Has it been awhile yes I am a mom, my kids come first. So on my birthday I decided to come get my hair highlighted, I came in about a few months back to get a haircut and Marlene did a great job! Today it seemed like Marlene was in a rush but I did book my appointment a few days ago, so she should have been made aware that I was coming today. Marlene starts bleaching my hair, once the foils go in I start feeling a burning sensation on my scalp. I know this isn't a normal feeling because like I said, I have had my hair highlighted all throughout my 20's before I was a mom hehe. Well I mention it to Marlene and she then starts to blame it on me and says oh yeah your box color is why. Mind you I have had box color all throughout my late 30's and I have never experience this burning sensation. However, she says it's almost done. Can you just leave it in for a little longer and proceeds to use a blow dryer on cool setting for my scalp. As she's doing that I ChatGPT, what I'm feeling on my scalp. It tells me to have her remove the product immediately as this is a chemical burn. Mind you throughout this whole application I have hair dye on my forehead on my eyelid ( I will be providing pictures ). She did mention that she could take some of the foils out because that's why it's burning, that heat is coming through the foils because they are all bunched together. She proceeds to leave it in a little bit longer, then she washes everything out and proceeds to style. After she's done she's like ok, I'm going to write all this down because your scalp is sensitive on your card for when you come back next time. Then she proceeds to give me a paper card that she filled out for me to sign and just wants me to hurry up and sign it but if you know me, I don't sign anything without reading it first. Sure enough it states that it's a chemical burn and basically she wants me to sign away all liability. Honestly, if she would've just been honest and apologized, heck even gave me a little of discount ( $300 is what you spend at a upscale salon with a haircut and your scalp doesn't burn) . Everyone said why the hell did I pay for service like this but I will say the one plus is the color did come out good, which is why I gave the two stars. I was just extremely disappointed in how the situation was handled and because of it, she lost a customer and is receiving this bad review.

I blame myself for being impulsive and wanting a haircut last minute, just picking any salons nearby that is available, so whatever is the result, 100% my fault. I called to check if i can come in for a haircut and was told yes. I came in right away. Upon entering, I was welcomed, she asked if she can wash my hair i said yes. I went to my chair after, showed her a picture of what i want, asked me if i want bangs, confirmed if she can do curtain bangs, she said yes. She cut my hair with less than 10 snips, then focused on the bangs. After she cut the bangs, she blowdried it for a long time trying to style it, when it dried i checked it was so ugly. I didnt mind at this point it's already done, it will grow anyways. Then she told me im done when my hair is still wet, i asked her if she can blow dry ill pay extra, she told me haircut and shampoo is 30, blow dry is extra, but didnt disclose how much extra. She dried my hair and the outcome is way different from the picture i showed. I wanted to ask if she can layer it more but i hesitated and thought that i can just do it myself at home. I was already unhappy at this point. When i came to pay, she was charging me $78.00? Mind you this is not a high end salon, this is a regular salon in the corner, who would believe a hair cut cost 78?? She said it's the blowdry part that's expensive, if she had told me that in the beginning i wouldve left with wet hair. I still gave her a $10.00 tip, so i spent $88 dollars today for a haircut that made me mad. We come to places like these to relax and gain confidence, if we leave feeling mad and disappointed, i dont know what else to say. Again it's my fault for making a bad decision. So for those who want to get a haircut, especially if you are a busy mom like me who has no spare time, do your research and make an appointment to your favorite and trusted salon.
