It was underwhelming for place that was recommended so highly on Reddit. The rooms are pretty small, dark, and dingy. The curtain doors obviously do nothing for noise suppression. You will hear other men moaning from their massage. I was unable to relax fully hearing that. The massage was pretty good. The best part of getting my back cracked. Although, I was not a fan of the scratching? That was a first. Service was great until the front desk woman asked for a higher tip. I found that very unbecoming. If you think your massages are worth more, your price should be set higher. A tip, while customary, is not obligatory. Set better business practices and do not make future customers feel uncomfortable. It's a common critique on your establishment after reading other reviews. Yeah, it's definitely time to update my review. Not that there's anything wrong with my previous review. It's a good review. It was very well received, Yelp says 20 people read it. No lie. So, yeah, you should read it if you haven't already. Go ahead, I'll wait until you get back. OK, so while I stand by everything I said, I now recognize I need to say more. Because I've got certain information, all right. Certain things have come to light. I usually get a whole body massage here. But today I decided to change it up and get a foot massage. Not my first, because like 5 or 6 years ago, on my initial visit, I had a foot massage here. It was so good that I decided to try a whole body massage. Then when I discovered how excellent the whole body massages were, I never went back to foot massages. Until today. Today I booked a 60 minute foot massage. My masseuse was named Shu. Holy hell that woman's hands are strong. I mean like ridiculously strong. But you don't even have to worry, she uses that strength with precision. Like some kind of kinesthetic commando she can terminate the most recalcitrant knots in your fatigued muscles with extreme prejudice. So you know, the standard foot massage routine, right? You typically wear shorts or roll up your pants, and wear a loose fitting shirt. You start semi-reclined with your feet in warm water while the masseuse works on your head, shoulders, arms and hands. All that preliminary, upper body, work is great and very relaxing. But for me, the best part is when they work on my feet. And this is where Shu, my masseuse today, impressed me the most. Shu has many years of experience practicing the techniques of Chinese reflexology, a therapeutic practice involving deep pressure on specific points of the foot. It's supposed that physical and mental health benefits are realized by restoring the body's natural balance and encouraging healing. Although this was only the second foot massage I've had here at A Perfect Getaway, I have been getting them here in Chinatown since 2009. I've probably had over a hundred. But none have been better than the one I had today. Shu is an absolute Master. (I can't believe it but she is actually better than the legendary Rex, owner of the [long closed] Best Foot Massage. Sorry Rex, wherever you are, hopefully happily retired.) But the King is Dead. Long Live Queen Shu! Shu's knowledge of foot anatomy was most impressive. She knew exactly what she was doing. And since I knew she knew what she was doing, I could totally relax. It felt like a river of endorphins was cascading through my brain as her fingers of steel expertly pushed into those reflexology pressure points. She worked across my metatarsals from one side to the other, each of them unleashing another torrent of brain dope. By the time Shu finished my left foot and started on my right, my mind had been washed down river into an ocean of pure bliss. I was like, oh hell yes, I am going with this. And so I did. After the work on your feet, they recline the chair until it's fully horizontal and have you flip over so they can work on your back and legs. You are usually offered Hot Stones here. I usually say yes. Today I declined. Didn't need them. It was such a great foot massage I immediately booked another for Thursday. Damn right I'm getting another one. And I booked a full body meridian massage for Wednesday because, well, you already know why if you read my previous review. LOL. Highly recommended! The 90 min massage was awesome. I would have done 120 mins if my husband wasn't waiting for me. A similar massage on the strip would have costed me twice as much. There are so many things I can say about working with Grace, but I will keep it direct to the point.. her energy and her spirit is one of the kindest I've ever met! I have been going to A Perfect Getaway Spa now for close to three years. I remember one of the first times I went there. I was having to wait 10-15 minutes for a masseuse to become available. Grace, the owner, came in and started my massage so I didn't have to wait. She worked on me for 15 minutes and when the other masseuse came, Grace re-started my one hour time. This is how Grace and her staff do business. They truly do care about their customers. They are warm, friendly, attentive, and very skilled. They are hands down the best I've been to. Ever! It was okay, I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews, but my experience ended up being underwhelming. I came with my boyfriend, and even though we didn't ask for a couples massage, we were put together in a tiny room with no door- zero privacy and no barrier to the noise outside. We ended up getting the 60‑minute body combo for back and legs, but it felt a bit unbalanced. There was very little attention to the arms and hands; most of my session was just deep, firm compressions. The only time warm oil was used was on my back and the back of my legs. About halfway through, right before i was going to flip over, the therapist asked if I wanted hot stones. It felt uncomfortable to bring it up 30 minutes in, and there was no mention of the cost, which was disappointing. it was overall not peaceful. I could hear every conversation at the entrance area and in the hallway, loud footsteps from high heels, and even noise from the restroom. Having no door, definitely took away from the whole experience. I might give this place another try on my own, but I'd need to be convinced it would actually be better the second time. If not, there are plenty of other spots that offer a more peaceful, professional, and thoughtful experience. read more

Grace is the best therapist in vegas 100%! I have been going to a perfect getaway since it was with the old owners named roses foot spa. Over 6-7 years. Usually when under new ownership it is good and then tapers of to mediocre at best... NOT HERE! I haven't yet had a bad massage. The owner is a wonderful massage therapist and does an amazing job. Just as well as the rest of the men and women that massage. Customer service is 10/10 and they're all very nice and very sweet. If you want a real therapeutic massage, this is your place! I have been to most of the non sketchy spots in vegas and this is the most consistent when it comes to a great massage and a fair price. Let's put it this way, I ALWAYS tip 30-50$.
