We found a used pontoon boat they were selling and immediately agreed to pay cash for their asking price. Scott was our salesman. Once the weather cooperated the sea trial with Ray (I believe that was his name) went very well a week later. It turned out the used boat we bought was being brokered by North Bay Marina. They are located in Delaware - I live in Maryland. I asked Scott to ensure I could register the boat in Maryland after the purchase, which he ensured I could. Took possession of the boat and shortly thereafter went to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to register it and pay the sales tax. DNR advised North Bay Marine completed the paperwork wrong as a broker and denied me. By happenstance I ran into DJ (an employee of North Bay Marina) at a store and informed him DNR had denied me to register the boat. DJ's response was DNR doesn't know what they are doing. I thought his response was so nonchalant to me, that it was rude and very off-putting. Finally Scott redid the paperwork the proper way and I was able to return to DNR and register the boat in Maryland properl I returned to North Bay Marina today to pick up my owner's bag the previous owner had dropped off. DJ walked in seeing me standing in the showroom (no one was there, so I was waiting for assistance) and didn't acknowledge me or ask if I needed help. I had to speak up and say I was there to pick up the owners bag. He asked if I had looked in Scott's office (the door was closed). He then went into Scott's office, retrieved the bag and handed it to me with a look of disgust. Very unprofessional on DJ's part in my opinion. So based on Scott's lack of knowledge of selling a boat to a Maryland resident and DJ's attitude - I would not recommend North Bay Marina.

When the restaurant is closed, you will need to use a clean porta potty. The area is lovely. It is worth a visit by boat or car.

After our rental, the propeller blade was damaged. Initially, the propeller blade was old and rusty. The front desk guy asked me to pay $265 for the part and labor, and I agreed. I asked for paper receipt for it, and he brought me hand written part' receipt of $365. And he demanded that I must pay $365 because he spent 5 minutes to make the receipt. I was very confused and asked if I could speak with manager. The lady named Katie came out of office, and she said that I should do bank dispute if I wish to. I asked for explanation how the damage cost would go up within 5 minutes, and she closed the door on my face. They did not give any concise explanation why they raised the blade charges. I have never been mistreated as a customer, and I was speechless. She grabbed my credit card and closed the door again on my face. I had to knock on the office door and to beg her to come out of her office as she still had my credit card. She told me that either take ur $20 or leave the property. At the end, I was left with $35 refund from the security deposit and mistreatment. No customer should be treated this way. Not only they charged me total of $810 but also they disrespected me as an individual. I was very embarrassed and I have never experienced such humiliation as a customer. They complained that there was no pump out and only one head and one shower (always locked) and that the slips were overpriced. We were still willing to check it out. We went back the next day to get more info and to look at a boat that was for sale. We had our gentle senior dog on a leash. Two unleashed dogs approached our dog. We asked the dogs' owner to retrieve them but she didn't (was talking on her cell). One of the dogs attacked our dog. Instead of calling back her dogs their owner screamed at us "Get off my private property! I'm going to kick your @ss! It's the off season!". Turns out the dogs' owner is the daughter of the owner of the marina. Apparently she manages it. As we were leaving she called 911 and made a report that we were trespassing. I've never seen anyone act so bizarre and unstable, especially in a *professional* capacity. We will never use this marina.
