We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and were the only customers, we were greeted by a super nice woman who took our orders promptly and was super attentive the whole time we dined in. The menu has a great selection of food, we started with the chicken satay- the peanut sauce was BANGIN! My friend got the drunken noodles which were layered with flavor, and I got the crab pad thai. This was going to be a three star review for me based on an average of all the food / taste and the packaging being used. But.. Giving this place an upgrade on the star rating for two reasons: 1: The fried rice is excellent. Dare I say best in New Mexico. It just had the perfect flavor and texture, everything was cooked so authentically. Absolutely loved it. If this was all I ordered they would probably get a full 5 star rating. 2: The service was really good. The lady over the phone explained the options and although uber eats lacked an option to select a spice level she let me tell her what I wanted over the phone. The pad Thai was decent, above average, nice flavor. The pad see eww was what I would expect, it met expectations. You're probably wondering why would I have given this place a 3 or 4 star and not 5? Well a couple reasons. 1: They use styrofoam packaging. I know it's cheaper but it's cancer causing, many states have even banned it. I just felt weird eating a hot meal from a cancer causing plate. 2: the shrimp was okay but it had a mild fishy taste that was a bit off putting, also didn't like the tails still on but that was less of an issue. I'm in Albuquerque for a conference and I needed something different other than New Mexican cuisine. So I found this amazing Thai place. It's a hole in the wall and those kinds are the best. I had Pat Thai with chicken and I also had a Thai tea with coconut milk. They were both so delicious, particularly because the noodles were cooked. Just right, and thai tea had just the right amount of sugar. The waitress was so kind and she came over and checked on me and made sure that everything was going well. The place is for me. A traditional Thai place with tables and chairs Thai decorations. It's wonderful. And if I'm ever in Albuquerque, I will try something different from this wonderful restaurant. read more

He ordered pad Thai-- most places give you a huge bowl; this was a little bit of noodles on a plate. I had sweet & sour shrimp. Couldn't eat it. The shrimp tasted old and the breading was crazy thick and not fried properly-- it was soggy and dough-y. Very skimpy on the vegetables and I think there were, at most, 2 pieces of pineapple. There's a large shared parking lot for free parking. All seating is indoors. There are booths and standalone tables, so patrons in wheelchairs won't have any issues. I tried the pineapple fried rice and the pad Thai. The pineapple fried rice was served in a hollowed-out pineapple with fresh pineapple pieces. I enjoyed the raisins and cashews in it, and it had a good consistency, not being too oily or too dry. I'd order it again. The pad Thai was very bland and a disappointment. Both my friend and husband also thought the dish was a boring, tepid entree. It isn't something I'd get there again. Overall, it's a decent restaurant, but there are better options in the city. Underwhelmed and Disappointing... and truly worthy an 'Albuquerque Five Star' (A standard rating given to any new restaurant opening in Albuquerque) After our go to 'Thai Restaurant' closed, the search for a replacement began. After reading views decided to give Lets' Eat Thai Cuisine" a go. In all fairness I refrain from reviewing anyplace after a first visit thus eliminating any preconceived expectations. We ordered a second time, the first time 15 October and again last night 6 Nov. Both times we selected the same items: Pad Kee Mow/Chicken (SP5), Green Curry/Chicken/Hot (C1), 'Homemade' Eggroll (A1). Here is where the disappointment began... Eggrolls - Appeared to be anything but homemade. Everything was too consistent, uniform and lacked any variation in size, shape, filling to be homemade. In fact, I have purchased the similar, if not the exact eggrolls at Costco. Portion size... Honestly, they were extremely small for the price paid. The Pad Kee barely filled a standard 8x8 to-go container halfway on 6 Nov, and slightly larger portion the first time. There was a small about of leftovers the first time and no leftovers last night. The Green Curry, filled a deli size plastic quart container by half at best. Again, no leftovers last night. Taste... Eggrolls - bland, frozen poor attempt to pass off as "homemade" Pad Kee Mow/Chicken - the noodles were cooked well. Chick was so finely minced it was difficult to distinguish between it and the egg and bamboo shoots. The spice was perfect and added to the dish Green Curry/Chicken - The taste of the spicy green curry was flavorful. A perfect blend of coconut milk, green curry, and an expect amount of heat. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. The container primarily consisted of curry broth. The amount of chicken and vegetable was a minimum, at best. The green beans were wilted and slightly passed their prime, while the red bell pepper was crisp, it was also scarce. I ordered the yellow curry combo plate which comes with a premeal eggdrop soup - fresh and the veggies actually had flavor/texture. Curry was spot on with just the right heat. I had the samosas for an appetizer, it was like a samosa quesadilla style, unfortunately the inner filling wasn't evenly distributed making some portions filled and others lacking. This could be unfair if you're sharing this with someone, as they will surely get partially filled samosas. I had the pumpkin curry with shrimp and added a medium spice heat level. That did not disappoint, it was very tasty and great size portion. The 3 condiment containers of sauce at the table could use a major sanitizing wipes down on a consistent basis especially during covid19 concerns. The exterior of the containers were sticky and crusty. Wiping those down regularly would give customers more peace of mind of overall cleanliness and sanitation throughout the entire restaurant. read more

I found this restaurant a year ago when in town for a conference and the food was amazing. I get Thai whenever I'm in Albuquerque and this small restaurant ranks higher than all I've visited with the exception of one that is north of the city. Each dish I've tried has wonderful flavor, the restaurant has nice atmosphere, and meals are a great value. Do you hate it when your favorite that restaurant closes and every other place you go has tasty but disappointing food (because you had your favorite dish in mind.) This has been my struggle since The Thai House closed a couple years ago. I kept getting ads to try this place out (repeatedly!) and decided to give them a try. I got my favorite two dishes: Pineapple Curry and Rad Nah (sometimes seen as Lad Nah elsewhere. These rice noodles have the smoky pan seared taste, with the added bonus of fried eggs. The gravy was sultry, dark and rich. Comes with broccoli and I picked beef for my protein. (Tofu is available.) My pineapple curry was delightful. I picked chicken (it's all white meat) but I've also had it with tofu. I ordered it "regular" which for me was just a light-medium heat; perfect for me. I am sure you could ask for hotter or milder. This sauce (red curry base) had peppers, onions, and green beans (happy little surprise that added a nice green crunch.) Sauce was hot, but not too hot, a little bit sweet from the coconut milk and the pineapple. But also thick and savory. Everything you want in a dish. Most southeast Asian places don't serve them, probably because they must take a lot of work to prepare. These were very good. The appetizer portion is 3, but they are big! Among the best Thai food in Albuquerque. It's not terribly fancy inside, but the food is excellent and they're very friendly. We've eaten at the Let's Eat Thai restaurant twice - each time has been delicious. Run, don't walk to enjoy this special place. The ambience is quiet, with gentle Thai music playing in the background. The service is fast and each dish is a pleasant surprise - try the Thai moneybags (minced chicken and mushrooms), and the flower-shaped mango sticky rice for dessert. The 2nd time we ate there we enjoyed a light salad, potato pastries, chicken cashew and flavorful egg drop soup. The only downside is it's on San Mateo just north of Candelaria, in a strip mall that has few other open businesses at night. There is no quaint view of the mountains. Looking forward to eating there again and trying another dish. Especially since the beloved Siam Cafe had to close, Let's Eat Thai is a treasure. read more
