I have used A+ Sprinklers for several jobs now and have been impressed every time with their attention to detail, thoroughness, and efficiency. First time I used them, I thought I was in for a bill worth hundreds of dollars in repairs, thinking I had a leak. Eric came the day after I called and quickly assessed that I had a minor issue, he fixed it in minutes, and I only had to pay for the service call. Since then I've had them install a koi pond, two raised gardens, and a flagstone patio, and I couldn't be more pleased with how everything has turned out. Everything started out well. Didn't end 100% satisfied and wont do business with them again. First I was told to cut my grass prior to treatment then was told not to and it was too late as I had my son cut it. So who knows if the treatment will work now. I was also given an estimate with three plants that would be planted in my flower bed with a total of 6-9 plants total. What I got was 9 plants of two different plants.When I calmly asked him about it, he got defensive and rude. I had planned on giving this business several more jobs but will now take my business else where. Be careful with them, make sure you very descriptive with them, they seem to lack education. read more

I took bids on repairing my irrigation system this year. I bought a house 2 years ago that was abandoned for at least 3 years previous to my purchase, and decided it was time to get the irrigation system working to save the foundation of my house. I've never had a sprinkler before so knew nothing about them, and wasn't willing to try to learn on a broken system. A friend of mine in Kyle, TX highly recommended Eric, so I called to see if he'd be willing to commute to Round Rock, and he was. I want to share the short stories on the 2 companies I had come out before Eric so you'll see why I hired him. The first company that came out was ABC Home and Pest Control. Their guy that came was pleasant, he looked at my irrigation system's control box and told me it didn't work (no surprise there) and that it would have to be replaced to find out what else might be wrong with my irrigation system. ABC charges $85 for the initial visit, even if nothing is done, but they'll credit that amount to your account if you hire them. I paid the money and told him I had a few more bids to take. I can't recall the name of the second guy that came out and can't find the post in the FB group where I found him. He brought a tool to measure the electrical current of the irrigation system and told me I had an electrical line cut somewhere. He was able to find one of the valves and get that section of the irrigation system working, but couldn't find the others. He verbally gave me a general bid for the job with a lot of "if we find"s... I asked him to email me a quote because I don't remember numbers well. A week passed, no response, I followed up with his receptionist, still no response to this date. I called Eric and scheduled an appointment about a week later. He's in Kyle, my friend raves about him, I didn't mind waiting. Eric arrived promptly, was professional, and friendly. I gave him the brief rundown on the irrigation system's history, he said he'd like to check it out and would prepare the bid onsite. About 20 minutes later he knocked on my door and had the bid in hand. He started with "I found all your sprinkler heads and..." and I interrupted with "Wait. What? You found all my sprinkler heads?" He replied, "Yes, I found all your sprinkler heads and..." I interrupted with the same question because I couldn't get my brain to process that he found all my sprinkler heads, while nobody else had been able to. We did this a couple more times before my brain finally registered that Eric had found all my sprinkler heads, been able to properly assess what and where the damage was, and prepare a thorough, *detailed* quote because He'd Found Everything! lolol His bid was comparable to what I could recall the second guy telling me, but Eric's bid was complete and thorough, so I hired him on the spot and he went to work immediately. During the repairs he found a couple more heads that were close to breaking down and I paid that small additional expense without qualms. Once Eric got done replacing the control box and replacing and aligning sprinkler heads he helped me program the control box and walked me through all its' features, then set the system on test and walked me through all the peculiarities and normalities of my sprinkler system. He did such a great job teaching me about my system that I was able to reprogram it when I accidentally cut off its' power while preparing to have some ceiling fans installed, and I've adjusted 1 or 2 heads on my own. I love being able to write raves about the people who provide me services! I look forward to doing business with him in the future as my system needs adjustments and repairs. read more

We called out A + originally to get a quote on repairing our front sprinkler system and giving us a price for installing a system in the back yard back in March of this year. For the front yard service call Eric showed up promptly with 2 helpers and began assessing the system. I was not present for this repair but had a family member at the house. Needless to say, the crew was attentive and quick to repair the system and getting it running. I was a little surprised they did not communicate needed repairs prior to performing work or seek authorization to do such repair. System was repaired and installed a new controller, however new controller was not programed and after a little research found that we were charged double what controller typically cost. Eric mentioned something to my family member that was present about, "he charges more for parts because he offer a longer warranty." Only warranty documentation I was provided was on the receipt which stated 1 year, which seems pretty standard to other irrigation companies. For backyard quote given was $2200 for 4 or 5 zones. When asked for more detail if price was specific to 4 zones or 5, Eric replied he would install new system for that price. After doing a little shopping around we decided to proceed with A +, as other companies had a several week scheduling delay and we needed work done quickly. However we reduced the number of zones to 3, and was quoted a price of $1800. Day of work, a 3 man crew showed up but Eric was not present. Crew worked promptly and installed new zones. Then, a problem was encountered with one of the lines and was told it would take an additional $200 to reconnect line for existing zone. I decided to proceed, as we were having new sod installed and couldn't afford to have problem assessed. Prior to leaving I had to ask crew to check zones before the left but they again did not program controller to run watering schedule. Conclusion My overall assessment is proceed with caution. Given the opportunity to do it again, if I was in a time crunch I may chose A + again, as they were quick to respond and perform work. If I was not in a rush, I would probably go with another company. As A +'s pricing seemed a bit higher to me and as a consumer I did not always fully understand their pricing information. Invoices are all hand written and not broken down to corresponding work performed, so it's harder to tie actual cost to actual work performed. read more

The Rainbird system works wonderfully , anytime I have questions or need help Eric is right there to give me a hand I love this system. I have many friends who use him . I called A+ Sprinklers and Landscape and was able to get right through. The gentlemen on the other end of the line was professional and courteous, took my information and scheduled an appointment. Eric and Patrick performed the service a week later and they showed up on time with a 30 minute call ahead. They came out initially and did a full inspection of the system, provide a prompt estimate of the work and also provided me a quote up front for additional work (installing 3 bubblers for new trees) that I asked them to perform. Before they even began Eric gave me an estimate of the cost and despite them having to do some additional trenching they were able to meet their original estimate and even came in a few dollars under what he promised. They were both very friendly and courteous, dressed professionally, performed exceptional work and cleaned up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again in the future. read more
