I went against my better judgment after reading the negative reviews and decided to give them a try anyway unfortunately, it was an epic failure from the start. Upon entering, the floors were sticky and the entire place reeked of smoke from the cigar lounge next door. We also had to wait while the staff tried to figure out seating. We ordered two drinks and an appetizer, but only one drink was brought out. After 30 minutes, the second drink still hadn't arrived. Our waitress Lilly said she would check on it but it never came, and she eventually disappeared altogether. We asked for a manager twice, and no one ever came. Overall, the staff needs training, service was extremely disappointing and poorly managed. read more

Taco Tuesday, drinks were trash, I could fix a better drink. The side car was too syrupy. The shrimp tacos had two shrimp in them and were not seasoned. The beef tacos were okay; however the waiter did not get the order right the first time and we had to send them back. As you can see the beans I had with the shrimp tacos, the bowl was half full. Additionally, it took about 30 minutes to get the tacos and an hour to get the oysters we ordered. I had ate and posted this review and they still weren't at the table. They have music playing and it's clean; however the service is horrible. I have tried to give them a chance over and over, but we are always disappointed. The waiter walked by our table 3 times before picking up dirty dishes. He was very polite but you can't control the whole restaurant. The waiter made our drinks, brought our food. The owner should be here daily to help with service. This restaurant will not last long. Also, I will add it was only us and an older couple in the restaurant at the time. The other couple left because their food was taking too long and they had boiled food. Just read the reviews and fix it. We try to support but this is ridiculous. A year later and I'm still experiencing the same thing from a year ago. Nothing is changing. read more

This was our first visit. It's in a shopping plaza so there's parking and it's a large venue. We got there after 6 or 7 pm and we didn't have to wait. The air smells smoky but it's got a good vibe with music playing and the bar area fills up first. I had a lavender drink with gin that I really enjoyed but it was a little pricy at $16. I had the grilled chicken $18 with fried sweet potatoes and rice and beans. The container for the rice and beans was very hot to the touch. I wanted to transfer it to my main plate so I wouldn't have to reach over the rectangular plate. While the plate was pretty it does move a lot as you eat off it or cut your food. The food was filling. The rice had some crunchy bits but I know some people like that for the crunch. I got to try the fried pork chops. I liked the taste of the breading, it was flavorful. As we were leaving the lights dimmed. There's a stage which made me wonder if there was entertainment later. We didn't stay later to find out. read more

Amazing place. Great atmosphere & service. Perfectly strong cocktails. I felt like I really got my money's worth. The gumbo was delicious and the most authentic in the area. The deep fried salmon bites were hot and also absolutely delicious. We also had the whole deep fried red snapper and it was also delicious and large enough for 2 people. The fish had a strong earthy, fishy flavor. Catfish is typically mild and slightly sweet. That kind of taste usually indicates it wasn't fresh, wasn't cleaned properly, or was farmed in muddy water. I tried multiple times to eat it - especially given it was $28 - but just couldn't. My husband agreed it was strong, though he managed to finish his by covering it in ketchup. The macaroni and cheese looked amazing in the online photos, but it didn't live up to expectations. It was overly salty, and the Cajun cream sauce overpowered everything else. As for the ambiance, it wasn't what I expected. I understand it's a bar and grill, but it felt more like a club than a Cajun-style restaurant. Based on the name and menu, I was hoping for a New Orleans vibe with Cajun charm. Sadly, it missed the mark. Stopped by on a Friday night & was highly disappointed. I ordered the seafood platter $31 came with 1 piece of catfish which was season good but not enough food for a platter. Also the platter included (6)shrimp which were overcooked in old grease. For my sides I had loaded mash potatoes which were great & burnt hush puppies. Went for a graduation party to support a close friend and her son. Note: It was During regular business hours. I also sat at a different table than the party. And the server only knew I was with the party because I told her. A premenu was set for $65 each for the party. However due to a recent surgery I am unable to eat a full four course meal. I ask if I could just buy a gumbo and drink. I was told I would be charged $65. Wow! I live in the area and this was my first time coming. What a sour taste to put in my mouth about this establishment. Being who I am, I will spread my review to many many people. Horrible customer service. Saw two to three roaches crawling in our booth. Complained to management about it and a discount was offered for our food after a 10 minute discussion. They do have a lunch menu with meals for $9.99. The fried mushrooms & sweet potato fries appetizers were great. We tried the fried shrimp, catfish, and salad. All was good. This is a nice black restaurant that we were referred to. The ambience is nice with nice music in the background. Let's start off with our drinks, FIRE!!! Our bartender Kiara is very energetic and can pour a mean drink! We ordered two different entrées and when I tell you, the food is on point! For them to have the word "Orleans" in the title of the restaurant, I expect there to be some flavor and heat. We were not disappointed. It took a little while for one of our plates to get to us, but I can honestly say that the food was very much fresh out of the fire. It was worth the wait. The prices are reasonable.
