Called them because my tankless water heater was tripping out. After some googling found out what the code 10 meant and them figured out the painters covered the vent holes while painting the outside of our complex. They showed up and confirmed, didn't even charge a service fee or anything. Very friendly and really explained why it happened, so I had a thorough understanding. I mistakenly called another company to unclog my main line. that company was out there for 15 minutes and said they couldn't unclog it and that we need to hydrojet it for $795 and that our pipe might be burst. I dismissed that company and was still required to pay 99 even though they didn't do anything. I called A O Dowd plumbing. They came within an hour and explained every thing. we're 10x more knowledgeable and reassuring. They said they wanted to snake and see first and they said if they couldn't snake it they couldn't charge me. Anthony was out there for 15 minutes and unclogged it instantly. He even ran water for 10 minutes and snaked further in the drain just to make sure. Anthony was amazing and saves us several hundred dollars will use them again! As a small business owner, reliability and being punctual is a rare but precious quality that we seek in vendors and technicians. Needless to say, this year was extremely difficult for small business owners. So when LA County finally allowed our operations to resume we had very short turnaround time. This is when we discovered that our Boiler wasn't functioning properly. I called multiple vendors and specialists, but decided to go with Jason from A O Dowd Plumbing because of the way he went about asking me what the issue and problems I was experiencing in trying to diagnose the situation over the phone. Most other competitors were more interested in making sure you know their rates and how this is considered overtime. As a business owner, I am as skeptical and jaded as they come unfortunately due to the numerous times of let downs, price gauging, and simply dealing with "call centers" than actual technicians. So I took a chance with Jason. Although he had other jobs prior to ours; he understood the urgency of our situation and sympathetic to the fact that we're just a small business barely trying to hang on while LA County wreck havoc with abrupt opening/closing policies. He scheduled our job for the early evening since he knew we needed our boiler to be fixed in order to get opened. First thank you Jason for called me back and show interest in my needs of trying to fix my shower licking and though my call was I could said after hours on a Saturday (745pm) I am very grateful for everything.
