My daughter came in to get her wisdom teeth removed and was absolutely terrified. There were several moments where I thought she might refuse to go through with it, but Dr. Yagoubian and his team showed so much compassion, patience, and understanding. Instead of turning us away, they took the extra time to talk to her, soothe her anxiety, and gave her medication to help calm her down so they could complete the procedure smoothly. They truly went above and beyond for us! If you or anyone in your family needs oral surgery or dental work, this is 100% the place to go. Huge thank you to Dr. Yagoubian and the entire team for taking such wonderful care of my daughter!

I went back hoping they would help determine what was happening, especially since the implant and bone graft were originally done by their office. Instead, I was told that I would need to pay around $500 for a CT scan before they could properly evaluate the problem because my insurance does not cover the scan. I understand that everyone's body responds differently and that complications can happen even when a procedure is performed correctly. What disappointed me was how the situation was handled. After already paying for an implant and bone graft here, I did not expect to have to spend another $500 just to investigate why the graft they placed may now be failing...before even knowing what additional treatment or costs might be necessary. Their explanation was essentially that everyone's body is different and unfortunately this is how they have to proceed. While I understand that medically, from a patient/customer-service perspective I would have appreciated some consideration given that this involves work their office performed only about two years ago and spending over $5000 on the procedure out of pocket. I wasn't expecting them to automatically redo everything for free. I was simply hoping they would show more willingness to help determine what went wrong without immediately putting another significant cost on me just to evaluate it. Unfortunately, this has also caused me to lose confidence in having the procedure redone by the same office. My concern is that if I pay for the scan, then pay again for additional treatment, and the same issue happens again in the future, I could continue layering additional costs on top of what I've already spent. At that point, I don't feel comfortable taking that chance. Because of that, I feel like I'm left with little choice but to seek a second opinion and potentially have the corrective work done by a different oral surgeon. I would rather start with another provider than continue investing more money into the same office when I no longer feel confident about the long-term outcome. Overall, the experience left me disappointed, particularly because I returned to the original surgeon expecting some level of support with a problem involving work their office performed only about two years ago.

I can agree with those comments that say he's absolutely great in every aspect he's gentle, understanding, and doesn't push procedures you don't need like others do. Almost every time I've gone to him for over 10 years he's been the best with all my dental needs as well as my families. As a small practice I understand why he doesn't take any new clients cause his hours and his family needs are important and I understand that and respect that. When it comes to the front office it can be a bit frustrating & upsetting at times when phones aren't answered during work hrs or when appointments are canceled so last minute. I understand there are emergencies but contacting patients is important as well because they stop what they do to be there on time and part of customer service is communicating that. I've had pretty bad pain these past few days on a top right molar that I'm sure is going to be a Root Canal but I haven't been able to get a hold of anybody. I've called when they just open and have had to come in person during their work hrs and they are closed. No sign as a warning for patients. I understand the holidays are coming and at times they do close but I feel posting it in their front door or something would be the professional thing to do or The Staff taking care of that but at times it seems they don't care. The hours they have on their Yelp doesn't match in reality. I've tried calling several times and it's the same recording since we started coming 10 years ago it rings 2-3 times and then voicemail that It feels they never get to. I don't think I'm asking for a lot to be in the loop and know they will be closed from this date to further noice if that's the case. Maybe a new recording would be great it takes a few minutes to make one that sounds friendly and a bit more professional in my defense. Like I said I'm heartbroken because I really genuinely love coming to Dr. Boots but a bit more effort has to go into the front to feel some sort of compassion or to feel heard when someone is going thru some sort of pain and especially someone who is a recurring customer of 10+ years and has referred so many people here.. As desperate as I am I contacted another Dentist that gave me an appointment for Friday and even sent a text as a reminder and to save on my calendar.. that's all it takes and I felt heard. Dr. Yip is obviously very experienced and was amazing in extracting all four of my wisdom teeth under local anesthesia. He was very communicative during the procedure and was frequently checking if I was okay. It was such a smooth process, I felt like I was safe and in good hands the whole time. The office and doctor was thorough enough to even type and print out custom post op instructions for me. The assistants and front desk receptionist (Diana) were also amazing. All super nice people that seem like they enjoy working there. Diana was very flexible in scheduling my extraction appointment and helpful in checking on my dental insurance. The assistants were also all accommodating. I had wisdom teeth that I didn't get extracted at a younger age due to financial constraints. It was a difficult extraction and we suspected I might have some sinus complications going in. Part of my tooth fractured and I had to come back for a followup to get it removed. I was pretty nervous, but Dr. Yamamoto spent a lot of time describing the procedures and making sure I was comfortable. I had remarkably no pain following either with his instructions and recommendations. Also, the staff were very nice and heartwarming (also fellow bruins!). If you come here and need oral surgery, you can't go wrong with either surgeon. Thank you so much Dr. Yamamoto!! You rock!!

For context, my son had to have a tooth removed when he was 7 years old with Dr. Kawahara because he was too anxious to have it done with his pediatric dentist. Now almost 10 years later, we saw Dr Kawahara for a consult on removal for his impacted wisdom teeth. Upon seeing Dr. Kawahara years later and discussing how it had been a while, he teased my son about how he remembers my son crying and screaming before....which in reality my son didn't do in his office - since he had been prescribed anti-anxiety medicine beforehand for the minor procedure. (I think this comment was meant as a joke, but Dr. Kawahara's delivery is very dry; regardless we shrugged it off as a bad attempt at humor and a weird way to attempt to reestablish trust with a patient.) As we began discussing the surgery process for wisdom teeth removal, I shared that our son is slightly anxious about the surgery after hearing friends talk about their experience. With dry humor, Dr. Kawahara teased "most people survive." He repeated this phrase during our consult at least 3 more times. It began to be rude since he clearly heard me attempt to reassure my son about the IV that would be needed and recovery. Dr. Kawahara STILL insisted on repeating the phrase, "but most people survive." It became annoying to the point that I literally asked Dr. Kawahara, "Why do you continue to use that phrase when I have repeatedly expressed my son is slightly anxious about the procedure?" His response was that he was just joking. I found his way with my son to be quite insensitive and lacking in emotional intelligence. My teenage son also found the whole experience off-putting, so we are happily having his surgery done with another oral surgeon. If your dentist or orthodontist initially refers you to this office, I suggest scheduling a consult with another oral surgeon (to avoid wasting $200+ for the consult fee). There are multiple other surgeons with better reviews, so don't settle when you can see someone better.

Dr B has taken care of me and my smile since 2016. I have referred countless family and friends to his practice and we all love him. I received a VIP experience at TorriMed, from scheduling my appointment to the needed extraction…read more One of my most significant concerns with the service at TorriMed is if they are in my Guardian network. Once confirmed. I told the receptionist about the urgency of my situation, and I was scheduled ASAP. On the day of my appointment, I received a call from the doctor's office asking if I could come in earlier. I did, but I completed the digital intake forms they sent before arriving. I was glad to complete the forms at my own pace at home. Plenty of parking was on site, and the atmosphere was clean, bright, upbeat, and open. I provided the receptionist with my dental referral information. One of the first things I notice is the state-of-the-art equipment. They could have me stand at a machine that scanned my face, and within moments, they had an x-ray of my mouth on the display. Dr. Samuel introduced himself and assessed the situation. I asked if he would be able to do the extraction that day. Dr. Samuel responded, "That's why I called you in earlier so that, if possible, we could do the extraction today." I was all in. So Dr. Samuel prepared me by telling me what to expect and explained a procedure he uses to promote rapid healing. The only drawback for me was the cost of the procedure and that it involved drawing some blood from me. That was the first drawing of blood at the dentist. We came to an agreement that included the Dr. providing a 200-dollar discount. I am happy with the excellent service from Dr. Samuel and his entire staff. One suggestion: pipe some soothing healing vibration music in the surgery room. I highly recommend Dr. Samuel and the TorriMed Oral Surgery and Dental Implants office. I will be back again.
