Re-discovered this place after my neighborhood JoAnns closed. My Mom used to take me here 50 years ago! Just amazing! Lots of discount upholstery, oilcloth, costume fabrics. A quilters paradise. I bought the LivingSocial deal because quite frankly I was thrilled to see something besides a bikini wax and botox offer. I have a sewing machine and fancy myself a home/beginner crafter. I got some amazing and beautiful blue velvet that is destined for some great pillows. I also got some out of this world golden wool blend design that is also likely to become some pillows. I mean really, I am not used to fancy fabric like this. It seemed like most of their stuff was for drapes or upholstery but really some amazing designs, quality and inspiration. If you are looking for something different or something nice and simple they have both. I was looking for colors but their selection of beige/tan items was also great. All kinds of textures and patterns. The man there was very helpful and friendly. Also if you think you might get a large item (like I did)- park close, park in that spot for the painting place next door. I wasn't sure it was a parking spot but it totally is, it's kind of like under the trees and next to the building. I can't wait to sew my new pillow covers! read more

Ten minutes later, I had found a few materials I was interested in purchasing and a few materials I had questions about. He was still helping the same person and hadn't even made any kind of contact with me. Not a "I will be with you in a minute" or "I am finishing up with her, do you have a quick question." Great selection, amazing service. The guy here talked us through hundreds of fabrics and sent us home with swatches. He has such amazing knowledge and a real design sense. He listened to what I want, but also gently saved me from myself by telling me that he wouldn't let me upholster my couches in certain fabrics. The owner was very friendly and helpful in my search for upholstery fabric. It's a small store and he's easily available for great advice.
