If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I am extremely disappointed and feel obligated to warn others: do not trust Mike with your vehicle. The tint job I received was unacceptable--visible creases, sloppy workmanship, and nothing close to professional quality. What makes this even worse is the complete lack of accountability. After he was paid, he refused to communicate at all. I sent six messages over three months regarding the creases and the warranty he claims to offer. Every message was read. Not a single one was answered. He clearly has no intent of honoring his lifetime warranty. He tried to tell me that it was dog hair, not creases, in my window tint. Funny enough, I do not own a dog nor has an animal ever been in my car. My car was also detailed the day before drop off. It should also be noted, he stalked my social media accounts, found where I worked, and left a review for a company which he has never done business with as retaliation for a negative google review. Had clear bra done on my brand new truck: hood, fenders, and bumper. Not only does he have no idea what he's doing he also managed to cut through my paint on all the panels he touched. So my 80k truck now has to be repainted. I paid 1000$ for him to protect my truck and now he has cost me thousands of dollars in damages. Mike doesn't keep appointments, doesn't return calls, doesn't understand basic communication or professionalism, and doesn't do quality work. Mike DOES lie, whine and make excuses for his shortcomings. The $700 tint job he did on my office looks like a small child did the work - crooked cuts, multiple pieces of film on a single window pane, big gaps, bubbles. And he refuses to correct it. I went to A Shade Darker because it was close in Granite City. Got an estimate $250 so I went with it . The guy does work out of his house . Gripped off my car to have it tinted. When it was done I picked it up. I noticed right away that the tiny was coming off the back window at the top center. I called and left a message but no response. I waited a day and called again, left voice mail, no return call. Waited a day and decided I would call back until I got a response. After 5 calls I got someone to answer. He said "I'm at work , can I call you after I get off." I said sure. No call that afternoon either. In the mean time I've noticed the passenger side window is starting to peel off also. I used this business to have my sons windows tinted. During the install he somehow managed to break the mirrow in his car which is a $300.00 mirror. He didn't say anything to me even though I was there with my son when he payed the guy $400.00. I have repeatedly tried to contact him regarding reimbursement with no reply. read more
