This young man took care of a toe I had fractured a few months before (it had healed), and made sure to be gentle with it. I paid for a $55 pedicure. For me it was one of the poorest quality I have had. The appointment was for 3:30. I was out by 4. Hardly any massage. The aggressive scrubbing on the feet was minimal. Very unhappy for the price. $15 for gel has been the most I've had to pay anywhere. read more

I have tried numerous times to make an appointment and every time I go for my appointment time they are already busy or taking walkins before me. Never enough staff to accommodate. If you are going to take appointments you should honor them. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and second chances but my second chances are up. read more

Someone recommended that I go here as I was not familiar with nail salons in the area. I figured why not. I wanted a gel mani. So yesterday I showed up in the morning...and waited. And waited. And waited. One hour and 15 minutes later they took me in. Now I am not giving 2 stars because of that however I will say that it didn't help matters. If you know Feb vacation is beginning, just staff a couple more people. But they could have cared less if I were there all day to be honest. On to the review: The woman was VERY rough. I think it was the owner. I have cuts around my nail bed and now I have an infection starting from the nail bed going down my finger. I understand you are in a rush but CALM. DOWN. You may have skin tough like leather but I don't (her skin is beautiful but I am speaking of the toughness aspect). And being so focused on moving quickly that you disregard my physical comfort. The manicure itself is average to below average. She filed my nails down way too much and any length I had is now gone. A lot of imperfections along the nail bed and I can already see when it grows out in a week it is going to crack and peel because of the poor quality. I have 2 stars instead on 1 because the girl (a white woman with brown hair I believe...not sure of her name) who works the front was kind enough to try and make the situation better. She apologized for the wait. She tried very hard to smooth over the situation and I do appreciate her excellent customer service skills. Regardless please do not go here. I went to Polished Nails & Skin for the first time today with a friend for mani pedis and we had a great time! The staff were friendly and professional, the place was super clean and we got in right on time! The ombre that I wanted to do was a little too dark to show up so we ended up just going with a black-and-white design and I LOVE how it came out!! The salon is super clean, the folks are really nice, and the prices are really fair. But there are issues. We had manicure and pedicures. The pedis were phenomenal. The manicures were not worth the price at all. No matter how much my friend and I explained what we wanted... it wasn't done. We gave up explaining and determined we would have to fix it all ourselves when we got home. The biggest problem is that we both had issues with the nails not being fully glued down so they already (within hours) started to chip up. We'll go back for pedicures, but not manicures. read more

I have had at least 5 shellac pedicures here and have recommended many friends to use this salon. I went this week and that same day in the shower my polish lifted off all of my toes. When I looked at my toenails and they were cut horrific I went into the salon and they said that was my fault and they would either repaint my toenails then or give me a $15 gift certificate I told them my nails were too short to paint right now it would be painful. They took zero responsibility and were very rude to me I will not be going back and I will let all my friends know. I would post a picture but my toes are so scary It will take all winter to grow before I can paint them again. Since the salon decided to submit their take on our exchange I decided to show you the toe in question. Pedicures are $38. Not $15. There is no rating low enough for this place. They don't give you what you pay for and have the nerve to ask "why you no tip" My mani and pedi are both disgusting. Tracy cut my finger during the mani. They are also dirty and don't disinfect after each client. There was dirt and watermelon seeds in my pedi water. After I left they recharged my credit card for a tip I did not authorize. They also refused to return my credit card or give me a receipt all because I refused to give a $5 tip. Terrible experience. I was rushed in and out. I showed them what I wanted and was told yes I can do that, then three different people got in on doing my nails! What? Weird. I paid for the gel manicure and they didn't give me a manicure, they just painted my nails. They also left paint on my skin. I could have done a better job, my kid could have done a better job actually. When I was asked "this ok?" I said no and they got offended, WIPED OFF THE PAINT with a cloth and put and other coat on over her horrible design ( you can see this in my photo) took my money and sent me out the door very unsatisfied. I usually really love this place but yesterday had one of the worst experiences. I did take in to consideration that it is a holiday weekend, so ahead of time I made an appointment for myself and two other guests. We arrive 15 minutes before our set appointment time, as that is usually the etiquette to do so, and waited in the waiting area for 30 minutes. While we were waiting multiple walk ins came one after another and they were honoring them before myself and my party (with set appointments). We finally get seated at a nail station and wait yet another 15-20 minutes. We decided to leave as we had commitments in the next hour to attend to. As we walked away one of the technicians said they were going to work on us now, as she was working on another customer. We told them we were leaving because waiting 45 minutes for our reservation was just a little extreme. They need to tweak their system and start honoring appointments, before walk ins. They just don't seem to have it under control like other nail salons. Which is unfortunate. read more

Now, two weeks later, the nails still look amazing. No chips, no peeling. The only way you can tell I didn't just get them done is because my nails have grown a little since getting them done. So I have had acrylic nails for 30 years. I decided to try new place. I had a new set of nails (2 weeks) and wanted french style where acrylic new and looked good...a little sloppy in edges but ok, After grinding shelac off tech insists on new set saying that They were sloppy and 1 crooked so said ok. It took him 2 1/2 hours! I repeatedly asked for french- 8 or more times. He insisted on hombre. I finally caved and said fine. He showed me samples, I chose white tip with sparkles and said I LOVED IT! He put on new set, showed me a pink color on phone and said he would do that with sparkles. He put opaque white acrylic on tips, pink with sparkle acrylic on nailbed. Now I will need to have this pink soaked off to do french or let grow out. The look is pretty but TOTALLY not what I repeatedly asked for. He charged me $60! For his 2 1/2 hours I gave him $20 tip...should have looked closer at nails. They had drips underneath, were wavy, crooked and a terrible job. I went back next day where they had his wife fix. She would not talk to me and was very rough. It was not my fault he did such a horrible job- easily the WORST ever in 30 years! I had to return 2 days later after the crooked nail she replaced broke. She fixed it for me and I gave her $10 for her trouble. I was leary but wanted to give salon another chance. Asked for fill 2 weeks later, black shelac paint with glitter over. She said the fill would be $40 and I better not come back to complain!!! Expensive but I hoped that now that it would be worth it and gave her $10 tip because the polish was pretty and she did take her time doing and followed direction. Nope. Nails bumpy and uneven. Shelac peeling after 1 hour and there was no shine to polish where top coat was not fully applied. I went back next day to fix tip where polish peeling. She said too busy and come back later. I did and returned 1 1/2 hours later and she (Owner Traci) says I will have to wait for others who are waiting ahead of me???? She had me come back why???? I left disgusted and will NEVER return again. Ladies, take these reviews to heart. They make you feel like it is your fault they did a crappy job. If I figure out how to add pictures I will, yes Traci, I am sooo happy I saved them. Oh, and be aware they prefer cash for all including tip with postings "No tip on credit cards" and have a buy 6 cash get discount card clearly so they can avoid paying proper taxes on their earnings. So in 2 weeks I am into nails that are uneven (I was going to deal with) peeling black shellac over white acrylic for $140 that look like absolute sh*t and have pink powder that will have to grow out before I can ever have a french manicure again. This place was easily the WORST I have EVER experienced and I have never cried about bad nails until today. They are truly horrible. Wish I could leave a zero but it can't and even that would not be low enough. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Oh, salon clean and pretty but that doesn't fix a bad nail job by techs I recognize as fired by my old technician who while a bit more expensive truly cares that you are satisfied. Went on a Monday morning before work without an appointment, and was out within an hour. I got a powder dip manicure, and the tech did a fairly good job. She didn't cut my cuticles, and didn't remove all of my current polish before she started applying the powder but it came off after two days. The application of the top coat could have been more thorough, but I'll just check a little more closely before leaving the salon next time! I was hoping 3rd time was a charm! Well it was not! Was told the wait would be 10-15 minutes! A hour later I still was not helped! I have been using this Solon for several years now. It has met my standard in cleanliness. The salon also has kept up-to-date and new polishes and new trends. However lately it seems like every time I go there I have to wait an hour or more to get my nails done. I understand being short staffed however when people walk in after you and get done before you there is a problem. Especially when it's the same service. (Acrylic fill) Three visit visits ago I got a new set. And spent $55 plus tip on a brand new set that almost all the nails chipped within a day. Then two nails break in several places. In the 15 years that I've hav been getting my nails done I've never had this happen. I went back two weeks later and had it fixed and I was blamed for the issue. I still waited a long time to be helped however I was happy with the fill. I was at the salon for almost 4 hours. Unfortunately the other day I went will be my last time using this salon. Waiting an hour with no service now what a waste of time. I know this will not effect the the salons business. But now when people ask who do I go to to get my nails done it will NOT be Polished. Wishing that I could give zero stars. This was my first time here and though the people seemed friendly, they were very rushed because of how busy it was. I paid $100 for a mani-pedi that has bumps, bubbles, doesn't cover the whole nail and my cuticles look almost as they did before I went in! The next day, I had a very bad infection in at least two of my toes from the pedicure and the paint immediately started peeling off! When I called to get my money back, I was told that they don't give refunds and implied that it was my fault that I got an infection because I trimmed my toenails before going in! She then told me that I could go back in and they would give me another pedicure but that I only had seven days to go back in or they wouldn't honor it. Tracy gave me her cell number and wanted pictures of my toes because she didn't believe that I actually had an infection in my toes. I sent pictures and the only response I got was, "Sorry. You can come down and we'll give you another pedicure". When I texted back and said that I wasn't comfortable with them touching my feet again and that I would prefer to just get my money back, I got no response. So now I'm not only out $100 for a terrible job and an infection but now I have to incur doctor bills because of what they did! read more

I've been going to polish nails for almost 2 years. I've had mani's I've had pedi's and they have all been good to excellent. A couple of weeks ago I had the best manicure that I have had since going there. The nail tech really had his work cut out for him. My nails were a disaster - I had waited too long to come in for a mani. When he was done I could not believe it. My nails have never looked better! I'll continue to go to Polished Nails for my manis every 2 to 3 weeks, because I know I will always get top-notch service. I had an appointment with Tracey but Tracey (who was recommended to me) did not do my nails. I am only giving them stars because my pedicure was great. My manicure was a horrible experience. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they were confident that it was ombre and they would do it. Then, when I picked the colors to match the picture, they told me I had to pick my colors from a different basket that didn't have colors to match the picture. They were rude, they yelled at me and the lady who was there threw colors into a basket that i was looking in! I ended up choosing a solid shellac color and not getting what i wanted at all. They gave me a lotion at the end. This was a girls night splurge for my birthday and it was a terrible experience. I will never go there again. My first  visit went well.  Had a female tech.  Place seems clean etc.  Nails looked good.  My second visit not so good.  Had a man who was in a hurry.   Instead of waiting for me to take my hands out he would pull the UV light sideways fast.  He clipped my fingers with the machine repeatedly.  The polish was ragged on all the edges and looked unprofessional.  I paid in cash and rather than give me my change, as I stood with my hand out, he pocketed it and said "tip!". read more

I wish I'd read the reviews before I went there the other day. I got a mani pedi for a wedding and specifically pointed out a blister I had on my foot that I wanted her to leave alone... She ended up buffing it, OMG the pain, it opened and is now an open sore and I'm still feeling it days later. As far as my nails go, the polish was super sloppy, it was a glitter polish, not mixed well, so it was gloopy on one nail and nice and glittery and subtle on other nails, and it also didn't really reach the end of my nails consistently. She was wearing glasses for the polish, I think she may need a new scrip, plus like 4 of my fingers were sore like the cuticles were cut wrong. It looks like a really beautiful place, and there's tons of pedicure chairs, but I will definitely be going somewhere else next time. read more

I've gotten acrylics there for a few years and for a while they were really good (stayed on full two weeks) but my last couple visits have been terrible. My last visit the nail guy cut my finger and acted surprised when I started bleeding..and the nails only stayed on for one week. The time before that the nail guy completely disregarded what shape I wanted and those only stayed on for one week. I have never bled but today I left with four painful fingers with blood. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday morning so my friend and I were confused why we were being so rushed and rough with. If I could give this 0 stars I would. I got a dip on my nails. A day later it chipped so I went early the next day. I walk in and tell the women that my nail chipped she's like "oh I remember you" the guy who did your nails isn't here yet, give him 20. I said is there no way you can do it? She responds, "no, I did not do your nails so I can't, he has to. I'm like this is so bizarre. So I sit down and wait ten minutes passes and she's like he's actually not working today. I was like are you serious? I even offered to pay and tip her for fixing it and she still said no. I didn't do your service. I am so upset, I drove 25 minutes to get this fixed and she couldn't have helped me. She didn't apologize or anything. I've been to polished nails many times, and had probably one or two good experiences. I left this place months ago to try somewhere else because I had had enough of their terrible service. I thought i would try it again because I remembered the nice ambiance and the cleanliness was very nice, I'll give them that. But my most recent experience goes as such. ..I went in at 10:30am and they immediately sat me.. I waited 20 minutes before anyone wrapped my current nails, then at 11:45 a guy came and finally started to do my nails. To which I expressed I want to shorten them please but I don't want square I want them round, so he dipped my nails (literally like 5 times mind you) and didn't sand them after, and while filing cut me two different times in the corner and I left there with LUMPY, very square nails, and bleeding in two different spots. Mind you I paid 40 dollars for this bull. I didn't know what to do, so I left at 1 in the afternoon. Next morning I decided to go back so I could have them fixed and I was the first one there, and the lady said we can't fix them, the two working don't do dip..so people started coming in and asking for dip and signing in and the lady said yes yes sit down!! I am not one to freak out, I rarely speak up but with a room full of people that were about to have the worst 3 hour experience of their life I spoke up. I said so you're saying yes to all of these poor folks that are going to have to wait to get nails like this!? The lady flat out said I sat them but I can't do anything for them, and I said to everyone in there, I suggest you all leave now and go somewhere else. And went elsewhere and had to pay for another nail experience.. but they came out beautiful. Go to princess nails. This place sucks, get your shit together.
