First time visitor to this location / 2nd time with doing this experience…read more Located at the Bella Terra - plenty of parking and dining options Tickets can be bought online - no fee however did notice day of event pricing went down $5 Check in at door about 15 to 30 mins early pending size of group just to ensure able to sit together Alcohol / mocktails / caffeine / hydration available Small snacks and boards yes Gender neutral restrooms yes Adult and child apron available Cubbies to store items Spacious and functional in space with multiple long and short tables Dates / group outing / celebration experience Teacher Jessica was really lively upbeat about the whole experience and encourage everyone to enjoy themselves. Was able to walk through most steps though some parts felt fast pace but also this particular experience mirror each other. Be prepared to have some paint get on you but very washable indeed. Definitely a fun experience for self and others and come out with a neat keepsake. Would check out other painting events at this location.

What a superb experience!…read more The instructor was super funny and inclusive of everyone in class. Instructions are bite size and totally manageable. The instructor showed her canvas and also had a digital screen in multiple rooms showing a magnified view too. Everyone had their own paint palette and easel. We came in with an assigned spot - hassle free no decision on where to be ;p Paint dried fast so we could take it home right after. About 2-3 hours and you can buy drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and food (snacks) while you're there (no outside food allowed). Fun spot - definitely recommend at least once in your life ;p

3 years ago on our 2nd anniversary we came to Long Beach and spent the weekend hanging out around…read morethe harbor and going to the Aquarium. So for our 5th anniversary we decided to come back to Long Beach but this time my fiancée had several groupon deals to choose from. So out of the 5 options I chose the Queen Mary tour and the painting class with wine. That's how we stumbled across Creative Canvas LA. Laniqua (the owner) was awesome from the moment we called her to see if she would accept our groupon the next day. She saved a spot for us and asked to send her an email once we purchased the groupon so she could make it official. Very cool! Trying to find the place wasn't too hard but we did have to ask a restaurant near by where we could find the painting class. Fortunately for us, they knew exactly what we were talking about and point us along the way. Upon arriving, we had the opportunity to meet Laniqua in person and she remembered it was our anniversary while pointing us to our seats and blank canvases. She had an assistant who was awesome and very helpful while Laniqua walked us through the steps. The only negative was that the groupon said the class comes with a free glass of wine but there wasn't any available and if we did want drinks we had to purchase them from the bar next door. Other than that, the class was fun and very interesting the way you learn how to paint w picture. I would highly recommend taking her class and just make sure to call to see what location she'll be at because she has several. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I took this class for the first time with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and LOVED it. We both had…read moreso much fun. Myia was our teacher and she was really cool. She had funny jokes and I really appreciated her coming around to help us individually when we were stuck or to save our paintings from our own destruction. I am not an artist naturally. Whenever I have to draw something I usually warn people that it won't be pretty. At the end of the session, and with the help of a glass of wine, I couldn't believe how well my painting turned out. Even for someone who really isn't drawn to painting, it was much easier than I thought when Myia broke it down step by step. I love it so much, and have it proudly displayed in my room right now. Thanks Myia for a very memorable night :)

This is such an adorable little art studio in the bixby knolls area. I have brought my toddler to 2…read moreof their toddler time craft activities. The first time I went we were the only ones there for a while and the owner, Robin was very kind and attentive to us and make us feel very comfortable without being overbearing. It was really great to experience the art time with my daughter in this space. We had done a succulent pot craft. My daughter loved painting her pot, and then adding embellishments from their craft area. They have so many cool art project nights. We definitely plan to keep coming.

The space was safe and welcoming, even for our special needs son! The musical instruments were a beautiful touch! We completed 3 projects and Greg helped EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON in our group! We all felt included and left with a lot of pride and our creative juices flowing. It's in a safe corner location in Bixby with a little area out front to get air or hang out in between projects. This came in very handy for our kiddos to run out some energy. The prices are reasonable and I had a lot more fun here as compared to those wine and paint nights. I mean, don't get me wrong, those are fun too but it doesn't allow for a ton of creativity. So if you're itching to create or explore art for the first time, this is the studio for ya! I would highly recommend this place to anyone (all ages and abilities) for private events, birthday parties, take a class, or just pop in and explore! You won't regret it!
