for all of my regular servicing, we actually take all three of our cars now only to GT Imports, including our Ford. I far prefer GT over the dealership as they are more honest, more transparent, and frankly just a heck of a lot nicer. Depending on your car there is no such thing as a cheap and also good import auto expert. At GT I always feel like I am getting exceptional value for my money, and I trust them 100% read more

I have been taking my cars to GT for about five years. I switched when a previous shop closed and a friend recommended GT. I have taken six different vehicles to them including several still under factory warranty. I am fond of Volvo cars and Gary was at a Volvo dealer as I understand. So they have this expertise. But they have also serviced my Mazda and Acura just fine. I am a scientist and meticulous about having clean and well maintained vehicles. So I am not just looking for a quick oil change or necessarily the very cheapest service possible. I am looking for a long term relationship with garage that knows me and my vehicles. Let me list some positive attributes about GT. 1. They are honest. 2. They don't try to push you to do expensive repairs. 3. They always inspect your car and inform you of items that may need repair in the future. 4. They are local. 5. Laura, Scott, Gary, Ruby et al are friendly and treat you like they appreciate your business. 5. If a repair is not right they will adjust or redo gratis. 6. The garage area (and waiting area) is very clean and well ordered and techs dress neatly and uniformly. That says a lot about being professional and presenting that to customers. 7. You can speak to the tech working on your car at GT if you want. In truth, at a dealer, you have no idea who is working on your car or their level of expertise. You are forced to take the word of the service rep whose job is to sell you service. Having a good mechanic is like having a good doctor. They have to be competent and you must like and trust them. I have a 2008 VW Beetle that had the engine light go on. My story with GT Imports is long so I just want to say that there were problems trying to figure out why the light wouldn't go off, but Gary and his team went above and beyond to figure it out and succeeded to get the engine light off. This took some time and energy on their part as it was a difficult situation but they didn't quit until it got resolved. Some of the dealerships won't work on cars older than 10 years (especially VWs) so I was happy that they took this endeavor on. They all are professional and give you great service. My 2001 BMW 525i had a brake failure in San Bernardino on my way to an important meeting in Las Vegas. I had NO IDEA what I should do because I live in San Diego. Then, I found GT Imports on a Yelp search and had my car towed there after hours. The next morning I arrived and Laura was ready to help me. The entire experience was professional. I would recommend GT to anyone who can drive (or tow) your car there. This is a well run operation. They even went over the entire car and recommended what I should keep an eye on in my aging car. GUYS!! THERE'S A REASON WHY THIS PLACE HAS AMAZING REVIEWS!!! My past two cars have been a 2007 Saab 9-3 wagon and a 2004 Volvo XC90 T6. Having to own European cars, I've been forced to look for specialty mechanics to fix my cars whenever a problem arise. The last place I took my car to, it took them over 2 weeks to get the problem fixed (took them over a week just to even LOOK at the car). During those two weeks, I had to rent a car and the longer the company took to fix my car, the larger my bill accumulated. I was definitely NOT a happy customer. Last Friday, I called in to make an appointment to get my car checked out. It's been making a bunch of clunking sound so I knew I needed it to get looked at. I talked to Scott on the phone and he was super nice, told me the diagnostic charges, and put me on the calendar first thing Monday morning. Long story short, my car had a lot of things that needed work. Originally we made an appointment on the following Thurs to bring the car in, but when the water pump was leaking real bad, they made room for me to bring it in the following day. Scott told me he was going to get me a rental car (on THEM) so I didn't have to worry about not having transportation. Mind completely blown - that has never been offered to me before. Not only that, but they took care of a few repairs for me (free of charge) and when the car wasn't returned back to me at the time they promised, they threw in a free oil change! I've never had so many freebies that I didn't ask for! Scott, John, and Laura were all incredibly friendly and talked to me like they cared. Every problem was explained carefully and I never felt rushed or blown off. This place is the real deal guys. They just made me a customer for life! read more
