Jeanne is patient and resourceful. She has altered Bespoken suits for me because only a women understands that looking good sitting down is great but breathing while you do it is important. She designed and created a spectacular wool cape to keep me warm without downgrading my look. She has adjusted my favorites clothes to accommodate weight changes. When I'm frustrated I've learned to ask "what can we do" and she comes up with clever solutions. I know A Perfect Fit mostly does bridal work but I have never felt my projects were less important and they have always been done beautifully and on time. read more

I had my wedding dress altered here and they were amazing! Quick and efficient and made sure my dress fit perfectly. Many people start alterations very far in advance, so I was a little worried that I was crunched for time but they were able to complete my alterations well before my wedding with my first appointment being about 8 weeks before the actual wedding day. read more

A Perfect Failure at "A Perfect Fit" If you're looking for a company to almost-alter your wedding dress, look no further. I brought my dress to A Perfect Fit Alterations, and while they managed to shorten and take it in, they forgot one key component: making sure the zipper would actually zip. Apparently, the zipper was a "little tricky" but promised it would work. Spoiler alert: it didn't. Cue my wedding day - me, several friends, my mom, and a handful of safety pins doing emergency dress repairs. When we emailed afterward, they responded that we "should have called." I had no idea there was an elite zipper squad on standby. Recommendation? Should've read the other reviews. 1 star. read more

My wife brought her dress for my son's wedding here for a hem. The cost was not insignificant. Unfortunately she, against her better judgment, chose to overlook some of the poor reviews. The hem required about six inches off the dress, which was quite expensive, so my wife asked for the leftover material to be returned for sashes for our granddaughters' dresses for the wedding. This was clearly marked on the ticket. Not only did they fail to return the extra material, but the hem looked as though it was done by a sewing novice. It was very poorly done, puckered and looked shabby. It was bad. And they refused to make compensation for 'losing' the extra material which didn't help. Word to the wise: FIND SOMEWHERE MORE REPUTABLE AND HONEST. This was a disappointing experience. read more

I would not recommend "a perfect fit". First visit for my wedding gown went fine - Jeanne did the measurements. Second visit - came in and almost nothing was changed. They just forgot to do it. I live over an hour away so that was irritating. Felt like deja by getting the same measurements all over again with time running out! During that second visit we discussed the bustle and I was not happy with any of the methods - she said she'd do it on the inside. I also expressed how the top makes my chest look flat - I wanted the bodice to be fitted more to lift the chest up. 3rd visit - bodice changed a bit, but not happy with the final product. I reiterated what I wanted for a 3rd time and she really just brushed it off and said there was nothing more to be done. She also went ahead and did the bustle in one of the ways I did not like. Didn't even ask. I was clearly unhappy leaving and she thought that was perfectly fine, because she got paid. A perfect fit doesn't really care if you're happy, they just want a turnover of clients. Communication is horrible, it really felt so frustrating that they didn't seem to care or listen. Now, I have a dress that I am not happy with, and less than 4 weeks until my wedding. read more

If I could give a 0 rating I would. This was the most unprofessional owner I have ever met. She was rude, and condescending each time we were in there. Jeannie had my dress for over a year due to us having to postpone because of COVID. If I wouldn't have postponed my dress wouldn't have even been ready for my original wedding date. My dress still is messed up and not ready for my wedding in less than 2 months! I had to take my dress because every time she altered something, she would mess it up so bad that it would need more alterations. Of course with each change I was forced to get due to her lack of competency it was going to cost me more. At one point, she had to order complete new material because she messed up so badly and had to redo the entire top part of my dress because she thought it was a brilliant idea to add lace in the middle of my mess top as if she put a broach there. Mind you I did not ask for her to do this! She lost a gem in my strap and shrugged if off as if it was nothing and then thought it was a great idea to "Jimmy Rig" fix it and leave a big spot of white string bunched up in replacement of where the gem belong....my entire straps are complete gems...minus this one spot thats just out of place. She admitted to us that she messed up on my dress every time she touched it. I honestly think it was done on purpose. I do not recommend her at all. I have never been so devastated in my life at how poorly my wedding dress turned out. There were so many things that went wrong at these appointments that it is way too many to list. read more

Used A Perfect Fit for an alteration for a bridesmaid dress. Walked in and was immediately greeted. Put on my dress and the woman recommended the best way to alter the dress (needed to take it in some and wanted a couple other things done). I was quickly pinned and then done! A week and a half later I came back and the dress completed exactly as we had decided! Awesome! read more

I took a dress to be worn at a wedding to get slightly altered to A Perfect Fit. When I picked it up and took it home, I noticed the tied bows on each sleeve were missing. Also, the alteration had been taken in too much. I called immediately and was put on hold while they looked for tie bows. They found one of the bows but not the other (apparently the cleaning person had found the one on the floor). I had to request they make two new ones so the bows would match each other (they didn't offer first). They said they would start working on them. I didn't have a good feeling about the follow-through, so a few days later I stopped by to see how they were coming along and also asked to see if they could take out the dress a bit. They hadn't purchased the fabric yet and said they would do what they could with the alteration. I was told to return the following week to pick up the dress (with new bows). A week later, I returned when they had promised the dress to be completed. They had not even started the bows but did have the fabric. You can imagine how anxious (and angry) I was with the wedding now only a 5 days away. The manager promised the seamstress would work on them and to return the following day. To summarize, the bows were made, the alterations were not changed and I had to accept the dress as is because I was running out of time. NEVER ONCE, did anyone apologize for their mistakes, for the inconvenience of having to return several times, for not having the dress completed as promised. Take note A Perfect Fit: often times a customer just needs to hear "I'm sorry" or "we apologize for any inconveniences"...... read more

A dress store ordered my daughter's prom dress online. There was only one size available, which was one size larger than she would normally wear. We ordered it expecting to need alterations on it. We took the dress to A Perfect Fit Alterations. The employee said nothing about the alterations not being possible. They shortened the dress, tightened the straps, and put cups in it. The end result was a disaster. It was too short, one of the clasps on the straps broke right before she left for the prom (can't prove this was something A Perfect Fit caused), the dress did not fit snug at the top and you could see the edges of the cups, and the sides of the dress at her waist did not lie flat. (They suggested she use double sided tape and tape it down.) You should not need to tape down a dress that you just paid $215 in alterations on. I realize now this dress being a size too big made it difficult to alter for my daughter, but why did they not tell me that before the alterations were started? I had an arrangement with the dress shop that ordered it for me, that she would take it back and sell it in her shop if my daughter did not like it when it came in. It was a brand new dress with tags on it and they treated it like a dress that I bought in a thrift shop, that I should be happy with anything they could improve on it. We also had them make a mask with the material from the bottom. My daughter makes masks and was going to do it herself, but we decided to have A Perfect Fit do it, so it would be "professional". Boy, were we wrong about that. My daughter's masks fit and look better. They did stay open late for me to drive back, they put a nose clamp in it (that I provided), and returned the $20 that they had charged for it. My husband had some tuxedo pants hemmed at A Perfect Fit and was impressed with their work and how quickly they were done. I brought a formal dress for a wedding that needed to be hemmed. When I had the dress on, she noticed the shoulders didn't fit correctly and pinned that up too which made the dress fit much better.
