We couldn't have asked for a better experience in purchasing our first boat from Midlantic Marine Center. We had stopped by a few weeks ago while in town to see if they had any used inventory, like most places around boats are hard to come by. The moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed..Their sales person Bonnie had just stepped out for lunch but the owner Kurt took the time to talk with us and gather information about what we were interested in trying to find. Fast forward to this past week, we located a used bayliner element at their location and inquired about coming to look at it. Bonnie provided all the information we needed in order to make this happen. When we arrived Friday morning we were once again warmly greeted and shown the boat. Kurt then took us out for a sea trial and was so friendly, helpful and provided us with so much useful information. Both Kurt and Bonnie were extremely patient with us "newbie" boat owners. It was a pleasure working with this professional, helpful and friendly staff. Our son LOVED playing with their dogs, it helped keep him entertained. We will definitely be using them for future boating needs and we highly recommend them to future boat buyers. Thank you all once again for a pleasant experience. After being out of boating for a while, I wasn't sure if I wanted to get back into it. I went to Midlantic Marine and bought an older less expensive pontoon boat. They were very up front about the boat and I felt comfortable buying it. There was an issue with the bimini top that needed repair. It did not come back to the owner Kurt standard, and they put a brand new one on. Above and beyond considering what I paid for the boat. This year I traded it in on a newer pontoon boat. I was very happy with both transactions. Bonnie was very helpful and kept me informed until the boat was delivered last weekend. Both Kurt and Bonnie treated me as if I was buying a new boat. When I'm ready to move up to a newer boat, I will definitely go see Bonnie. Bill B. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service Here is my experience: 1st keep in mind I bought a new boat and motor so I would not have problems on the water. Purchased New Crest pontoon boat, trailer, and Mercury 60 HP motor (serial #1C153342) on 2/17/2013 04/2013 Placed in service 08/09/2013 Guardian system engaged, 6 beeps / Faulty fuel ejector (1 week to fix) 05/13/2014 Steering seized(1 week to fix) Blames on me. I feel steering linkage was not properly greased and/or oiled and sealed by dealer for this to happen in less than a year. 05/10/2015 Guardian system engaged, 6 beeps. (3 weeks to fix) Again blames it on me. Says it is a thermostat and moisture in connectors. 06/05/2015 Put back in water, same problem as above, boat back to dealer for same codes and problems. They than put a new fuel ejector on motor which they should have did back on 05/10/15. 06/13/2015 Picked boat up. So I end up with not having a boat for 5 weeks, plus putting it on and off the trailer, in and out of the water dragging it back and forth. They charge $105 each way to trailer your boat. Did they even apologize for my inconvenience? No! They never called me to advise me of the status of my boat, I always have to call them. I just feel after spending $24,000.00 at a dealership I deserve a little respect. What I don't like the owner of dealership tries to blame everything on me. You see as I had over heard the owner telling shop manager while I was shopping for oil and filter; "does Mr. Smith get all his work done here, Yes, put him in front of list to fix his boat". When I was buying boat he was my best buddy, Jim here is my cell phone # if you need anything. I called him about my warranty/service work on his cell, after telling him who I was, he told me he does not do business on his cell phone call the office. All I get is double talk. He told me I cannot do maintenance work when gold Warranty kicks in, it has to be done by Mercury Dealer. I called Mercury they told me that was not true, to save receipts. His service manager gets caught in lie after lie about ordering parts, what is wrong with engine, etc. They do work on boat and leave console compartment open, they don't even offer to help you connect your boat to your truck. Common sense tells me if fuel injectors keep going bad, there is two possible answers. Either they are made faulty or there is something in engine causing them to go bad. Basically I have lost all confidence in this dealer and will take my boat 200 miles to have warranty work done before I ever use them again. I previous owned a boat for 10 years and had one problem with that engine. I am to the point of having my boat re-rigged for another motor and trade this motor in. Like I said I did not buy a new boat and motor to have all these problems. This place might have some of the rudest staff I've ever encountered. I was considering buying a boat from Midlantic as I put a reserve down on a boat that needed to have motor work done. As I questioned the contract they wrote up I noticed I needed to sign and commit to buy the boat before they fixed the boat. As I asked Bonnie on the phone when the part would come she had no idea, so I couldn't have my mechanic come and run test on the motor. As I asked why should I pay a mechanic to look at a unfixed motor she paused and said hold on. As she came back on the phone Bonnie decided to hold the contract over my head and say I have the contract here and if you can't commit we can refund you your deposit! I want to say that I can't be happier with my pontoon boat purchase from Mid Atlantic Marine! I first made contact with them at the Ocean City Boat Show last year. I saw a 22' fishing edition pontoon boat on display and I was hooked. The staff that I met there was very friendly and answered all my questions. They had sold the boat on display but assured me they had something at the dealership that would be a great fit. I stopped by one day and Kurt told me he had the right boat for me, which he did. I was able to purchase the same type of boat that I saw at the show. Not only is it great for fishing but great for cruising, enjoying the water, and my wife loves it also. Bonnie and Curt really made me feel comfortable with my purchase and I love our boat. Stop by the boat show or the dealership and I am sure that you will find what you are looking for. When I went to pick up the boat everything was in working order, they had there mechanic go over and inspect the boat with me. Boat and paperwork was ready to go. I took my boat to Midlantic for a running problem with my motor. The boat was there from June 5th all the way through to the beginning of August...two months. Every time I called to check on the boat they had an excuse as to why it wasn't done. They tried this, they tried that and could not fix the problem. In the mean time I was missing the boating season and my boat was left exposed to the elements in their yard. Finally in August I was fed up with the excuses and went to take my boat back...they would not release it without me first paying $1,200 for services rendered!! What Services!! They were incompetent and cost me an entire season on the water and I had to pay these incompetent losers $1,200!! They should have paid ME! So, I paid them and took my FILTHY boat to Bob's Marine in Ocean View. Within three days they had determined the problem, and a week later I was on the water. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! The service techs are incompetent, management is full of excuses and clueless, and the "owner" couldn't care less. Got a problem? Go to Bob's Marine in Ocean View...trust me. read more
