For my 800th review milestone, I wanted to highlight a business that is very near and dear to our hearts. We hired A Perfect Day for our wedding coordination, and Kelly and team were nothing short of a godsend. Having never been married before, and not actually living in Hawaii, we had so many questions and concerns. With over 20+ years of experience in the industry, Kelly was able to provide loads of guidance, suggestions, and insights into the process. And truly helped us be at ease, remain on track and organized going into the big day, and ensure all the pieces of the puzzle clicked in place on the day of. We hired Kelly 6 months out from our wedding date, and right off the bat she scheduled 4 separate virtual meetings with us to address any questions and discuss logistics. Through her, we were able to find great vendors, coordinate with all the various external parties to ensure seamless planning, and made sure all of the details, however minute, were all planned and executed appropriately. She was also very responsive to all email communications we had with her, and very knowledgeable about our venue and vendors. After our wedding, A Perfect Day has featured our wedding on both their social media and website blog, and we are immensely grateful for of all of their kindness and professionalism. If you are looking for a wedding planner or day-of coordinator for your upcoming wedding, I can state without any hesitation that A Perfect Day is the way to go!

We had a destination wedding at the Kahala and Kelly and her team made our wedding day stress free. They took care of all the small logistic details so my husband and I can enjoy our day and focus on each other. The communication was always smooth, professional, and friendly. Thank you so much!

Chad and I can't express how grateful we are to have Kelly coordinate our wedding. We had her coordinate our wedding the day of and everything went smoothly. She was professional, punctual, attentive, straightforward, and easy to work with. Not once did she not answer any of my emails or texts. I would have her at any other event even if it wasn't a wedding . Thank you again Kelly and your team!

I don't know why it has taken me so long (nine months) to write this review. I honestly still haven't processed everything leading up to, and on our wedding day. Having a team there with you every step of the way, from planning and coordinating, to the final execution (pun intended, lol) is probably the most helpful and reassuring thing in the world. Especially if, at the time, your future hubby's favorite saying is "Get whatever you want" or "I think that's a great idea". Add in working full time while trying to finish college and walk at graduation just 6 days prior to the wedding date. Ugh, whoever thought that was a good idea must have been crazy! I first discovered Kelly and her Team from their free wedding workshops. Initially, I was only interested in the service that will assist you in finding vendors. A Perfect Day (APD) will charge a commission fee to the vendor once a contract is signed, making the service free to their clients. However, after attending just one workshop, I was so impressed! Even with the help in finding vendors, I started feeling the pressure and inquired about the full "day-of coordination" service. Julia provided me with information on what that all entailed and assisted me on the spot in scheduling an appointment to meet with Kelly. Kelly is very flexible and has some evenings available either in town or more West. Prior to our first meeting, we were in contact via email. She sent forms with questions about what kind of wedding I wanted, my style, expectations, etc. Our first meeting was at Mr. Tea in Ala Moana, we were both early and she texted to let me know she was there. She came fully prepared with follow up questions to the form I had previously completed. We went over everything again and she took detailed notes to each answer. After, we scheduled our next meeting and she gave me homework, as I still had some vendors to secure. After that meeting, I knew we absolutely needed to have APD's help with coordination. I copied Kelly in on all emails to and from our vendors so she could be aware and update her notes on times as well as the services we would be provided. We met just about every month up until the wedding. Each meeting went smooth and although I was extremely stressed out, she reassured me that we were on schedule with where we should be at this time and reminded me not to worry. Knowing just about every vendor in the wedding industry, I felt like she always had my best interest. She welcomed every single one of my questions and provided me with confident answers. This alone was one of the biggest reliefs, it allowed me to move forward knowing that I didn't have to worry about anything. Kelly attended our "rehearsal" at the site and walked us through the ceremony, teaching us how to transition from walking down the aisle with my dad to standing with my groom at the altar. We practiced A LOT, each time with a smile on her face. Finally, the day of, she and Julia arrived at the hotel at 3:30 am, just before my hair, makeup, and tattoo cover began. Throughout the day, everything was on schedule, the team let me know what was next on the timeline and made sure everything I had listed as a "must do" was done. They set up our reception centerpieces and put out the favors. They were so helpful to move most of the wedding décor and reception items back to the hotel room, and were still there to make sure everything was cleaned up so we could get out on time. APD's team is literally the first to arrive and last to leave. APD's team was so amazing, I had absolutely no care in the world and was able to fully enjoy my big day. I really can't say enough about them. I am forever grateful for all the time, hard work and friendships that have come from this wonderful, memorable experience. Best wedding advice I can give.. attend APD's workshops and budget to include the full day-of coordination service. It is well worth every penny.. you will not regret it!

Hiring Kelly and her team was one of the best decisions my now wife and I have ever made. Not only did she answer countless emails for over a year from me within 24 hours (all included in the lump sum), she made invaluable suggestions for vendors, found that I had double booked uplighting, and was a God-send the day of the wedding. Her team constantly checked in with me to see if I needed anything, provided me with water while taking photos in the hot sun between ceremony and reception, and made sure everything went seamlessly. My wedding had so many vendors and moving parts to it and it all went flawlessly. One of the first things my wife said to me after our wedding was "You were right about Kelly, she was definitely worth the money" and my wife is very hard to please and is frugal! Please do yourself a favor and go with Kelly and her 20+ years of experiences and connections with vendors!

Kelly is an ABSOLUTE GEM!! I cannot describe how much she helped us through the entire wedding planning and the day of. If you are wondering if you should hire her or not, DO IT. You will have no regrets. Here are some of the details that we appreciate: 1. Kelly meet with us as many times as we asked. She's ver my responsive to text and email. She will not leave you behind. 2. She's very thourough and thoughtful. Some of the detail that I missed, she caught it. 3. The day of the wedding, her calm and nice presence really helped ease our anxiety. She's always smiling. 4. Her staff are super helpful. We had Sienna and Brianna for getting ready portion. They were so helpful coordinating with my makeup & hair artists. Sienna basically had everything I asked for, including a scissor!! Brianna also helped one of my bridesmaid with her hair which is not her job at all. 5. Right before the grand entrace, Sienna gave me coke with a straw (how thoughtful!) and made sure I kept hydrated throughout the wedding. 6. Kelly and her team set up the table for us. We have place cards, party flavors, and fun facts with baby pictures. They did such a great job Me and my friend who had her as our coordinator were saying we wanted to hire her FOR LIFE haha. She's the best and I highly recommend her service!

It's really an immersive experience for little ones. From the start, the atmosphere was adorable, and I loved that the attendant was dressed as a magical creature--it really added to the whole fantasy. My daughter chose to dress up as a princess, which made everything even more special. She got her face painted first, then had glitter added to her hair and arms, and finished with sparkly nails. It honestly felt like a mini spa day just for her The staff member was incredibly patient and gentle, which made a huge difference, especially with a toddler. After the makeover, we were able to stay and enjoy the play area, take lots of pictures, and my daughter had the sweetest time having a little tea party in her princess outfit. Seeing how happy and confident she felt made it 100% worth it. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a special and memorable experience for your little one

The only thing I wouldn't necessarily recommend is the hair add-on. For the extra cost, I didn't feel it was quite worth it. Overall though, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back.

Where to begin...Palm Palm Parties came and delivered! On time and finished way ahead of schedule!…read more I contacted Maile the owner of Palm Palm Parties super last minute because she was the only vendor on the island of Oahu that had the light up marquis "Aloha" & "Shaka" sign combo! These are one of the two things that represent my husband and I wanted to surprise him! Maile is incredible! She came home from a family trip and set up the signs all on her own. The photos should say it all! I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have gotten these signs! It was the best decision ever and so so worth it! These signs ended up being multi purpose! They made the perfect back drop/ photo area!!! Especially when the sunset arrived! On top of everything else on the day of my wedding these signs made my wedding that much more special not only for my husband and I but our entire ohana! It gave our ohana/guests hope during these tough times and made so much unforgettable memories and stunning photos for us all! Mahalo Maile for being apart of our special day and making our wedding that much more special! I highly recommend "Palm Palm Parties & Events"!!!!!!!!!!! She's got so many other cute gems!

I loved the magic show and the vibes so they were the first group I thought of and wanted to book for my son's 1st birthday (my husband also loves magic shows so he was stoked we got to book with them). They were literally my one stop shop for MULTIPLE things! We did the party package pro + projector and screen rental. Everything from the inquiry, to the emails, to the payments, AND reminders (because I lose track of time a lot) all were such a smooth process. I'm naturally always anxious and stressed, and want to make sure everything runs smoothly. Sooo much of my anxiety was eased because of Balloon Twisters Hawaii. They were organized, timely, cleaned up after themselves, effectively communicated with my husband and I, AND were such a breath of fresh air with their humor. Our friends and family were all engaged with the entertainment and were loving the variety of options for the balloon twisting. Super happy this all worked out. Will definitely book again in the future!!!!

They'll do their best to give you their best and they know how to deliver. If you look at the photos of the things my friends and I got from them, you'll see how great they are! Listen, we're grown adults celebrating our friend's daughter and if your friend tells you to get balloon hats, you get balloon hats. If the daughter tells aunty to get their face painted, we get our face painted. We wanted her to get her monies worth! Also, we sat right next to the table so it wasn't hard to make a request when there was no line. I don't even have kids but we had a fun time with them. I don't know the next time I'll ever need to book them but I do know they will be so worth it.

Dave and his partner were very welcoming, making jokes to warm up the kids and giving suggestions on balloon colors and tattoo stencils. I was worried they wouldn't have availability since it was so last minute, but we were able to book with him! His replies were always very fast (within 20 minutes) and he made the booking process so quick and easy. Their prices are very reasonable as well! On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up. We booked them for balloon twisting and airbrush tattoos and all our guests, both children and adults, loved them! Their work was very beautiful and all the kids kept lining back up for more. It was adorable seeing all the tattoos and balloons everywhere! They were so great with the kids and all our guests had so much fun. Dave made my son a Winnie the Pooh balloon and he absolutely loved it. The sweet woman working with Dave (unfortunately I forget her name, my brain was all over the place at the time) made my son a little turtle balloon bracelet and he was obsessed with it! She also asked for my favorite color, and then made me a rose balloon in that color! She actually walked all the way across the room to hand them to us both times. They were both very sweet people! All in all, I'm so happy with this whole experience from beginning to end! Thank you Party Time Hawaii, I highly recommend!

This woman saved us during what could have been a super stressful time in our life. I had already had a SUPER bad experience with another "popular" wedding planner on island... so I was super nervous about meeting Taryn but she came highly recommended from a close friend. Immediately, when I first spoke to Taryn, her bubbly, infectious but straight up personality made me feel so comfortable. I felt like I was talking to an old bestie. We had a couple of meetings via telephone and she just totally understood my vision. I trusted her and her process and she made every decision and step so easy for me. 2 weeks before our wedding, my honey and I unexpectedly had to move out of our home that we had been living in for a decade. I was devastated... I called Taryn freaking out because I knew we were getting so close to the wedding and she simply said "take care of your family and home, I got you." I entrusted her with my most important day of my life and she made it the most spectacular amazing gorgeous perfect event ever. Even with life hiccups, Taryn has your back and delivers.
