When the electrical circuit in my woodshop tripped while I was doing a tricky cut on my table saw, I knew I could no longer ignore the fact that my business had outgrown my 4 outlet, single circuit electrical set up. Sam came to my new house last week, I asked him to do a number of small and large electrical projects. There is nothing he can't do. He ran my electric vehicle charger down to the street, and even found a cabinet to keep it safe. He ran cables to my front gate and installed a chime for the doorbell. I wanted an outlet at the front exterior of the house my wife and I just purchased (which he did just like I wanted), but before he did, he checked the whole electrical system to make sure there weren't any glaring problems. While I hate having to leave a bad review, especially for a small business, but A-Tech Electric's failure to adhere to a schedule has now wrecked havoc with all of our other contractors that were the next in line. We scheduled an appointment with him to do some simple electrical work for our kitchen remodel project. He said he would be coming by at 12 PM to do the job. 12:15 PM rolls by, no text, call or anything. At 12:30 I call and his phone just goes straight to voice mail. I then have to call the painter and cabinet installer, informing them that they will not be able to come the following day because the electrical work wasn't done. He then calls at 2:30 PM saying that he was stuck at a job and would be coming in 1 hour. Again, total flake, he was a no show. A simple call or text would have helped so I could work out the schedule with all the other contractors. Due to his actions, we now have another week of having no kitchen, extra costs from eating out and two other people who are pissed off because we had to push them back and now they aren't going to make money from the day of work that they missed. Luckily, the painter recommended another electrician who did the job for more than 50% less than what he was going to charge. Guess what, he was on time and very communicative. He finally called back the following day at 6:30 PM and left an apologetic voice mail, but by that point, the damage was done. In business, your word is your bond and for this, I'm giving him a 1 star. read more
