Rudy Marine proved me wrong. From the moment I first contacted them, they have been responsive, helpful, courteous, patient, and professional. They have provided the best customer experience I have ever had when dealing with anyone in the boat sales industry. in addition to the amazing customer service, their pricing is very competitive. The quality of service matters a lot to me, and between their top quality service and their prices - one cannot go wrong by choosing Rudy Marine!

North Bay Marina apparently either doesn't know or care about the "service" piece of customer…read moreservice. We found a used pontoon boat they were selling and immediately agreed to pay cash for their asking price. Scott was our salesman. Once the weather cooperated the sea trial with Ray (I believe that was his name) went very well a week later. It turned out the used boat we bought was being brokered by North Bay Marina. They are located in Delaware - I live in Maryland. I asked Scott to ensure I could register the boat in Maryland after the purchase, which he ensured I could. Took possession of the boat and shortly thereafter went to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to register it and pay the sales tax. DNR advised North Bay Marine completed the paperwork wrong as a broker and denied me. By happenstance I ran into DJ (an employee of North Bay Marina) at a store and informed him DNR had denied me to register the boat. DJ's response was DNR doesn't know what they are doing. I thought his response was so nonchalant to me, that it was rude and very off-putting. Finally Scott redid the paperwork the proper way and I was able to return to DNR and register the boat in Maryland properl I returned to North Bay Marina today to pick up my owner's bag the previous owner had dropped off. DJ walked in seeing me standing in the showroom (no one was there, so I was waiting for assistance) and didn't acknowledge me or ask if I needed help. I had to speak up and say I was there to pick up the owners bag. He asked if I had looked in Scott's office (the door was closed). He then went into Scott's office, retrieved the bag and handed it to me with a look of disgust. Very unprofessional on DJ's part in my opinion. So based on Scott's lack of knowledge of selling a boat to a Maryland resident and DJ's attitude - I would not recommend North Bay Marina.

Even the trailer brake calipers were off and tapped to the trailer frame. They told me just to remove them you don't need the brakes. SMH, I submitted an offer with the list and cost for repairs and they refused to submit my offer to the seller. And that's only half of the bad experience .I did receive my deposit back however they were very rude and by not submitting all offers to their seller is very unethical and this would have been our 2nd boat that we bought from them. We will never go back again

1 Star - Absolutely Awful Experience…read more Island Water Sports gave us one of the worst customer service experiences we've ever had. As we were pulling into the dock -- after being stuck in torrential downpours all day because they refused to offer a rain check unless there was thunder -- a staff member started shouting at us, "I hope you have insurance! You've damaged my ladder!" The swim ladder had accidentally been left down, but it was already damaged when we took the boat out. Even after staff inside the office confirmed the damage had been noted earlier, the dockhand, Mike, continued to accuse us and treated us like we had done something wrong. They made us stay in the boat while they took pictures and called it in to the office, repeatedly telling us we were going to have to pay for it. When we were finally allowed off, some of our group went to use the bathroom and were stopped on their way back by another employee, who told them they "weren't allowed to leave." It felt like we were being detained -- over a broken ladder we didn't even damage. At one point I told Mike how rude and unprofessional he was -- and no, I wasn't calm about it. I had every right to speak up after the way we were being treated. Instead of diffusing the situation, he came back at me, even more defensive and condescending. It wasn't until after they embarrassed us and treated us like criminals in front of other guests that we finally got a weak apology. Then, as if that wasn't enough, they actually complained that there was mud on the floorboard from the anchor -- because it had touched the wet deck. First of all, don't they wash the boats down anyway? And second, it was pouring rain all day -- what exactly did they expect? We didn't even complain about the miserable weather -- we paid in full and left without so much as a "Sorry the weather didn't cooperate" or "Hope you still had a good time." Just attitude and accusations. We've rented from other marinas in the area and always had a great experience. Island Water Sports was by far the worst -- rude, accusatory, and completely lacking in basic customer service. I would never rent from them again and absolutely do not recommend them to anyone!

Staff was friendly and courteous when we arrived, and the boat was in tip-top shape. The one-star knock is because they did not have a restroom available for us before our trip, which meant we had to leave the premises for a Royal Farms, then return. Granted we didn't lose a lot of time, but a restroom for clients, even if it's a porta potty, I feel is a necessity.

I feel like a real insider now, because I found the most perfect kayak and sailboat rental place…read more I've been here twice this year I get nothing but great energy from Jen and Mitch; paddling or sailing with them is like being with my own paddle club back on the Ches. I've gotten awesome service from them - whether it's booking a lesson last minute, or asking for a touring yak pre-seasons. Their little shop is adorable and in a perfectly serene location right on the bay. I can't tell you how much this counts for me - city docks and slips are just un-fun and their shop feels like my favorite put-in back home. They are both experienced paddlers and chatting with them is just like chatting with any of the sea kayakers in my paddle club. The Lil-Ass Bay (I'm sorry, I just can't help it) is also a great paddling spot ! With extremely limited boat traffic, and a refuge to it's north, kayaks can relax a bit and focus on observing the wildlife without having to keep their head on a pivot for speeding boaters and fishermen. These same reasons also make it a great place to take sailing lessons and let the wind carry you a bit. I have to admit that I've never actually paid attention to the prices ahead of time. You can tell when you're dealing with Jen, Mitch, or any of their helpers that they are going to be fair and reasonable. So I've always just gone out, come back when I wanted to, and paid and every single time I've been happily surprised at the price. Even the sailing lesson was more affordable than I expected. Paddling here is like paddling with a friend. Will definitely be back on this trip and many future ones. Quite side note about sailing, yes, they do have some rules about sailing as another review posted - not being able to jibe can be a little bit annoying sometimes when you really just want to run or reach down a bit, but it allows them to keep the sailing accessible and affordable to more people, which is important. Can't wait to get back out there again.

I could tell my hip stabilizers & quads had been utilized (from all the balancing) later in the day haha. Reasonable pricing for an hour. For 2 ppl came to like $43. Be prepared to go for an hour cuz they don't have shorter time increments. Or just buy an hr and come back to shore when you're over it. Honestly; you'll need the hour just to acclimate to maneuvering the board. The place also offers glow in the dark paddle boarding! Looks cool but I'd be weary of any sea creatures in the bay at night. I've been watching way too much shark week/fest on Nat Geo lately lol. Only downfall in my opinion is that not all the instructors are made equal. Saw an older man & younger guy teach a couple groups before us and both were very thorough with their paddle board tutorials. This girl that I thought was just another paid customer approached us out of nowhere like "you ready?!"... oh ok no intro. She was quick with her instructions and def got us into the water fast. Seemed like she was ready to clock TF out for the day before she even started. I had fun for my 1st paddle board experience. I didn't fall. Success!I just would've been even better without this girl instructor's negative vibe. Issa whole mood that I wasn't feelin' at all. But she
