WARNING:Do Not Hire Eric H (?) (supposed owner of PH2 Pools AKA PH 2 Decking -with other possible…read morefake companies. HE TOOK MONEY UP FRONT AND BARELY DID ANYTHING before abandoning the project. He took advantage of my nephew, who has some cognitive deficits and is permanently disabled. Sadly, my nephew is very trusting. Eric took advantage of this and made up a "contract" and presented it to my nephew to sign. He also persuaded him to pay $9000.00 CASH up front. He told my nephew it was for 50% of the labor and cost of the materials yet the total of the contracted services was $9300. After reading all the texts between my nephew and Eric from April to early August & the myriad of excuses he gave for not showing up-(my gosh, it took him until late June to even put the pilings in)- I can speculate that there has not been one truthful word come out of Eric Hart's mouth. I've never personally experienced this level of dishonesty. It appears he preys on those most vulnerable the elderly, disabled and vulnerable population. We have reported this to the police and APS and are preparing documentation to file a lawsuit against Eric Hart and his so-called business. The small amount of work that was done is all poor quality per a legitimate home inspector. You can see much of this, even if you don't have any building experience. My nephew is a vulnerable adult. He saved forever to be able to build a small deck, & add hand rails and new steps next to his mobile home. We are determined to do everything we can to prove that my nephew deserves all his money back. In the meanwhile, we don't want this to happen to anyone else so I am posting it to a couple social media sites to warn others.

Very disappointed in this company, especially the proprietor, Alan. I laid down THOUSANDS of…read moredollars for repairs and a new liner install. It became evident that there were flaws, and I first contacted Alan in May to notify him and ask him to come back to make the necessary corrections. My brand new liner was slipping loose, coming untucked and sliding into the pool, especially the deep end. Not just a little inch-long spot here and there; seriously long areas throughout the rim, and almost the entire width of the pool under the diving board, were coming undone. He had shoved what looks like broken Popsicle sticks in an attempt to get the liner to stay put in one corner, and this was basically the only area that was actually holding. Alan replied to my initial text by requesting photographs, which I sent the day he asked for them. I waited about 3 days and reached out to Alan again because I had not heard from him. When he finally did reply, he was very curt and indicated that I live too far away, it would take at least 5 hours with travel time, and he just couldn't do it in May as that is his busy season. I didn't realize how far he had traveled (in retrospect I don't feel that's my problem, either) but I am also a small business owner and I understand busy seasons. I waited patiently, then made several more attempts to reach Alan by both phone call and text to find out when he could come and correct the errors. I even asked if he has an associate who could help, or if he had any referrals he could provide for me. He has not replied to any of my messages. It is now August. His disrespect and disregard for me and my situation (after I spent so much money!!) leave me puzzled. I don't understand how a business owner can leave a customer with a major issue, an issue that he created, and I really don't understand how a business owner just completely blows off a good customer. I just bought this house with the huge in-ground pool, I could have been a client for years! It appears that Alan Marshall doesn't care about you, your project, or doing a good job. All Alan Marshall cares about is collecting your hard-earned money. Beware if you are considering hiring Marshall Pools to do work for you.

2017 Update: After much discussion and several visits, we…read moredid receive a refund for the "extra electrical" that their subcontractor charged us on the spot, for electrical that was already included in our contract with Midwest. We also received a refund for the drainage repair we paid for after the Midwest workers crushed a large PVC drainage tube and then covered it up without telling us. Product-wise, we've been happy with the fiberglass pool. Granted, we've only had it open for one season. We also invested in a power cover, and although we're happy with the added level of safety, I'm a little concerned with the quality of the actual mechanics. We'll see how long it lasts. Here is some advice if you're planning on going with Midwest: 1 - Ask for a name and number of the Midwest employee that will be overseeing you're entire installation, and make sure they're at your house when the subcontractors are working. Most of our issues wouldn't have happened if their subcontractors were properly supervised by a Midwest employee. After all, that is what you're paying Midwest to do. 2 - Get everything in writing. Even if it's for something small. The labor to close our pool was already covered by an addendum, but we had to prove it on three separate occasions.
