I know it was a lot of stuff and the crew was tired, but I had some damaged items that were simply due to being stacked wherever they could find room in order to get the job done. Was not impressed by the work ethic. They could not get my couch in but didn't really try until I pulled on it when I walked in the room. They made several comments about how I should just sell my couch. Well it's not an option. I can't afford a new couch, I paid them to move it. They made comments while they thought I was out of earshot. This company apparently thinks it's okay to belittle paying customers and their belongings while in their home, thinking the customer can't hear them. They stacked items in my garage without ever asking where they should go, including a box of fragile Christmas decorations that they stacked off balance on top of some pots. Picture attached. They finished up 20 minutes early so i asked them to try the couch again. It felt like they barely tried. The one Colston, told me they were putting it in the garage. This job was never completed. After they left I called the company and told them to send me pros, not kids. Advised them of the situation and the belittling remarks. The wife of the owner, and one of the owners called me back to let me know she would talk to her team. She then sent me a text, not a call. Didn't have the professionalism or courtesy to call me back. They failed to send anyone out to help with the couch, deducted a measly 15 minutes from the invoice for the 1 mover being late. After receiving this text from her, i called. They didn't pick up. I texted and told them to call me. I called again and spoke to Will, the owner. I didn't get anywhere. He too refused to make this right and are still charging me the full price. He said their movers take pictures and record videos of every move. Umm excuse me? So you are taking pictures and videos without my consent? I texted and asked about that and have yet to hear a response. I told him on the phone earlier that I would be leaving a crap review and on-line. He mentioned that he is a woman owned, veteran owned business. Well if we are going to bring that up, thank you Knoxville Moving Company for treating a woman veteran like this. My husband was also military and unfortunately is no longer here because of it. This move back to the area he and I lived in was supposed to be a new chapter, a chapter of hope. Thanks Knoxville Moving Company for screwing that up, making it even more difficult. It is completely unacceptable to treat customers this way. I absolutely guarantee had my husband been here to meet their movers at the door, they would have gotten the job done that they were paid to do without smartass, belittling comments. I hired My Family's Hauling to move me from Knoxville to Nashville. The owner Josh and one…read moreadditional worker showed up and took over 6 hours to load my 2-bedroom apartment. It got to the point that my two friends and I had to help them just to move the process along. Upon arriving in Nasville I found that 6 pieces furniture incurred damages, which totaled over $6,000 in damages. By the time they were wrapping things up it was 10:30pm (they started at 8:30am). The owner Josh went to his truck for once last sweep, and I waited and waited for him to come back to wrap things up and give me his insurance information. I finally called him, and he had dashed the seen! He rudely left, leaving my keys in the door, without giving me his insurance information. I have reached out to Josh a number of times to get this resolved with no response. I had also hired them for junk removal, and I later discovered that they had left my headboard at my old apartment complex. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

It went out to about five moving companies (this was on Saturday)  Within 10 minutes Ky from Bellhop at the Chattanooga office called me. Bellhop was the first to respond. Ky was so nice and extremely courteous. He helped us figure out what we needed. The price he quoted was a good fair price. Because of Ky we immediately felt confident and agreed to hire Bellhop. We received a confirmation for the job on the same day. Next day (Sunday) we got a notification with the pictures of our movers who were Alec and Austin. Alec also texted us to confirm the time etc. Alec and Austin arrived on Monday at our storage unit ON TIME and ready to work. They loaded the truck and we drove to our apartment. Let me tell you Alec and Austin were incredible. They worked their butts off NON STOP. We are on the third floor with TWO SETS OF STAIRS. They brought everything up with a smile and always asked us where we wanted things placed. We saw Alec carrying two very heavy large boxes at a time (like they were empty!) Me and my husband were shocked and impressed with the strength and stamina Alec and Austin had. And they did it in such an upbeat courteous friendly manner. They were fast too.  Nothing was damaged either no walls touched, no floors scratched. PERFECT! They were able to get heavy items up the stairs we thought we were going to have to leave behind and they were so nice about doing it! They made an incredibly stressful move stressless for us!  We are 100% happy with Bellhop and will definitely use them again. Ask for the team Alec and Austin. I later learned he was a "loaner" who didn't even work for the company, and that he did poor work all day. -They were hired to help PACK the house, which I was fine paying for. The workers brought NO packing materials and instead just tossed stuff haphazardly into whatever container they could find. When they ran out of the boxes we had provided, instead of asking me to go get more (I was working in my vehicle the entire day), they simply threw things into the back of their truck loose. Two days later we're still finding shattered pieces of our property due to, for example, reams of printer paper being thrown on top of china. -Speaking of dishes, they didn't even pack everything. There were a few items I asked them to leave once I realized they were being idiots with our stuff, but we also discovered they didn't even open the kitchen cabinets, so we have to go back and move most of the kitchen ourselves. If the house closing had not already been moved, we'd have to move it just to finish the job we paid for. -After the truck left the old house I found the ground littered with cigarette butts. It turned out they had been smoking all day right next to the OPEN DOOR of the house. All our stuff reeks of cigarette smoke. Whatever does not err out is now ruined. All told it took them two days to move a three-bedroom home and it's not even moved. We've lost many of my wife's nice things to straight-up malicious incompetence. The owner did take responsibility and accepted a reduced bill, but the more we try to undo the mess, the worse even that settled bill looks. Stay far, far away.
