Love this place. It's home cooked meals in the back of a grocery store. Kimchi is delicious. Squid salad is simply tasteful and flavorful. I waited less than five minutes for the food to arrive.

After our hard morning doing our Atlas Obscura check ins we headed for what we love most. A small Korean cafe in the market, today frequented by military and us. Service was friendly and food came out fast. Soon Dubu and DoenJang was plentiful and tasty. I think the aliens in New Mexico must have had their way with the local shrimp, mutant indeed.

A very cute family owned store and restaurant. They have so many Korean products. They have a restaurant inside and we decided to try it out! We order a dish called ddeokbokki with rice cakes and noodles. It was a little spicy but so delicious. We also ordered the tofu soup and that was yummy too. I would like to go back and try their bulgogi beef bowls next time! The workers are also very friendly.

I love coming to the A-Ri-Rang for lunch then shopping for home goodies! They offer Japanese and Korean food at the market. The fresh kimchi is always a must for us to have in our fridge. For lunch this time we order kimchi-jjigae , bibimbap . They were both delicious. I love the flavors very authentic and sending me back to south Korea.

Such a gem of a little Korean spot. The food is incredibly fresh and tastes like it was made by a grandma who really loves you--comforting, homemade, and full of flavor. Portions are generous for the price, so you leave happy and satisfied every time. Will always recommend and always come back. Best place in Albuquerque!

4.5 stars. True hole in a wall place! love Arirang. I visited it many times during COVID's peak times and didn't know they also had a restaurant in the back of the shop until I read about it on Yelp and visited the restaurant recently I loved that I could get some Korean fixes here and the items were more authentic than Korean food I could get elsewhere. The portions were also generous..so you could share/take some leftover home. I wished the restaurant offered more banchan (side dishes during meals,) and that there were more items like drinks and desserts as well. I'd love to try more authentic dishes from here! Note: also, this market isn't really an overall Oriental Market as the name started but mostly Korean items (e.g. no southeast asian items). Small shop but definitely good ones if you are looking for Korean items for your grocery needs~

We have lived in ABQ for over 25 years and until today really could not say, "The Best". Friends, I hesitate to write a review here because this amazing family establishment will become way too popular, but to be fair to the family that runs this business I need to share, this is by far the absolute best Korean restaurant I have had the joy of experiencing. The food is exceptional. It is small, with few tables, but the food. If you go to places for the food. You simply can't go wrong here. The food was fresh, served promptly, and delightfully flavorful. I hope anyone seeing this review gives them a a try. You see the outside of the building and wonder, well step inside and be prepared for delicious authentic dishes. The Best Enjoy my friends

This is a hidden gem, you'll want to seek out. You would probably drive by the building not knowing this is a must try for Korean food in the area. The exterior of the building is line like with most in the area, it looks old and it was probably converted from the previous business that was there. The signage outside for the business isn't super fancy or anything, so you could just over look it easily. This is a your small mom and pop restaurant with a little market attached to it. This is specifically for the restaurant. First of let me just say the food is food, we ordered BiBimBap, JapChea, and a veggie pancake. I have no complaints about the food as everything was good and we'll be back for sure to try other items. This way above some other places Korean spots I've had in the area. This is a small little spot with very limited seating with about 6 tables and maybe 20 people for seating. The layout is open and you can see the part of the back of the house area. Service was great and everyone was friendly. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it can get busy. Because of the limited seating there was people who had to wait. I had the SolDot BiBimBap and it was good and filling. To me this is a solid choice and can't go wrong. I can see where some people could say it is t as seasoned for flavor, but I personally have no complaints. They will bring out a bottle of sauce if you want to spice it a bit to. My girlfriend had the JapChea and I was like holy dang! when they brought out the plate. This is a pretty big portion and let's you feel like you're getting you're money's worth. She couldn't finish it, so we took it the rest home. I had the some of leftovers a few hours later and it was really good and I mixed some rice with it. I would say JapChea is a personal preference on how it's prepared and this is a little sauced up more than what I'm use to. The sauce is savory and when I ate the leftovers, it wasn't as sauced up and I like it better that way. The veggie pancake is a must, this was just soooo good and when dipped in the sauce, even better. Nothing more needs to be said. I would give it a 4.5 overall from our experience with the knowledge this a little cozy spot with no expectations of a chain/corporate restaurant.

This small restaurant is the perfect home style Korean place if you need a bit of comfort and also want hearty, great tasting food. The service was quick and lovely and it was awesome that you could shop at the grocery store section at the same time. I absolutely recommend this place.

I think many people don't know that there is a restaurant within this grocery store which is run by Koreans and has many Korean customers! That is a very good sign! Though I look Korean, I was adopted as a baby and grew up in the USA. My Korean friend brings me, and it's always a delight to eat this flavorful food from this beautiful ethnic culture! Everything comes out fresh and plentiful! The soups are shareable if your appetite is smaller. Crispy Korean dumplings with dipping sauce were so good and different than the Chinese dumplings I'm used to. The wait staff is very friendly with smiles, and the place was clean. I look forward to returning and trying something new each time I go!

As someone who used to live in Korea- this hidden gem is a life saver! Go eat inside. EVERYTHING is delicious. I about died of happiness eating the seafood pancake and my kimchi stew today. The pancake was perfectly crispy, and all the veggies were fresh. Don't forget to check out the store for snacks and meal cooking ingredients!

They are the super grocery store for everything Asian! Ever been to the one in Vegas? Huge! This is just like it - similar in name too, which makes one wonder if they are somehow affiliated. Regardless, they have pretty much everything you need from pretty much every different Asian ethnicity. Huge fresh fish selection, dried noodle goods from around the globe, and everything in between. Forget Talin Market, this place has them beat! Well, Talin is a bit fancier you might say, but this place beats their inventory hands down. In addition, they have a little deli/restaurant in the back. No name, just the deli/restaurant area, cash only, but decent grub at a decent price. Head-on roasted duck ready to go? Yup! Roasted pig ready to go? Yup! Give em' a go, I think you'll be glad you did.

Very stinky seafood section . They need to pretty up this store like Hmart or 99 Ranch. Otherwise it's gonna die.

After waiting quite a while, I hung up and called back. This time, they took my order quickly and efficiently. I hadn't been here since they were in their previous location across the street, and I was really impressed with the new dining area. It was clean, well-decorated, and had a lot of open space. The front counter staff seemed a bit awkward or shy, I couldn't quite tell, but it was fine. They let me know my order would be ready in about 10 minutes. In reality, I waited closer to 20 mins todal, but it was absolutely worth it. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter, and it did not disappoint. It came with a delicious side salad made with fresh produce, a light dressing, and generous chunks of feta cheese. The platter also included some of the best hummus I've ever had, along with pita bread for dipping, though I honestly could have used a little more bread. The main dish featured tender, well-seasoned chicken served over rice with a creamy cucumber sauce that I could not get enough of. Seriously, this stuff was dangerously addictive.
