My Solar Installation Experience - From Start to Finish from the CUMMINGS HOUSEHOLD…read more I would like to start by saying that I will rarely write reviews; however, I feel that I wanted to share my experience with potential new clients/customers in order to help clarify some of the possible shaded areas with buying solar and the overall process in which it entails . I recently had solar installed on our home. Our installation included 15 solar panels 2 Tesla Powerwalls Wanted to share the overall experience and how smooth and easy the process was from beginning to end.First and foremost, I'd like to thank David -from the start, he was extremely professional and courteous, willing to work around my busy schedule and set up an in-home meeting to gain clarity on what it was that my family and I were really trying to look for and gain from solar as well as a true benefit comparison to see if I was even a candidate for solar. During this time, we had set up a meeting for during the week, and David came over, utilized his laptop, and was able to look at my monthly bills pertaining to my energy consumption as well as roof outline. Drew up a game plan and was able to meet me with an approximate 70 to 80% differential offset of our total power consumption. This was due to my roof and house size. (We have a lot of slopes on our roof that unfortunately are not able to house panels and unfortunately, do not get much sun, therefore negating production. ) Given this information coupled with David's idea of having two Tesla Powerwalls, this was needed to help charge our two electric vehicles. Also, to assist in case of a power outage. Financially, this made sense for us to continue aiding in bringing our estimated bills down from $700 a month down to approximately $250 plus whatever is used surplus . Approximately $150 back to Edison on the higher months. The process was simple from permitting all the way to final activation. Precision Technologies handled everything professionally and efficiently. Starting with the city permitting all the way to my HOA. They were handling all the paperwork and all of the necessary documentation for approval. The team was clear, concise, and communicative throughout the entire process. They kept me updated every step of the way and answered all my questions quickly. (Installation day) I wanted to take this moment to thank Frank and his team of installers. It is my opinion that their attention to detail during installation was one of many examples that stood out to me about how much they cared about my home and satisfaction. Fast-forward approximately two days and once the installation was complete, I observed the solar panels to be quite high in my opinion. I mentioned wanting the solar panel risers/legs to sit lower to the roof. This limiting the possibility for animals to nest and create a mess on top of my roof. (Going the Extra Mile) Frank and his crew contacted David as David notified the solar panel supplier directly to find the smallest risers available. David was on the phone with me literally within that hour and told me that he was able to make this how my wife and I wanted it and was able to get us the lowest risers possible in the industry. They were ordered and installed the lower-profile risers specifically for my home the next day!The lower panel height improved the overall appearance dramatically; this was a must for my wife and I.Clean & Professional Workmanship Treating My Home Like Their OwnThe installation crew paid close attention to aesthetics and cleanliness. They made every effort to minimize visible conduit lines. Frank was able to talk with me and come to a solution to use a Smart Conduit Routing and decided to place the conduit low and discreetly near the foundation of the house. Kept the installation looking clean and seamless instead of industrial or bulky. The team even went to Home Depot themselves to get color-matching paint. As They painted the conduit to blend perfectly with my house.Final result looked polished and pleasing as if it came this way from the day it was built. After the system was installed and ready to be powered back on, there was a small issue: in our kitchen we had the following issues - cabinet under lighting burned out as well as our Main dining room light also burned out . Rendering the whole area with no lights and power .I notified the crew and they immediately responded and took accountability. They worked quickly to mitigate the issue. As they assured me they were going to make It Right.The very next business day, they met me at Home Depot.Allowed me to choose the replacement dining room light I wanted. Also Replaced all four under-cabinet kitchen lights at no cost.Unfortunately, these things do happen often rare but in my case this was due to a loose neutral wire .They covered everything without charging me. Even provided a gift card for the inconvenience.Their willingness to stand behind their work said a lot.
