Love this place- every time I have gone I have received a high quality manicure (have never gotten a pedi). They are clean, efficient and do a really nice job. I found Princess Nails to be clean, welcoming, and had a wide variety of gel nail colors. My nail technician was rude, rushed, and frankly had an off putting attitude the entire time. The reason for the three stars is that the time and effort put into the manicure was not great. My nails are messy around the edges, the hand massage lasted less than two minutes, and I felt uncomfortable asking for my preferences because of the poor attitude of my technician. Typically I've had good experiences there but there's a woman that's done my nails twice and she's rude. She acted like I was a bother to her. Overall okay experience. I will say, the first time I went my nails were great, the shellac lasted almost 3 weeks! This last time I went I wasn't so impressed, I felt like I went to a drive thru to get my nails done. They were done so quickly that the job wasn't as good, my cuticles got painted and the shellac polish is chipping and lifting before a week has even gone by. I wanted to try a new place, so I called ahead to make an appointment for my friend and I to get our nail done together. We arrived and we were right away put on opposite sides of the salon. I picked out a light peachy color, number 404 and was getting a "powder dip manicure". The receptionist put number 404 in front of me and I instantly thought it was much more darker pink. My nail tech came over and started by asking me what shape nails I wanted. After only buffing my nail beds, he started the dipping polish step right away. I was very confused because he didn't touch my cuticles at all or even have me soak my hands, nothing. As he applied the color, he started chatting with the two nail techs on either side of me, and they started to look over repeatedly at my nails and talk back to him. After that, he gets up and comes back with a lighter pink color.. Then continues to put 2 more coats of dip on my nails, which made no visual difference. He talks to nail techs again and they look at my nails over and over. They must of noticed that the color was off and tried to fix it to make it lighter instead of re-doing it. He barely filed them down or shaped them, and my thumb nails are completely different lengths. To top it off he pulled out a file that was clearly white with use from other clients.. Unsanitary. My friend saw a tech take a used nail file, "sanitize it" by barely dipping it in disinfectant and then closed it up in a zip bag marked "sanitary". I paid and on my way out I checked the nail color swatch I had picked (404) and compared it to the nail color on my nails and it was absolutely not the same. I essentially paid $35 for a polish change of the wrong color, and didn't even receive what a 'manicure' includes. I won't be returning. read more

My girlfriends and I booked manicures ahead of time at Princess Nails for our Prom -- when we arrived at our designated time we were asked to wait....we waited for an entire hour before being seated. The station was covered in nail clippings and acrylic dust -- it was a complete mess. We continued to wait at our stations for an additional 20 minutes before our service was started. My technician was not friendly, did not smile. The only thing she said to me the entire time was that she was "very hungry." I felt sorry for the girl. My manicure came out okay. The service itself was executed quickly but without much care. My acrylics came out lumpy. The drill tore up my cuticles. No lotion, no cuticle oil. I'd book elsewhere. read more

So I have come to Princess Nails a million times and have always loved the service and the cleanliness of the salon. They always do a great pedicure and gel manicure, which was no different today. Since I have found the salon to be satisfactory on my nails, I decided I was going to get my eyebrows waxed. This was a slightly different experience. First of all the wax was so hot it burned my skin. Secondly she put so much wax on me that she waxed almost my entire eyelid and forehead. Lastly, she didnt apply anything to the waxed area to cool it down or wipe the excess wax off me. Instead she wiped my face really hard with a paper towel and told me I was done. I decided to try a new place and made an appointment for a pedicure for myself and my friend. That is the only positive part of the experience. The technician took at total of 20 minutes to do the pedicure and she didn't cut my nails, remove dead skin, or remove my cuticles. The nail polish ran into the corners of my nails and looks terrible. My friend had a similar experience including her polish came off in a total piece on two nails. This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever walked into. Although they were quick to get started on my nails, the lady had no personality and she was extremely rude. The tools that she used were rusty with previous skin particles stuck on it. I asked for a new set of tools and she ignored me. The hot hand cloth was oddly stained brown and smelled like wet dog. When the lady was working on my cuticles she stabbed me a few times in the same spot! What is even worse is the fact that I asked for my nails to be shaped square...and they came out uneven and noticeably slanted. Can I give a zero-star rating? This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I'm no longer living in the area, but when I visited family/friends recently this is where we went to get a mani/pedi. The woman who greeted us (I assume she is the manager) was professional and welcoming. From the moment she left me in the pedicure chair I wanted to leave. The woman doing my nails was rude/unfriendly and the entire time she made fun of my color choice. She wasn't secretive about it; she mentioned it and motioned to my feet anytime anyone came near her AND she even made a comment to my mother. I finally said something to her because she was being so horribly rude. Beyond her rudeness (because I can deal with rudeness if the quality is high), she did a terrible job. She basically just painted my nails after doing *maybe* 5 minutes of cuticle maintenance. Within a few days, the shellac was peeling. VERY disappointed. I decided to try here since it had 2 5-star reviews. I must agree that my tech was rude and found the other techs around us to be rude as well. My mani and pedi were the worst I have ever received. I had a chipped nail so asked him to fix - he couldn't be bothered. Very messy nails, and the pedi was far from enjoyable. This place was the worst experience I have ever had in all my life. It was my first time ever coming to princess nails and it took a very long time for my nail technician to be all done. The end result was awful my nails looked horrendous. I felt very bad to say something so I just left and asked the advice of my friends. My friends had the same comments as I had felt. Only then did I have the encouragement to return and speak with the manager. When I spoke to the manager she was very unprofessional. She began to state that there was absolutely nothing with wrong with my nails and that she would do nothing about it. She was obviously unaware of the customer is always right philosophy. When I was speaking to the manager about this issue there was other customers that were standing by. The manager refused to do anything about it but told me next time that I came in to have my nails filled that she would give me a discounted price. I knew the only reason that she had said that is because she wanted to look good in front of the other customers. Nonetheless I had went in to have my nails filled and was relying on the discounted price that she had stated before. When I returned I asked the manager if she remembered who I was and she stated yes. She asked what I wanted to have done and I told her and reminded her that she said that it would be discounted. She almost ignored me completely and then she went and dealt with other customers. I went and sat down and almost 15 minutes later she told me to sit at seat 4. After sitting she had a gentleman come over to put tinfoil and acetone on my nails to take the nails off. I was kind of wondering what the reason was why they were taking my nails off completely but nobody would tell me a thing. I kept stopping the manager on numerous occasions trying to ask her what was going on and to tell her what I was looking for and also told her that I've been waiting for a very long time. She kept ignoring me and walking by and dealing with new customers that we're coming into the building instead of dealing with me. I knew that she did not foresee me as a paying customer because she knew she was supposed to Discount the price at the end. I finally walked up to her and told her that I had been sitting and waiting for going on close to an hour and a half. She told me that I needed to have the tin foil and acetone on my nails for at least 20 minutes. she then told me that I had not been waiting there that long and that we could look at the cameras . Again I told her that I had been sitting there close to an hour and a half and I wanted to know how much longer it was going to be. She stated that she would get to me after she was done with the customer that needed just one nail fixed. That was also a new customer that had just walked in. I just bit my tongue and sat back down. After she was done with that new customer she came and sat down at my table. She took all the tinfoil off of my fingers and began to drill all the old nails off. After she had drilled all the old nails off she began to look at me and asked me the same question that she has been asking me for the past 2 hours at that point. Which was how I wanted my new nails to be. I told her I wanted a French manicure and I already had told you that I wanted the dip. She got into a fight with me stating that I obviously didn't know what I wanor years and years and I knew exactly what I wanted. She again took a very loud tone with me and said no I'm not going to do your nails you obviously don't know what you want. At this point she had already taken off my old Nails my whole entire set and now I just had my natural nails that were all scuffed up. It was going on over 2 hours at this point and I had absolutely nothing done except my fake nails taken off which would cost extra to put a new set on now at a different nail salon, which wasn't something I was planning on financially seeing's how I was just laid off. I was planning on that manager holding up to her deal at discounting the price at the end. Although the technicians were friendly I found their manicures are too costly and didn't last too long. I got a liquid gel manicure and the tech told me I could come in at any time if I needed a fix or anything and gaurented my satisfaction. He was very friendly and talked to me and my bf.... His name was Pat. Shortly after I paid and left I was looking at my nails and found a hair in my nail... Ewe! He reluctantly fixed them but didn't seen to impressed. Then 2 days later two of my nails chipped but when I came in he wasn't even working and I had to wait about 30 mins for someone to fix it. Even though when I called they said I could just walk and and they would fix it. Not sure it was worth it or if Ill be back again especially since when I came back the tech totally ignored me! This place used to be great until the new owner took over. She is not only rude, but she appears put out by all customers. I have been going to a certain technician for 3 years and I am considering looking for another nail salon because of the owners poor attitude. I went in for a fill and pedicure. My pedicure was done immediately after which time the owner reported that I would have to come back on the following day for the fill.....REALLY! I am a working professional and don't have the time to return twice for a service that could be done in one visit. If she knew that was the case, I should have been informed at the onset. Not happy at all :( Been looking for a good nail salon in the area. The tech (male) seemed irritated with me, rushed through the shellac (start to finish the process was about 15 minutes), he only put two coats on when it was clear that three were needed to achieve the color on the sample, gave a maximum of 45 seconds under the UV light for each coat, painted the edge of my finger with no cleanup, slapped some lotion on my hands and called it a day. The edges began lifting after 5 days and by the sixth day, I couldn't brush my hair without it getting caught under my nails...ugh. Removed the shellac myself and won't be back. Was thinking about trying this place for a while, finally went in as a walk-in. They were quick to take me and quick to do services, but despite some renovations they are undergoing I thougt place was dirty. Used same tools on each person without sanitizing. Got a brow wax in a room that they used as a break room, food everywhere! Gross! They didn't even close the door for privacy, and she didn't even hand me a mirror at the end to look at my eye brows. I've been to this salon several times because it's convenient. They are inconsistent at best. The mani/pedis are rushed and don't usually last long. The last time I was there, I had a male technician actually YELL at me because he apparently thought that I was trying to pay the woman who did my nails less than the price...which I would never do. The owner of the salon came over and apologized explaining, "he's a man, he has a bad temper" ????excuse me? Then the sweet young girl who was doing my manicure waited for him to be out of earshot, then whispered "I'm so sorry", when she had done nothing wrong. This mans rudeness to me was less upsetting to me than the way the women that worked there seemed afraid of him, and we're trying it make excuses for him. What a disappointment! My friend and I were looking forward to spending a relaxing time after work as promised on their website. Their website is misleading. The rows of TVs were blasting with an annoying game show for the time we were there and the massage controllers were worn-out and broken. Extremely disappointed . . . . what began as a day of self-pampering with a professional nail service for myself, very quickly became a day of disappointment and major unpleasantness with Princess Nails & Spa. The initial male nail tech assigned to do my fill was unpleasant, hostile, condescending, and apparently, very inexperienced & not on the job for very long, as he initially cut & gouged his way through my nail fill. After several arrogant & effacing comments by this initial nail tech, and several requests that he not injure me during the process, I suggested that someone else complete the service. I was referred haughtily , and without sensitivity to effective customer service, to the supposed manager, who finished the service without incident. He completed the service kindly with sensitivity, and without further injury to my fingers or nails. In retrospect, I should have read ALL of the one and two star reviews far more thoroughly before going in for the service. read more

This is the WORSE nail salon I have ever been to! Yes, I agree that the technicians are great, but the owner really just ruined my experience. I've been here a couple of times, and everytime I come, the owner is yelling at her techinicians about something, or just yelling in general. Very unprofessional. She is unbelievable rude to everyone, and always argues with you no matter what. I feel that this place is a HUGE rip off. A regular pedicure should be at least 30 mins long, but when it gets busy, she goes around rushing the technicians and the customers end up getting 15-20 min long pedicures. What kind of BS is that? I also noticed when I went to pay, that she is on freakin match.com and other random dating websites looking for a guy. Like seriously, do that on your own time, at home in private. Not only did the man doing my nails cut me twice (with his own nails so this is twice as gross) but he stopped the service FOUR times to pull out his phone and text for several minutes. On addition to these things I am a Cosmetology student and recognized several sanitation violations that could lead to infection, such as they were NOT cleaning their tools in between customers and were keeping them in drawers that had money in them and in Altoid tins and not federally approved container. As for their customer service, they were having a busier day and got me right in. What I didn't like was that I was moved multiple times to different stations and even through the original woman I talked to wrote down the polish I had selected I had to tell several more people before actually getting the one I had asked for. I honestly should have gotten up and left when I noticed these things and wish I had since those cuts are red and inflamed, which is not enjoyable when I am trying to work. And if you are thinking "its just one of those angry customers who is never happy with the service" this is the first review I have written and I have gotten plenty of bad services. Well this was my first time at Princess Nails, and it was also my last. Sat down at the table and had my nails filed, the nail clippers and cuticle clippers were what appeared to be in sterile wrapper which impressed me. Upon looking closer one edge of the sterile wrapper was never sealed and there was another persons skin (a lot of it) in the cuticle clippers. I let the manicurist know who instantly began speaking with her co-worker in her own language while walking over to the sink. I can't be positive, but I am pretty sure that she simply washed them off and came back to the table. I allowed for her to do my nails, and had shellac done. I have had shellac probably ten other times, and this was a very poor job. Several nails had dents in them, and there were also several areas of skin that had dried on shellac. The environment seems like it could be the perfect place to go; however, a combination of poor skills, poor hygiene, and poor manners made the place a failure. read more

Okay first of all I came in the salon and it looked very unorganized and employees were scattered around everywhere. The person that was doing my manicure and pedicure sat me down and ask me what nail color I choose after I showed him the color when I first walked in. He gave me attitude and told me that I needed to pick a color I showed him again. When he was giving me my pedicure I was on my phone. When he wanted to get my attention he would slap my leg. When it came to my manicure I sat down and he made me soak my fingers in this soap solution. As I did this he left to use the restroom (which obviously isn't a problem) but when he exited the bathroom he went to a mirror and started playing with his hair. Luckily a young girl came up to him and told him it wasn't hair time. When he came back he did my nails but then he would look over and watch the video that was playing on the tv. He sent me to dry my nails on the machine but instead of helping me with it he just told me how to use the machine myself. When my nails where supposedly dried I left the salon. When I got home I noticed that the man forgot to paint my pinky toe. And that most of my nails nicked and got smudged because I didn't know how to work the machine because he just told me to run it twice. I can honestly say that the sketchy nail salon in concord Walmart is better than this one. And trust me the nail salon there is nasty and made me bleed on my cuticles which made my nails sore. DO NOT GO HERE! I give A+ an F! Their terrible customer service and tacky decor should have given me a clue as to what I was in for, but I'm a trusting gal. I walked in, after calling to make an appointment, and am greeted by a rude woman. After using their facilities I went back to the front of the building, only to get two very uncomfortable looks by two strange gentlemen with extremely tight shirts of whom I could only assume worked there. They had about 7 TVs playing two Netflix movies the entire time I was there. There was a boy playing with his girlfriends feet in the corner of the building yelling strange things. I saw probably a dozen people come out of a back room at one point. (Who may or may not be living there.) And what's up with the kiddie chairs?? One of the rude men finally guided me to chair 1, which I noticed was not cleaned after its prior occupant. This made me question the overall cleanliness of this establishment. Although the person helping me was pleasant, they did not ask me my preference of shape or length, and just kind of went at it. My nails looked good, but not $70 good. After this experience was over, I was eager go home and create a Yelp account so I could share this experience with others. read more
